Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 127: Chapter 116: Swimming Pool and ’Hero Saves the Beauty’ (Part 1)

```
Seeing that the holidays were almost over, He Wenyu dragged Luo Qianqian out every day to play, saying that they needed to make up for the fun they missed during school times, so a small group of them ran around everywhere and got quite tanned. Luo Shufan had already been snatched away for studying by Elder Zhang, which Luo Qianqian found quite amusing.
”Xiao Yu, Qianqian, I have some tickets to the swimming pool, let’s go to the pool today?” Zhang Jingjing, holding several tickets, got out of the car and excitedly shouted to a few people waiting in the shade of the trees.
Zhang Sheng, Ye Chen, and Jiang An kept silent; after all, the boys barely had any say in this little group.
Jiang Qian had already jumped up: ”Is it the Shifang International Swimming Pool? I heard it’s newly opened and quite expensive.”
”Yeah, my dad’s old friend gave them to me, so I took them.” Zhang Jingjing was squinting her eyes, smiling, waiting for praise.
”Jingjing, you are really Jingjing, aren’t you?” Luo Qianqian sighed looking at the tickets: ”First, we don’t have an adult with us, second, no one brought swimsuits, and third, whoever can swim raise your hand!!!” Then she saw that, apart from herself, the six people all raised their hands in unison.
Luo Qianqian’s eyes widened in disbelief and she asked, ”I won’t talk about the others for now, but Xiao Yu, when did you learn? How come I didn’t know?”
”I knew how to swim since I was little...” He Wenyu was startled by Luo Qianqian’s voice and touched his ear: ”Although I don’t swim well, I still know how.”
”You can’t swim?” Jiang An looked at Luo Qianqian with a surprised face: ”I thought you knew how to do everything.”
”Haha, let’s go, we’ll get swimming suits from my dad’s store, consider it a gift from me.” Jiang Qian said, laughing as she put her arm around Luo Qianqian’s shoulder and led her away: ”Sis will teach you, no worries.”
”I don’t trust you...” Luo Qianqian, looking at the excited little troop, could only resign herself to follow, but inwardly she was thinking that she had to avoid getting into the water at all costs.
Jiang’s family ran a clothing store; although it wasn’t big, it was well-stocked, having swimwear, swimming caps, swim trunks, and goggles, anything you could think of for summer.
Luo Qianqian couldn’t be bothered to choose; did it make any difference what children wore? So, she just ate ice cream obediently outside the store with the boys.
”Qianqian, it’s going to be hard to meet again once you’ve gone to another school.” Zhang Sheng said with a melancholic expression: ”I really miss the times we had before.”
”Don’t talk as if you’re so world-weary... Speaking of which, aren’t you not going to see us either, since you’re heading to a private junior high?” Luo Qianqian said disdainfully.
”I had no choice. My mom and dad are too busy, so they sent me to a fully boarding school, worried I would cause trouble.” Zhang Sheng sighed, stuffing the last bite of his ice cream into his mouth, and looked up at the sky.
”Then why didn’t you take the exam for First Middle School? You could board there as well...” Luo Qianqian reluctantly spoke, seeing his sorrowful demeanor.
”Who says I didn’t go for it? I just couldn’t do it!” Speaking in strange tones, Zhang Sheng got a kick from He Wenyu who had come out of the store, causing him to spit out a chunk of ice: ”What are you doing to me?”
”Stop fooling Qianqian; you think I don’t know, right? You took the exam for the experimental school, swore you would pass but then failed, and only then you went to the private school. When did you ever go to First Middle School?” He Wenyu said with disdain: ”Qianqian, you don’t know, but if he had passed the experimental school exams, his mom would’ve hired someone to take care of him, but he failed to get in by himself.”
Watching He Wenyu and Zhang Sheng bicker all the way, they finally arrived at the swimming pool.
When she opened the bag of clothes He Wenyu gave her, Luo Qianqian saw the pink frilly swimsuit and twitched the corners of her mouth, then looked at He Wenyu and asked loudly, ”What is this?”
He Wenyu shrank his neck, speaking weakly: ”It’s what you let us pick, of course, we chose a very noticeable color, in case you fell in the water and no one noticed...”
”Jingjing, is this the one?” she asked, looking at the yellow and black checkered two-piece swimsuit in Zhang Jingjing’s hand.
”There are only a few styles for children’s swimwear, all quite bright, this one is pretty nice...” Zhang Jingjing said sensibly.
”Jiang Qian?” Luo Qianqian turned her fierce gaze to the black two-piece Jiang Qian was holding.
”Really, you’re still a child, look, Xiao Yu is a head taller than you and she can’t fit in yours either,” Jiang Qian pretended not to see the brightly colored swimsuit like a flower that Luo Qianqian was holding.
Luo Qianqian sighed as she looked at the blue and white striped two-piece swimsuit in He Wenyu’s hand, no longer believing these traitorous friends.
To her annoyance, it fit her perfectly in size. Luo Qianqian sighed again as she saw her three friends, who had finished changing into their swimsuits and were covering their mouths. She locked her clothes in the locker, resignedly followed the trio to shower, and then entered the pool. The three boys were already waiting.
”Pffthahaha.” Zhang Sheng was the first to burst out laughing at Luo Qianqian, ”Qianqian, seriously, I never thought of you as a child before, but now you definitely look like one. Do you want to go play on the slide over there?”
”Get lost!” Luo Qianqian glowered.
”It looks nice, doesn’t it?” Seeing that Luo Qianqian was getting angry, Jiang Qian hurriedly pulled her little brother over to agree with her.
Jiang An blushed to the tips of his ears and turned his head to the side, ”Sis, this will make Qianqian hate you...”
”You child.” Jiang Qian, irritated, kicked her brother to the side and was surprised to notice as she looked at their swimsuits that even Xiao Yu’s chest was slightly raised, while Luo Qianqian truly looked like a child without any noticeable curves.
”Qianqian, do you want me to teach you?” He Wenyu hesitantly began speaking, noticing Luo Qianqian’s hostile gaze.
”No need, I’m going to play on the slide!” Saying so, Luo Qianqian went off to the children’s area by herself. She didn’t seem much taller than the children there.
”We’re done for... Qianqian is mad...” Watching Luo Qianqian sitting by the shallow pool side, watching the children play with water, He Wenyu just wanted to say she didn’t want to be given the evil eye by Luo Shufan, especially during meals. Whatever she wanted to eat, Luo Shufan would roll his eyes and snatch it away, even if it meant stuffing himself.
”Let’s play first, Qianqian will be fine in a bit. Children are all like this, didn’t we grow up the same way? She’ll come looking for us soon.” Jiang Qian, quite experienced, told Jiang An.
”Okay, then I’m going to rent a swim ring for Qianqian.” He Wenyu nodded and ran off quickly, while the rest started their warm-up exercises before getting into the water.
Luo Qianqian sat to the side, watching the children play happily and couldn’t help feeling sullen. She was indeed a child, but how could her awful classmates, after three years of being together, treat her like this? She was very unhappy, extremely unhappy.
”Big sister, can you throw the ball back over here for me?” A child of no more than four or five years old threw a beach ball towards Luo Qianqian, which then rolled a few meters further. The child looked helplessly in the water at the ball that had rolled away and could only ask for help.
”Sure.” Luo Qianqian stood up to walk towards the ball, picked it up, and as she stood up, she bumped into a wall of flesh.
Rubbing her head and bowing, Luo Qianqian apologized, ”I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you.” She was a bit dazed from the impact as she had stood up too hastily.
”Are you blind? If you’re not going to use your eyes to look where you’re going, might as well dig them out and throw them away.” The harsh words reached Luo Qianqian’s ears before she could react. She was pushed to the ground with great force, fell hard, and the ball flew into the pool. Her gaze met that of the person who pushed her as she lifted her head from the fall.
