My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1388: Chapter 1208: That Moment_3

Please believe me, from the very beginning of being with you, what I valued was not the wealth of your family. I don’t care about these at all. What is money to me is not important at all. Maybe you think I am a materialistic woman, or perhaps in the eyes of the whole world, I am just with you for the money and status of the Zhang Family, but I never thought that way.

I know, now that I am asking you for a divorce, you will not agree no matter what. So I can only choose to leave temporarily by myself. Let’s meet again when we both calm down and figure things out. To be honest, I really don’t cherish anything about this. All I want is a stable life, a stable marriage, and the most basic trust between husband and wife. But in the end, I can’t get any of this, so what is the point of me staying here, only to add to the sadness? As for the child, you should take care of her for now. When one day I return, I hope to see her grow up happily, not living forever in hatred and pain, and without that devilish training continuing. He is my own son. Seeing him come home injured time and again because of training, how can I as a mother not feel heartache? He is my son, a piece of flesh from my body. Please treat her well. Do not let the changes in the relationship between us affect your judgment of the child, and do not let the changes in our marital relationship affect Grandpa’s health. Let’s resolve the matters between us after some time. Eventually, we always have to face it. I know I can’t escape, so I can only choose to temporarily avoid it.

Zhang Yichen felt a sharp pain in his heart...

”Do you know? At that moment, even though my heart was very, very painful, I still chose to treat him with such a ruthless and resolute attitude. I don’t understand for what he was willing to go so far for me at that time, and I don’t understand why I had to cruelly hurt him in this way. Everything I gained, really, was only so little. What I wanted was just that much. I never greedily hoped to gain many benefits. I only wish for my family to be alive and well.”

Zhang Ni stayed silent, quietly waiting for his father to continue speaking.

”Nai’er, do you know, during that time, all my cruelty was directed at your mommy.”

Zhang Ni couldn’t help but widen his eyes. He waited for what was to follow, and at the same time, he was afraid his father would tell him more facts that he couldn’t accept.

Ran Zhihan decided that before leaving, she should go to the hospital to see Old Master Zhang. After all, since she married into this family, Old Master Zhang had always taken care of her and never made things difficult for her. She was not an ungrateful person. Since her grandfather had shown her kindness, why should she avoid him? No matter what had happened between her and her husband, she shouldn’t take it out on her relatives. After all, they truly loved her.

Old Master Zhang was happy when he saw his granddaughter-in-law coming to the hospital to see him. He hadn’t seen her looking at him for a long time, and finally she came. Although he always hoped his grandson could have another child, he also wished to have his grandson’s company. No matter what kind of feelings they had, once they decided to be together, certain things must be faced.

”Zhihan, you’re here. What made you think of coming to see Grandpa today? Grandpa has been waiting for you all to visit me. Why didn’t you bring my great-grandson?

I haven’t seen him for so long, and now I really miss him. I want him to come and see his great-grandfather.

Have you all been especially busy recently, or has something happened at home? Why do you always not come to see me, leaving me alone at the hospital? Grandpa even thought you had forgotten about me. If not for you coming to see Grandpa today, you might really think you had forgotten about Grandpa, wanting to leave Grandpa alone in the hospital, while you happily live your loving married life together. However, seeing you today, Grandpa is very happy too. I haven’t seen you for so long, and I really miss you all!”
