The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 448: Chapter 447: Discussion

Upon hearing Song Chi’s words, Father Song and Mother Song looked terrified, and quickly said, ”Wei Li is young and ignorant, please don’t hold it against her. She won’t do this again.”

But Song Chi replied firmly, ”This matter is decided. You should take Wei Li back with you.”

Seeing Song Chi say this, Father Song and Mother Song were truly anxious. They quickly looked to Old Mrs. Song for help, ”Old Mrs. Song, Wei Li grew up with you; you surely know what kind of person she is. This time she was just confused and said such things. Please give her another chance.”

Old Mrs. Song hesitated a bit upon hearing this, as the bond from raising her for so many years was hard to ignore.

Song Chi frowned at the scene in front of him and finally looked at Old Mrs. Song, saying, ”Mom, this matter is settled, not to mention you’ll have to take care of Le Kang in the future, and you won’t have much time to look after Wei Li. She’s grown up now, and important life decisions must be considered. It’s better for her to return home, at least her parents can help arrange things.”

Hearing Song Chi say this, Old Mrs. Song stopped trying to persuade him further.

Seeing Old Mrs. Song fall silent, Father Song and Mother Song’s hearts sank.

On the other side, Song Weili’s face turned pale, full of disbelief. Although she previously said it was Old Mrs. Song who brought her over and took her away from her parents, she really never thought about going back. Even though she said those words, she had truly lived well at the Song Family all these years, and others viewed her highly. So she really hadn’t thought about leaving.

However, this time Song Chi was truly determined and quickly had Father Song and Mother Song take Song Weili away.

After the Song Weili family left, Old Mrs. Song sighed and said, ”Wei Li was quite a well-behaved child, how did she end up like this.”

”Mom, everyone changes. So Wei Li has changed a bit, but I know how you feel about her. When you miss her in the future, you can call her to come home.”

Old Mrs. Song nodded in agreement, ”That’s the only way.”

Seeing Old Mrs. Song a little down, Song Chi started talking about his son, ”Mom, you have the experience, and Xiaoqing is a first-time mother, probably unfamiliar with many things, so we’ll need you to take care of Le Kang more.”

”Sure, sure, you can rest assured, I’ll take good care of Le Kang.”

On the other side, Yiyi and Ding Yuejun were chatting with Song Xiaoqing. Seeing her a little tired, they decided to leave.

”Yiyi, why don’t you stay a little longer?”

Seeing Song Xiaoqing asking them to stay, Ding Yuejun said, ”Xiaoqing, although you’ve finished your postpartum period, you should still rest more.”

”It’s fine, I’m not tired. I’m so excited right now, I can’t sleep even if I want to. Let’s continue talking.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun and Yiyi stayed, and Ding Yuejun asked about the premature birth incident, ”Was that matter investigated, did the chef confess anything?”

Song Xiaoqing didn’t hide anything from Yiyi and her mother and directly said, ”It was investigated clearly. The chef was indeed instructed by someone, someone who was at odds with A Chi. They came up with such a sinister plan. Luckily, you were there, or who knows what would have happened to me and Le Kang.”

”Godmother, please don’t keep thanking us, we’re not strangers.”

Hearing Yiyi say this, Song Xiaoqing quickly said, ”Okay, I won’t say it again. If you have time in the future, come over to see Le Kang.”

Yiyi and her mom naturally nodded with smiles.

After chatting for a while, Song Chi returned.

”A Chi, how did it go with Wei Li?”

Without avoiding Yiyi and her mom, Song Xiaoqing asked directly.

Actually, she’d wanted Song Weili to leave for a while. Even though the girl seemed well-behaved, ever since she got pregnant, the way Song Weili looked at her belly made her very uncomfortable. Plus, her attempt to stir trouble with Yiyi made her resolute in the decision to send her back.

Yiyi looked at Song Chi with curiosity, wanting to know how he handled it.

”I’ve already had her parents take her back so that their family can be together.”

Hearing this, Song Xiaoqing felt relieved and laughed, ”That’s good. If mom misses her in the future, she can come to stay for a few days.” Since her son was still young, if Song Weili stayed at home with resentment, who knows what might happen. It’s better to let her reunite with her family.

”I think so too.”

Song Chi agreed with a nod.

Yiyi also nodded, feeling Song Chi handled it well.

After a few more words, Yiyi and Ding Yuejun took their leave.

”Yiyi, don’t listen to anything that Wei Li said. Even though your godparents have a child now, they still love you very much. Besides, you have me as your biological mother. Even if no one else cares for you, you always have me.”

Hearing this, Yiyi laughed.

”Mom, of course I don’t believe those words. Don’t you trust me? I won’t be fooled by other’s gossip.”

Seeing her daughter’s confidence, Ding Yuejun also laughed.

”See, I’m just muddled. Our Yiyi is very smart.” She got nervous because it concerned her daughter, and she was overthinking; her daughter understands everything clearly.

Mother and daughter shared a laugh.

When they got back home, they saw Mr. Ding had also returned.

”You’re back.”

”Yes, Dad, have you finished your work?”

Hearing his daughter, Mr. Ding nodded and said, ”Yes, it’s almost done.” Then he looked at Yiyi and said, ”Yiyi, come to the study with me later. I recently bought a calligraphy book, and I think you’d like it. If you do, it’s yours.”

Yiyi nodded and went to the study with Mr. Ding.

Mr. Ding indeed had bought a calligraphy book. Handing it to Yiyi, he said, ”Take a look, I think it suits you well.”

Yiyi took it and found it was a book on running script calligraphy, the characters flowed beautifully like clouds and water. She liked it very much at first glance.

”Thank you, Grandpa, I really like it.”

Seeing his granddaughter liked it, Mr. Ding smiled and nodded, ”I’m glad you like it. But I have something else to discuss with you about your mother’s birthday.”

Hearing Mr. Ding, Yiyi couldn’t help but ask, ”Grandpa, do you have any plans?” She had recently been thinking about this matter too, and didn’t expect Mr. Ding to be on the same page.

”I plan to hold a proper birthday party for your mother this time. What do you think?”
