The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 446: Chapter 445: Ungrateful

Ding Yuejun had already gotten ready early in the morning. Seeing that her daughter hadn’t come over yet, she went to her room to check and didn’t find her, so she quickly went to the side courtyard.

”Yiyi, let’s go over there a bit earlier. Are you ready?”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi quickly said, ”Mom, I’m ready now.”

Originally, she had already prepared everything, but since Song Xiaoqing gave birth prematurely, she prepared an extra dose of medicine, which took a bit more time. Fortunately, Grandpa knew she loved refining medicine pills and set up a well-equipped pharmacy in the side courtyard for her. Otherwise, she really wouldn’t have been able to make medicine pills at home.

After hearing her daughter, Ding Yuejun quickly said, ”Alright, then let’s head out.”

Once the mother and daughter were ready, they went straight to the Song Family.

Song Chi was in high spirits today because of the joyful occasion. He started welcoming guests at the door early in the morning. When he saw Yiyi and Ding Yuejun, he walked up to them with a smile, ”Yiyi, Yue Jun, you’re here, come on in and have a seat.”

”Godfather, congratulations to you.”

Yiyi said with a smile.

Ding Yuejun also offered her congratulations from the side.

Song Chi quickly said, ”Same to you, same to you.” With that, he led them into the house.

Inside, Old Madam Song was hosting. When she saw Ding Yuejun and her daughter arrive, she greeted them with a big smile.

This time, it was thanks to the mother and daughter that her daughter-in-law could give birth smoothly, so she was very grateful and didn’t dare be negligent.

”Yiyi, I haven’t seen you for a while. You’re getting prettier and prettier.”

Yiyi responded with a smile, ”Thank you, Grandma Song, for the compliment.”

”What’s with calling her Grandma Song? Isn’t it right to just call her Grandma?”

Seeing Old Mrs. Song say this, Yiyi didn’t dwell on it and called her Grandma again.

Old Mrs. Song’s attitude towards her had already changed, but not to this level of intimacy. This time she was much warmer, which made Yiyi a bit uncomfortable.

Following Old Mrs. Song was Song Weili, who just greeted Yiyi and her mother blandly when she saw them.

Yiyi and Ding Yuejun naturally didn’t mind. After talking to Old Mrs. Song for a bit, they asked about the baby.

Old Mrs. Song quickly said, ”Xiaoqing and the baby are still inside. You should go and see her. After all, the baby is still little, so we haven’t brought him out. We can hold him out when dinner starts later.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun agreed, ”That’s right.” Then she took Yiyi to Song Xiaoqing’s room.

When Song Xiaoqing saw Yiyi and Ding Yuejun coming, she was naturally delighted, ”Yue Jun, Yiyi, you’re here. Come and see Little Le Kang. This child can now smile at people.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun hurriedly walked up with a grin, ”Where, where, let me see Little Le Kang.”

Yiyi, full of curiosity, approached as well.

When they saw the little one quietly lying on the bed blowing bubbles, both were utterly charmed.

”Oh my, our Little Le Kang is really adorable.” Ding Yuejun couldn’t help but stroke the little one’s head, full of praise.

Hearing this, Song Xiaoqing smiled and said, ”When Yiyi graduates, hurry and have one with Xiao Gu, then you can help take care of it too.”

Yiyi hadn’t expected the conversation to turn to her, ”Godmother, it will still be a few years before I graduate.”

”It’s alright; it will be soon enough.”

Ding Yuejun agreed, nodding, ”You’re right, after Yiyi graduates, we’ll quickly have her marry Xiao Gu.”

Even though she was already engaged to Gu Tingyu, Yiyi still felt a bit shy when talking about their relationship, quickly looking to her mother, ”Mom, aren’t we here to celebrate Little Le Kang’s one-month banquet? Why are we talking about me?”

Seeing her daughter’s shyness, Ding Yuejun decided not to press further, ”Alright, alright, I won’t say more about you.”

At this moment, Old Mrs. Song’s voice came from outside, ”Xiaoqing, most of the guests have arrived. Let’s bring Little Le Kang out in a while.”

Hearing this, Song Xiaoqing nodded, ”Okay.”

Just then, Old Mrs. Song came in with Song Weili, lovingly gazing at her grandson.

Originally, she had lost hope, but never expected to have such a grandson. She had been smiling in her sleep these days.

Seeing that Old Mrs. Song wanted to hold the baby, Song Xiaoqing said from the side, ”Mom, how about I carry him out later, so as not to tire you?”

”Little Le Kang is still so small, how could he tire me?” Saying this, Old Mrs. Song had already picked up the baby, continually calling him dear grandson, overflowing with affection.

Seeing that the old lady was carrying effortlessly, Song Xiaoqing didn’t say more. The group then made their way outside.

Yiyi trailed behind, not expecting Song Weili to slow her pace and come up beside her.

Seeing Song Weili beside her, Yiyi initially paid no attention, but didn’t expect the other to call her.

Hearing Song Weili call out, Yiyi stopped and looked at her quizzically.

Seeing Xiaoqing and the others had walked far, Song Weili turned to Yiyi and said, ”Now that Uncle and Auntie have their own son.”

Hearing this abrupt statement from Song Weili, Yiyi raised an eyebrow, ”What exactly do you want to say?”

”What I mean is, as a goddaughter, you no longer hold any significance to the Song Family now that they have their own son. Why would they value you as a goddaughter anymore?”

Yiyi’s expression remained unchanged, her gaze coldly fixed on Song Weili as she said, ”If this is all you intend to say to me, I’d say it doesn’t concern you.”

Seeing Yiyi’s indifferent demeanor, Song Weili huffed, ”In a way, we’re in the same boat, but it seems my concern for you isn’t appreciated.”

Yiyi ignored Song Weili and continued walking forward.

”Hey, what do you mean by this? I’m talking to you and you’re being so rude.”

At this point, Yiyi finally turned to glance at Song Weili and said, ”After all these years, without speaking of the nurturing grace your godparents gave you, just the fact that Old Madam Song raised you should make you refrain from saying such things. Today is Little Le Kang’s full month banquet, a day of grand celebration, yet you’re here saying things that are neither here nor there. Why should I pay attention to you?”

”You...”

Song Weili was momentarily at a loss, not expecting Yiyi to respond like that.

”I advise you not to say such things in the future. For someone of your age, you should have more gratitude. Keep more kindness in your heart.”

Seeing the disdain in Yiyi’s eyes, Song Weili angrily retorted, ”Uncle and Auntie haven’t raised me at all, and as for Old Madam Song, she was the one who brought me here in the first place. Otherwise, I could have happily lived with my parents.”
