The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 436: Chapter 435: Friends at First Sight

Hearing Tao Cuizhu’s words, Yiyi nodded and said, ”Don’t worry, I’ve already talked to Mo Ping. He’ll keep an eye on Lei Xu’s matters, so you don’t have to worry anymore.”

Tao Cuizhu heard this, smiled, and nodded, saying, ”That’s good.”

After the afternoon classes ended, Yiyi said to Tao Cuizhu and the others, ”I’m going home to stay tonight, I’ll come back for classes tomorrow morning, so I won’t be having dinner with you all.”

Upon hearing this, they all smiled and waved at Yiyi, saying, ”You should hurry home.”

Yiyi smiled and waved goodbye to them, and finally arrived at the agreed-upon place, only to find that Wei Zhirong and Wen Tao were already there.

”Yiyi, you’re finally here. Let’s go eat first.”

Wei Zhirong happily stepped forward and grabbed Yiyi’s wrist, saying, ”I’ve already reserved a spot at a newly opened hotpot restaurant on the street. Let’s have hotpot today.”

Hearing this, Yiyi looked at Wei Zhirong with a bit of confusion, then looked at Wen Tao and asked, ”Aren’t you going to compete first?”

Wei Zhirong chuckled and looked at Wen Tao, saying, ”You need to be full to have energy for sparring, don’t you agree, Wen Tao?”

Wen Tao nodded and said, ”Yes, so let’s eat first.”

”Yiyi, let’s go, time for hotpot.”

Seeing Wei Zhirong so happy, Yiyi felt a bit surprised.

Then Wei Zhirong whispered secretly into Yiyi’s ear, ”Yiyi, it turns out Wen Tao doesn’t actually like Brother Xie, so suddenly I find her quite adorable too.”

”Huh... how do you know? Didn’t Wen Tao confess to Xie Yuanzhou before?”

Yiyi couldn’t help but ask upon hearing this.

Wei Zhirong, hearing this, smiled and said softly, ”That’s because Wen Tao and Brother Xie had a verbal engagement when they were kids. She thought they would naturally end up together, but she didn’t have any romantic feelings for Brother Xie at all. She just thought, getting married is just like that, doesn’t matter who you’re marrying, so she confessed to Brother Xie, wanting them to get married.”

”Did Wen Tao say that?”

Wei Zhirong nodded and said, ”Yes, we talked for a long while about Brother Xie’s matters before you arrived, and as we talked, I felt something was off.”

In the end, Wei Zhirong sneakily said, ”It was only then that I realized, when Wen Tao mentioned Brother Xie, she didn’t have that kind of ’really likes’ feeling. Even when Brother Xie rejected her later, she wasn’t really upset, just a bit unwilling. She even thinks Brother Xie is no different from her own brother, so she really has no feelings for him at all.” 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

Seeing Wei Zhirong so happy, Yiyi couldn’t help but laugh, ”That’s great, then you two can get along peacefully from now on.”

Though Wen Tao looks gentle and weak, she has a straightforward personality, which Yiyi thinks is quite nice.

At this time, Wen Tao came forward and asked, ”What were you two whispering about?”

Wei Zhirong quickly turned around and said to her, ”Nothing, just talking about our sparring later, saying I can definitely knock you to the ground.”

Hearing this, Wen Tao gave her a sidelong glance and said, ”Don’t talk big now, we don’t know what will happen then.”

Wei Zhirong, full of confidence, said, ”I will definitely do what I say and knock you to the ground.”

”Hmph... talk is cheap, practice is the real deal, we’ll see after we finish eating.”

The three quickly entered the hotpot restaurant Wei Zhirong had reserved, and after ordering, they started to eat heartily.

Yiyi hadn’t had hotpot in a long time, and today she found it quite tasty, very appetizing.

Both Wei Zhirong and Wen Tao looked quite slim, but they ate a lot, and the three girls ended up eating a whole table full of food.

”I’m so full.”

Wei Zhirong slouched in the chair without any grace, too lazy to move.

Wen Tao nodded in agreement, saying, ”This is the fullest I’ve been in a while, I really can’t eat anymore.”

Yiyi was also very full, sitting in the chair to rest for a while, then looked at Wei Zhirong and Wen Tao and asked, ”Are you still going to spar later?”

Speaking of this, Wei Zhirong immediately stood up and said, ”Of course, we have to spar.”

Wen Tao also nodded in agreement, ”Yes, we have to spar.”

Yiyi looked at them suspiciously and asked, ”Can you even move after eating so much?”

”Even if we can’t move now, we can rest and then spar.”

Wei Zhirong said with a smile.

Today she was determined to spar with Wen Tao to see who was better, otherwise she wouldn’t feel satisfied.

Wen Tao had the same idea, nodding and saying, ”Let’s rest first, let the food digest, then we can spar.”

The three sat in the restaurant for over half an hour, then finally headed to a martial arts gym that Wei Zhirong had found earlier.

”Alright, Wen Tao, let’s begin.”

After nodding at each other, they swiftly started sparring.

Wei Zhirong moved quickly and sharply, while Wen Tao was equally matched. For a while, they were evenly matched.

However, after a quarter of an hour, Wei Zhirong’s disadvantage became apparent, as her endurance wasn’t as good as Wen Tao’s.

Wen Tao naturally noticed this, so she seized the opportunity and delivered the final blow to Wei Zhirong.

”I admit defeat.”

Wei Zhirong wasn’t someone who couldn’t bear losing. Seeing that she couldn’t win against Wen Tao, she admitted defeat willingly.

Seeing this, Wen Tao smiled and withdrew her hand, ”Looks like you were the one who lost.”

Although Wei Zhirong was a bit unwilling, she still admitted defeat, ”Yes, I’m indeed no match for you. It seems I need to practice more in the future.”

”Sure, if you want someone to practice with in the future, you can ask me.”

Wen Tao found the sparring very satisfying, feeling like they’d found a worthy opponent. After all, the last time she sparred with Yiyi, she lost quickly, as the gap between her and Yiyi was quite large. But the gap between her and Wei Zhirong wasn’t that big, so it was evenly matched when they sparred.

Hearing this, Wei Zhirong immediately nodded and said, ”Alright, when I ask you to spar next time, don’t refuse.”

”I won’t.”

After saying this, the two exchanged smiles.

Seeing this, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile too.

After talking a bit more, the three waved goodbye to each other.

When Yiyi got home, Ding Yuejun was a bit surprised, ”Yiyi, why did you come home today? You didn’t say anything before.”

Yiyi explained the situation and finally said, ”I’ll go back to school tomorrow morning.”

Ding Yuejun smiled and said, ”That’s great, staying home is more comfortable anyway. I’ll make you a snack.”

Yiyi quickly waved her hand and said, ”Mom, don’t bother. We had quite a lot of hotpot tonight, I’m still a bit full.”
