The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 403: Chapter 402: Never Giving Up

Seeing Wei Zhirong coming over, Fei Erya immediately stopped talking, but Yiyi continued, ”We were talking about you.”

Hearing this, Fei Erya couldn’t help but tug at her arm.

Wei Zhirong looked at the two in confusion and asked, ”What’s up? If there’s something to say, just ask me. Aren’t we good friends? No need to hide anything.”

”Er Ya and I guessed that you like Xie Yuanzhou.”

Upon hearing this, Wei Zhirong’s face instantly turned bright red, and she was at a loss for words. Finally, she playfully glared at Yiyi and said, ”So that’s what you were talking about. I... I do like Xie Yuanzhou.” She was initially a bit embarrassed, but since Yiyi asked, she naturally wouldn’t hide it and admitted it openly.

Upon hearing Wei Zhirong’s words, Yiyi and Fei Erya weren’t too surprised since they had already guessed it before. ”It seems you really do like Xie Yuanzhou.”

”Did I make it that obvious?”

Seeing that Yiyi and Fei Erya had both guessed, Wei Zhirong was a bit anxious, ”Could Brother Xie have also realized that I like him? What... what should I do if he has?” As she spoke, she paced in circles nervously.

Seeing this, Fei Erya couldn’t help but say, ”Isn’t it better if Xie Yuanzhou knows? Then you can see what he thinks and consider what to do next.”

”What’s there to consider? Liking Brother Xie is my own business; I’ll keep liking him no matter what.”

Hearing this, both Yiyi and Fei Erya couldn’t help but frown, ”Zhirong, have you never thought about being with Xie Yuanzhou? Do you want to keep having an unrequited love?”

”I... I...”

When Xie Yuanzhou was mentioned, Wei Zhirong’s face was full of shyness, and she finally said softly, ”Of course, I would also like to be with Brother Xie, but... but how could someone like me match Brother Xie?”

Seeing Wei Zhirong belittle herself, Yiyi disagreed entirely and said, ”What’s wrong with you? I think you’re great. Look at you, not only are you beautiful, but you also have a nice personality. We all like you so much.”

Hearing this, Wei Zhirong was a bit embarrassed by the praise.

”Am I really that good? I didn’t know myself.”

Fei Erya added, ”You are that good, so don’t feel like you’re not worthy of anyone.”

Seeing even Fei Erya say this, Wei Zhirong felt happy all of a sudden, ”So, you all think I’m good, thank you so much.” But towards the end, she was still a bit apprehensive, ”Then... do you think Brother Xie would like someone like me?”

”Xie Yuanzhou probably doesn’t know you like him yet, so find a chance to ask him next time. If he likes you too, that would be best, but if...”

Yiyi didn’t finish her sentence, but Wei Zhirong understood what she meant, and she became a bit dejected, ”I think Brother Xie might not like me; otherwise, he wouldn’t have such a cold attitude.”

Seeing Wei Zhirong’s dispirited look, Fei Erya quickly said, ”Zhirong, don’t be down. Maybe Xie Yuanzhou likes you too.”

Hearing this, Wei Zhirong perked up again, ”Right, maybe he does like me. I’ll take this chance to confess my feelings to him.”

Seeing Wei Zhirong so full of energy, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile; this was the Wei Zhirong she knew, ”Since you’ve already decided, then find a chance to try. No matter the result, at least you tried.”

”Yeah, I think so too.”

After saying that, Wei Zhirong marched off confidently.

Fei Erya was a bit worried, ”Yiyi, what if Xie Yuanzhou rejects her? Won’t Zhirong be heartbroken?”

”Well, it’s better than being stuck like now.”

Hearing Yiyi’s words, Fei Erya also agreed, ”Let’s hope that Zhirong gets what she wishes for.”

On the other side, Wei Zhirong approached Xie Yuanzhou with full determination.

Xie Yuanzhou looked at her with slight confusion, ”Is there something you need?”

Originally, Wei Zhirong was full of confidence and momentum, but upon seeing Xie Yuanzhou and hearing him speak, she deflated like a punctured balloon and couldn’t say a word.

Seeing Wei Zhirong standing there blankly, Xie Yuanzhou asked again, ”Is something up? Are you planning to head back?”

Upon hearing this, Wei Zhirong finally snapped out of it and quickly waved her hand, ”No, no, I’m not going back.”

Xie Yuanzhou slightly furrowed his brow, not understanding why Wei Zhirong was looking for him.

Seeing that Xie Yuanzhou appeared a bit impatient, Wei Zhirong took a deep breath, mustered up her courage, and loudly said, ”Brother Xie, I like you.”

”What...”

Hearing Wei Zhirong’s words, Xie Yuanzhou was stunned, and after a long while, he finally reacted and frowned at Wei Zhirong, saying, ”You...”

When he saw Wei Zhirong’s expectant face, he couldn’t continue and only said, ”I currently don’t plan on finding someone.”

Upon hearing this, Wei Zhirong’s previously radiant smile immediately turned into disappointment, ”I... I understand, then... I’ll go take care of something first.”

But before Wei Zhirong could leave, Wei Zixiao suddenly rushed over.

”Xie Yuanzhou, you...”

Wei Zhirong didn’t expect her brother to suddenly appear, and seeing that he was about to hit someone, she quickly held him back, ”Brother, what are you doing?”

”I’m of course going to...”

Before Wei Zixiao could finish, Wei Zhirong quickly pulled him away.

When the siblings reached a secluded spot, Wei Zixiao shook off his sister’s hand and said, ”Why are you holding me back?”

At that moment, Wei Zhirong’s expression was already very grim, and the look of tears about to fall on her face was heart-wrenching.

Seeing his sister’s expression, Wei Zixiao swallowed his words and didn’t say anything else, looking at her with eyes full of concern, ”What’s so great about that Xie Yuanzhou anyway? When did you start liking him, and how come I never knew?”

Upon hearing this, tears began to fall from Wei Zhirong’s eyes.

”Hey... don’t cry, okay, okay, I won’t ask anymore.”

Wei Zixiao rarely saw his sister cry, so seeing Wei Zhirong in tears made him panic. However, he quickly became furious, ”I’ll go find that Xie Yuanzhou now.”

While crying, Wei Zhirong pulled at Wei Zixiao and stammered, ”No... You can’t go.”

”Okay, okay, I won’t go.”

Wei Zixiao couldn’t help but feel heartache seeing his sister like this.

Seeing that Wei Zixiao was truly not going to find Xie Yuanzhou, Wei Zhirong finally calmed down and said, ”Brother, this isn’t Xie’s fault. Even though I like him, it’s not like he’s required to like me back.”

”Zhirong, you’re so good, if he doesn’t like you, he’s blind.”

Wei Zixiao yelled in anger.

”What’s wrong, Zhirong?”

Hearing the commotion, Yiyi came over to check and saw that Wei Zhirong’s eyes were a bit red.

Seeing Yiyi, Wei Zhirong forced a smile that looked worse than crying, ”Yiyi, my confession failed. Brother Xie really doesn’t like me.”

Seeing Wei Zhirong like this, Yiyi also felt a bit of heartache, ”Zhirong, that’s just because Xie Yuanzhou has no taste. You’ll definitely meet someone better in the future.”

”But... I don’t want anyone better.”

Hearing this, Yiyi suddenly didn’t know what to say.

However, before Yiyi could think of something to say, Wei Zhirong had already wiped her tears and said with vigor, ”It’s okay, even if Brother Xie doesn’t like me now, he’s bound to like me in the future. I can’t give up.”
