The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 409: Chapter 408: Someone Not to Be Crossed

Xiao Song frowned upon hearing this, ”How could you be so careless.”

Under normal circumstances, it would be fine if the key was away for just half an hour; nothing major should happen. But now, with issues arising from the costumes, even half an hour would be something Ding Yuejun would latch onto.

However, before Ding Yuejun could speak, Huang Yanquan coldly said, ”Why didn’t you make it clear earlier?” He despised people who weren’t truthful, and Xiao Song’s crew left a rather poor impression on him.

Seeing this, Xiao Song immediately said, ”Mr. Huang, A Wei probably thought it was a trivial matter, so he didn’t mention it.”

By now, Ding Yuejun was already standing up, saying, ”Since the key has been lost for half an hour, let’s start investigating from there. Director Xiao, I hope you can find an answer.” After saying this, she was ready to leave. She had fulfilled her obligation by completing this batch of clothes on time and with quality, and now the crew was at fault, so it shouldn’t be her responsibility.

Liao Youcai also stood up and hurriedly said, ”Boss Ding, let me see you off.”

”No need.”

Ding Yuejun coldly refused, but Liao Youcai still followed her out.

Huang Yanquan looked at the back of the two and then got up to leave. By the time he reached the restaurant’s entrance, he saw Liao Youcai directly grabbing Ding Yuejun’s hand, trying to send her back.

Ding Yuejun forcefully tried to shake off Liao Youcai’s hand but couldn’t, feeling a surge of anger overwhelming her.

But soon, she sensed something was wrong. A wave of heat seemed to surge through her body, making her cheeks flush, and her heart filled with an impulse.

She wasn’t an inexperienced young girl; she immediately realized what was happening and gave Liao Youcai a cold look, asking, ”What did you do?”

Liao Youcai chuckled, ”Boss Ding, let me take you back. I heard you’re currently single. Coincidentally, so am I. I’ve fallen for you at first sight and wonder if you could give me a chance for us to get to ’know’ each other more.

”You...”

Ding Yuejun’s complexion grew uglier, and she couldn’t help but doubt today’s events.

”Boss Liao, your actions seem quite inappropriate.”

At this time, Huang Yanquan stepped forward and said coldly; he spoke slowly, with a not-so-perfect Mandarin, but his tone was firm and authoritative, making it impossible for others to ignore his strong attitude.

Liao Youcai glanced at Huang Yanquan, saying, ”Mr. Huang, the matters between me and Boss Ding shouldn’t concern you.”

Ding Yuejun glanced at Huang Yanquan with some surprise; she hadn’t expected this young Hong Kong businessman to step in and help her, so while she was still conscious, she expressed her gratitude to him, and finally shouted, ”Xiao Wu...”

As soon as Ding Yuejun’s voice fell, Pei Wu appeared with several others from the Yin sect, ”Aunt Ding.”

Ding Yuejun pointed at Liao Youcai and said, ”Tie him up and take him away, then take me to the hospital immediately.” After saying this, she leaned weakly against Pei Wu.

”Aunt Ding...”

Seeing Ding Yuejun like this, Pei Wu dared not delay, but he didn’t forget to take Liao Youcai along. Several others immediately stepped forward, tying up Liao Youcai in no time.

”Who are you people? I’m telling you, you’d better not mess around. If you provoke me, you won’t have a good end.” Liao Youcai truly hadn’t expected things to go so wrong. Forget about Huang Yanquan’s sudden interception; but these few young men here didn’t seem simple either.

Pei Wu ignored Liao Youcai, directly taking him away and accompanying Ding Yuejun to the hospital.

Huang Yanquan raised an eyebrow as he watched their figures disappear into the distance.

This Boss Ding Yuejun seemed quite formidable. Originally, he had seen Liao Youcai secretly drugging her and intended to play the hero, only to find out that his intervention was superfluous. She had secretly brought along many bodyguards who needed no assistance from him.

On the other side, after reaching the hospital, Ding Yuejun was treated, and her body finally calmed down.

Seeing Ding Yuejun’s complexion returning to normal, Pei Wu couldn’t help but ask, ”Aunt Ding, are you okay now?”

Seeing Pei Wu’s concerned look, Ding Yuejun smiled and said, ”Don’t worry, Xiao Wu, I’m fine now. Where’s that man?”

”We’ve got him under control. I’ll take you to him now.”

”Okay.”

Ding Yuejun nodded coldly. She wanted to see what motives Liao Youcai had. It was their first meeting today, yet he dared to drug her. This matter was anything but ordinary.

When Ding Yuejun saw Liao Youcai, she directly asked, ”Why did you drug me?”

Liao Youcai, seeing Ding Yuejun unharmed before him, showed no panic in his expression, ”Boss Ding, there must be some misunderstanding. I didn’t drug you. I only wanted to send you back because you seemed unwell. I didn’t expect you to have me tied up. Your actions aren’t right.”

He continued, ”Untie me immediately, or I’ll report you for wrongful imprisonment.”

Ding Yuejun ignored Liao Youcai and said to Pei Wu, ”Hit him until he behaves.”

Hearing Ding Yuejun’s command, Liao Youcai’s heart sank. He hadn’t anticipated that Ding Yuejun would be so resolute. While it’s true she was a successful businesswoman, did she not fear breaking the law?

Yet before Liao Youcai could ponder further, Pei Wu and his companions were already at his side, raining blows upon him.

Pei Wu and his team were well-trained, and after the incident where Ding Yuejun was kidnapped, they focused even more on martial arts, making their skills sharper. Dealing with someone like Liao Youcai was entirely manageable.

Before long, Liao Youcai could no longer speak from the pain, realizing how ruthless Ding Yuejun was, ordering beatings without hesitation, leaving him feeling as if his internal organs had shifted.

”Why did you drug me?”

Ding Yuejun asked coldly once more.

Liao Youcai remained defiant, staying silent.

Seeing the man’s stubbornness, Ding Yuejun raised an eyebrow and then looked at Pei Wu, saying, ”Xiao Wu, let’s head home. If this guy remains tight-lipped, hand him over to the old man. I’m sure he’ll regret his current obstinacy.”

”Yes, Aunt Ding.”

Pei Wu said, lifting Liao Youcai and heading straight back to the Ding Family.

Liao Youcai initially thought he would make Ding Yuejun pay for this and have her thrown into custody for assault.

But upon reaching the Ding Family, his expression finally turned panicked. Although he didn’t know exactly where this was, one glance was enough to realize it wasn’t a simple place. What kind of background did this woman have? Had he truly stirred up something best left alone?
