The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 440: Chapter 439: Delivery

Song Xiaoqing’s face was a bit pale, and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

At this point, even Ding Yuejun noticed something was wrong. She immediately stood up and said to Yiyi, ”Yiyi, quick, go and call someone, your godmother needs to go to the hospital immediately.”

But before Yiyi could speak, Ding Yuejun quickly reacted, ”No, you stay here with your godmother, I’ll go call someone.” Her daughter was studying medicine, and staying might be helpful, so Ding Yuejun didn’t hesitate and went to get help.

Yiyi hurried forward to check Song Xiaoqing’s pulse. Afterward, her expression turned grim. Looking at Song Xiaoqing like this, it seemed she was going into labor, but there were still over half a month until the due date.

Thinking of this, Yiyi dared not delay and quickly took out a small porcelain bottle to pour out the medicine pills, ”Godmother, please take this medicine first.”

Song Xiaoqing’s vision was already blurred from pain, but she trusted Yiyi deeply. Hearing her, she didn’t hesitate to swallow the medicine pills.

By this time, Ding Yuejun had already brought people over, and even Old Mrs. Song was hurrying over, ”Xiaoqing, what’s wrong?”

But at this moment, no one paid attention to Old Mrs. Song. Yiyi and Ding Yuejun carefully helped Song Xiaoqing and put her into the car, then a group of them headed straight to the hospital.

Old Mrs. Song wanted to follow, but was eventually persuaded, ”Madam, we should inform Mr. Song first and let him go to the hospital. You stay at home and wait for news; otherwise, others will have to look after you too.”

Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Song gave up the idea.

Meanwhile, after Yiyi and her mother brought Song Xiaoqing to the hospital, they watched as she was taken into the emergency room. Then the two sat outside anxiously waiting.

At this point, Song Chi also rushed over. Normally composed, he seemed utterly flustered, his face pale.

Seeing Song Chi like this, Ding Yuejun quickly stood up and said, ”Don’t worry, Xiaoqing will be fine.”

Seeing Ding Yuejun and Yiyi, Song Chi’s expression slightly eased, then he hurriedly asked, ”What happened, how did Xiaoqing suddenly have an episode?”

”The three of us were chatting and everything was fine, then suddenly her face turned pale and she was sweating considerably. We were also startled. Let’s wait and hear what the doctor says.”

Song Chi felt anxious after hearing this.

Yiyi also advised on the side, ”Godfather, don’t worry, godmother will be alright.”

Hearing Yiyi say this, Song Chi gradually calmed down.

They were able to finally get pregnant because of their goddaughter, so when she said Xiaoqing would be fine, it surely would be.

Thinking of this, Song Chi quietly sat down.

Soon, the emergency room door opened, and a doctor in a white coat came out, stating sternly, ”The patient is having an early labor and needs to deliver immediately.”

”What... she’s giving birth already? But isn’t it not yet the due date?” Song Chi stood up in panic, his mind blank, unsure of what to do.

Yiyi quickly stepped forward to ask, ”Doctor, with an early birth, will my godmother and the baby be okay?”

The doctor responded, ”I can’t guarantee with 100% certainty, so I hope you make a decision quickly. If a natural delivery isn’t possible, a C-section might be necessary, so be mentally prepared.”

Hearing this, Yiyi quickly pushed Song Chi and said, ”Godfather, quickly let the doctor proceed with the surgery.”

Song Chi hesitated with a conflicted look, nervously asking Yiyi, ”Will the surgery cause any issues?”

Seeing Song Chi like this, Ding Yuejun couldn’t stand it and said solemnly, ”Song Chi, all I know is if Xiaoqing doesn’t have the surgery now, she and the baby will be in danger.”

Upon hearing this, Song Chi finally came to realization and said to the doctor urgently, ”Yes, yes, Doctor, please go ahead and help deliver the baby.”

The doctor, hearing this, immediately returned to the emergency room.

By now, Song Chi had calmed down. Although his face showed composure, his heart was still tense, so he went to contact the doctor they had arranged earlier and invited Yiyi’s mentor, Kong Mingsheng, over.

By the time Kong Mingsheng arrived, the emergency room door was still closed, and Song Chi’s face had turned completely dark.

”Master, you’re here.”

Seeing Kong Mingsheng, Yiyi hurried to greet him.

Song Chi gathered himself and greeted Kong Mingsheng as well.

”What’s the situation now?”

Seeing Song Chi’s expression, Kong Mingsheng knew the situation wasn’t good, so he directly asked his apprentice instead.

Yiyi quickly explained the situation and eventually said, ”Before bringing godmother to the hospital, I checked her pulse and it was rather chaotic, so I immediately gave her Fetal Protection Pills. Her pulse gradually stabilized, but just now the doctor said the baby is coming early, so I’m not sure how godmother and the baby really are.”

Hearing his apprentice’s words, Kong Mingsheng nodded and said, ”You did well. I’ll have someone check in the emergency room later, so don’t worry.”

Just as the mentor and apprentice finished speaking, the emergency room door opened.

”Where are the relatives of the patient?”

Upon hearing this, Song Chi ran over, urgency in his expression, ”Doctor, how is my wife?”

”Congratulations, mother and child are safe, but the baby was indeed born early, so needs special observation for a while.”

Hearing the doctor’s words, Song Chi finally felt relieved and immediately asked, ”Doctor, what about my wife?”

”The patient needs to be observed for another two hours.”

While the doctor spoke, a nurse came out holding the baby.

Song Chi hurriedly went to look at the baby, but his heart was mainly worried about Song Xiaoqing and he kept asking about his wife’s condition.

Seeing Song Chi like this, Ding Yuejun quickly said, ”I’ll look after the baby here, you stay and keep waiting for Xiaoqing.”

”Thank you, then.”

Song Chi, upon hearing this, quickly nodded.

Yiyi and Ding Yuejun followed the nurse with the baby, while Song Chi and Kong Mingsheng stayed behind.

Once the nurse placed the baby in the special care ward, Yiyi and her mother curiously looked at the baby.

”Even though the baby was born early, he doesn’t seem smaller than other newborns, and he looks quite handsome.” Ding Yuejun looked at the baby with a tender expression, smiling brightly, ”You were only this small when you were born too.”

Hearing this, Yiyi leaned against her mother, ”Mom, you’ve worked hard.”

”You child, mom is not tired.”

Ding Yuejun was slightly taken aback by her daughter’s words, then smiled gently and replied.

Two hours later, Song Xiaoqing was also moved to the ward.
