Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Because of Lin Wanzhou, Yu Jiaming started speaking more cautiously. He wasn’t as casual as before.

Xu Yun couldn’t be bothered to explain.

’Sometimes it’s good to let people be a little intimidated,’ he thought. ’It keeps them from getting sloppy.’

By the time they left the cafe, the afternoon was pretty much over.

And as for Xiangjiang itself, they had explored it while eating their way through its delicacies, but it hadn’t offered any unexpected surprises.

Tourism seemed to be like that—running from a place you were sick of to a place other people were sick of.

It wasn’t about gaining anything specific; people just always want to see scenery they haven’t seen before.

Now that they’d basically seen the surface, the next step was to experience the culture on a deeper level.

First up was the beauty of Victoria Harbor.

Yu Jiaming said, ”The beauty of Victoria Harbor isn’t its night view. It’s becoming part of that view, the part that others envy.”

”What do you mean?”

”President Xu, do you see all those yachts docked by the shore?”

Yu Jiaming explained, ”Every night, some young masters from wealthy families take their boats out with a huge group of bikini-clad women and host all kinds of parties in Victoria Harbor.”

”So, one of *those* kinds of parties?”

The euphemism had popped into his head unbidden.

’After all, when a group of men and women go out like that, they can’t actually just be going to look at the scenery at sea, right?’

’Calling it a ”party” is just putting it nicely. It’s a total orgy!’

He asked, ”Why are you suddenly telling me this?”

Yu Jiaming asked tentatively, ”I was just wondering, President Xu, if you might be interested? Would you like to experience it for yourself?”

”You have a way in?”

”I don’t have that kind of pull, but the Rosewood Hotel where we’re staying does.”

Yu Jiaming said, ”As long as you’re willing, President Xu, I can try to talk to the hotel later. They should be able to figure out a way to get you a spot on one of the boats.”

”Alright, I get it. Go give it a try. Money is not an issue,” Xu Yun replied.

’I swear, I’m not going to some orgy,’ he thought. ’I’m just curious. I want to see how degenerate these rich kids are, to take it as a cautionary tale and prevent myself from becoming like them. That’s right. I’m going to cultivate my Dao heart!’

Lin Wanzhou said, ”If you can, try to get two spots.”

”What’s this, Old Lin?”

Hearing this, Xu Yun laughed in surprise. ”You hear there are a lot of beautiful women and suddenly you want to go too?”

”I’m not like you, so interested in women.”

Lin Wanzhou shot him a look and said, ”I’m just worried you’ll run into trouble on the boat. I want to stay by your side and be responsible for your safety.”

”No need. You’d just feel out of place there. You’re better off staying in the room and getting some rest.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”I can take care of myself.”

”You really don’t want me to go with you?”

”I don’t.”

”Alright then. If you go, be careful. Remember to call me the second anything happens.”

Yu Jiaming chimed in from the side, ”It’s fine, Brother Lin. President Xu will be in Victoria Harbor, not on a boat to the high seas. There’s no danger.”

After that, Lin Wanzhou returned to the hotel, and Yu Jiaming went to arrange for the spots.

Xu Yun thought about how he would be ’cultivating his Dao heart’ with a group of rich kids that night and figured he couldn’t look too shabby. He decided to pop down to the K11 Musea below the hotel to buy an outfit.

After all, he hadn’t brought any casual clothes to change into on this trip, just outdoor gear.

Because he could just buy them.

As one of Xiangjiang’s top shopping malls, K11 Musea was also one filled with art. Its environment and atmosphere were indeed much more interesting than other malls.

It wasn’t so rigid; it had a very comfortable vibe.

Plus, it had every luxury brand imaginable.

Xu Yun was past the stage of needing to buy tons of luxury goods to get a thrill. Now, he bought them more for the purpose of being seen in them on certain occasions.

To let people know your ”strength” without you having to say a word.

That was why, on this trip, he had worn his watch worth several million.

’When facing strangers, if you don’t speak, it will speak for you!’

The reason he had been able to brazenly approach the celebrity Zhang Jin today, interrupting his meal without being turned away, was probably that the other party could see he wasn’t just some ordinary star-chasing ”fan.”

Therefore, no one would needlessly offend a rich kid whose background they couldn’t gauge.

And it was precisely because of this that they were able to continue their conversation, and why Zhang Jin had agreed to ”consider it,” which was actually a polite way of refusing him.

If he had been an ordinary person, they probably would have been annoyed and told him to leave after his second sentence.

’Society, or rather the world, is just like that—the weak are prey for the strong! If you’re strong, if you’re capable, you earn the respect of others. Or at least, they won’t dare to offend you so easily.’

After looking around for a bit, Xu Yun ended up choosing the Louis Vuitton boutique, a brand he was more familiar with.

’What can I say? I’m a loyal guy.’

A beautiful sales associate approached and asked, ”Hello, sir. How may I help you?”

”Put together a summer outfit for me from your latest collection.”

Xu Yun added casually, ”Something that suits me.”

”Sir, do you have any specific requirements?”

The sales associate asked respectfully, ”For example, price, color, or anything else we should be aware of.”

”No, the only requirement is this.”

Xu Yun said, ”When I wear it out, I can’t be seen in the same outfit as someone else.”

”Sir, for that requirement, we’d have to show you our private collection.”
