Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Half an hour after the massive traffic accident, various rescue teams—highway patrol, paramedics, and firefighters—began arriving on the scene.

They then began professional emergency rescue operations and started clearing the road.

The paramedics who arrived were particularly surprised to see the professional bandaging and timely first aid that had already been administered to some of the injured.

Because of Xu Yun’s timely and effective emergency response, the time and difficulty of their initial rescue efforts were greatly reduced.

Once Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou saw that professionals had arrived to take over, they quietly withdrew and returned to their car.

They were all lucky to have survived the crash.

The only losses were Yan Can’s totaled car and Xino’s broken hand.

But compared to matters of life and death, these were minor issues.

However, their travel plans for the rest of the trip would certainly have to change.

Lin Wanzhou asked, ”What do we do now? Do we keep going, or just turn back and go home?”

”Let’s get to Guilin first, and then we’ll decide,”

Xu Yun said. ”Yan Can, you ride with Lin Wanzhou. The three of us will stick to one car.”

”Okay.”

After another two and a half hours on the highway, the group of five finally arrived in Guilin City.

Xu Yun first took Xino to the city hospital’s orthopedics department. He was only able to relax after a full-body checkup confirmed she had no other injuries.

Yan Can, who had come along, also got a full check-up.

Other than the gash on his forehead, he was completely unharmed.

He was incredibly lucky!

After they left the hospital, although Xino was reluctant, Xu Yun insisted that she fly back to Jiangcheng to recover, accompanied by Jian Shiwai.

It takes a hundred days to recover from a broken bone, after all.

Although Jian Shiwai wasn’t injured, she was badly shaken by the incident and needed to go home to recover.

They wouldn’t be joining the rest of the trip.

In the airport departure lounge, Xino looked at Xu Yun, her reluctance to leave clear in her eyes.

The trip she had been looking forward to so much was cut short just like that.

”Xu Yun, you have to be careful on the road. And don’t let any other women lead you astray.”

”Okay.”

”Xu Yun, once my hand is healed, can I fly out to meet you?”

”It’ll take at least a month for your hand to heal completely.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”In a month, I might already be back home.”

”Then you have to send me pictures all the time.”

Xino said, ”I want to see all the people you meet, the sights you see, and the things you do along the way.”

”Okay.”

”Xu Yun, I really don’t want to leave you.”

Xu Yun was speechless.

Hearing the final boarding call for her flight, Xino said, ”Before I go, can you kiss me?”

Xu Yun didn’t answer. Instead, he leaned down, gave her a light kiss on the lips, and said, ”Go home and focus on healing.”

”Mm, I will.”

Elated from the kiss, Xino said, ”You have to be careful on the road, too. Stay safe.”

”Manager Jian, I’ll have to trouble you to look after her during the trip.” Xu Yun had bought them first-class tickets.

”Don’t worry, President Xu. I’ll get Miss Xi home safely.”

After Xino and Jian Shiwai walked through the boarding gate, Xu Yun turned to Yan Can and asked, ”What are your plans?”

Yan Can answered, ”I need to stay here for a while to sort things out with the highway patrol and the insurance company about my car. I’ll leave after that.”

”Alright, then. Make sure you get some good rest once you’re back.”

Xu Yun said comfortingly, ”They say good fortune follows those who survive a great disaster. When I get back, I’ll help you make it big.”

”Okay, Brother Xu.”

Yan Can asked, ”So, what about the plans for tonight?”

”Let’s just cancel them. We’re going straight to the hotel.”

Xu Yun shook his head, declining. ”Just tell your friend we’ll see them next time.”

After everything that had happened, nobody was in the mood.

”Okay.”

And so, after seeing Xino and Jian Shiwai off at the airport and then saying goodbye to Yan Can, only Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou were left. They continued the drive to the hotel they had booked.

That evening, the TV news aired a report filed by a journalist from the scene of the accident.

After summarizing the casualties from the crash, the report showed interviews with several injured passengers, all of whom expressed their deep gratitude for the two young people who were the first to help.

One was directing efforts to rescue the injured from the wreckage, while the other was on the side of the road, administering first aid.

When the reporter asked one of the paramedics, he stated that the kind stranger who provided the initial treatment at the scene had used very professional and timely first-aid techniques.

He explained that thanks to this person, many of the injured had received excellent care, preventing their conditions from worsening. This had significantly lightened the paramedics’ initial workload and allowed them to transport the wounded much faster.

The paramedics suspected that the person might work in the medical field.

The reporter then announced that someone had recorded the scene on their phone, and the news program proceeded to play the footage.

The video showed Xu Yun carrying his own medical kit, moving between the injured to clean their wounds, stop the bleeding, and apply bandages.

He even successfully used CPR to resuscitate a child who had gone into shock, lost consciousness, and had no heartbeat.

As the footage played, bullet comments flooded the screen.

[This man is a true hero!]

[I’ll admit it, he’s hotter than me.]

[In that moment, he became a beacon of light.]

[Who says Gen Z is the ”lost generation”? Step up and say that again!]

[These are the world’s real heroes.]

[Why do I always cry when I see moving scenes like this?]

[A mortal man rivaling the gods. Even Death itself has to back down.]

In the final, fragmented shots, Xu Yun and his companion were seen quietly driving away in their car.
