Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Lounge privileges, cocktail hour—for guests staying in the presidential suite, these were just icing on the cake.

In reality, the value they provided wasn’t very high.

The complimentary cocktails offered by the hotel were nowhere near enough to satisfy Xu Yun and Old Lin.

They didn’t like them anyway.

Especially Lin Wanzhou, who felt it wasn’t a satisfying drink at all, leaving his mouth feeling terribly bland.

He said, if we’re going to drink, let’s really drink!

’You tested me with a woman earlier, so this time I’m going to drink you under the table!’

’When it came to drinking, he had never been afraid of anyone!’

So, after arriving at the lounge, he asked directly, ”Do you have any Feitian Maotai over 50 percent alcohol?”

”We don’t, sir.”

The female bartender said awkwardly, ”We only have hand-mixed cocktails here, along with spirits like whiskey, vodka, and brandy.”

”Fine, brandy it is then.”

Lin Wanzhou said nonchalantly, ”Start us off with a bottle each, to rinse our mouths.”

”...”

The female bartender kindly reminded him, ”Are you sure you want a bottle each? Usually, two or three glasses is enough for most customers.”

”I’m fine.”

Lin Wanzhou looked at Xu Yun provocatively and said with a deliberate smile, ”You should ask this handsome guy here if *he* can handle it.”

”A man can never say he can’t!”

Xu Yun could tell Old Lin was trying to get him drunk, but he didn’t back down at all. He smiled and said, ”It’s fine, miss. Just do as he says. Start us off with a bottle each. If that’s not enough, we’ll open something else.”

”Certainly, sir.”

The female bartender took a new bottle of brandy from behind her, opened it, and poured a glass for each of them.

’Anyway, I warned them. Whether they listen is their own business.’

’Men... so concerned with saving face.’

’This stuff has a serious kick. Most people can probably down the first few glasses, but they won’t be able to handle it when the full effect hits later.’

’Sigh, looks like there’ll be two more drunks at my bar tonight.’

’But the young man on the right is so handsome!’

’If he gets drunk, I’d be more than happy to take care of him and see him back to his room.’

After adding a few ice cubes to their glasses, the female bartender handed them over.

”Enjoy, gentlemen.”

Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou took the glasses, clinked them together, and downed them in one gulp.

”How’s the taste?”

Xu Yun asked with a smile, ”If you don’t think it’s smooth enough, we can switch to something else.”

”It’s alright.”

Lin Wanzhou commented, ”It’s not that strong, but at least it’s not fake. It’s got some body.”

”...” the female bartender thought.

’As if we could sell fake liquor here. Would we dare sell you fakes?’

”Miss, could you top us up, please?”

”Of course, sir.”

And just like that, without doing anything else, they went back and forth, one gulp after another. Under the bartender’s watchful eyes, they nearly finished the entire bottle of brandy each.

Seeing that Xu Yun’s heart wasn’t racing and his face wasn’t flushed, Lin Wanzhou said in surprise, ”I didn’t expect you to be such a good drinker.”

”Just so-so.”

Xu Yun said humbly, ”I should be able to keep you company until you’ve had your fill.”

”Alright, let’s see just how much you can really drink.”

Lin Wanzhou said heartily to the female bartender, ”Could you bring us a bottle of whiskey each, please? Thanks.”

”...” thought the female bartender.

And so, before her incredulous eyes, CLINK, CLINK, CLINK, the two of them quickly polished that off too.

”...” thought the female bartender.

’Wait, are you guys drinking liquor like it’s water?’

’Those were two whole bottles of hard liquor!’

Beside him, Lin Wanzhou, seeing that Xu Yun still showed no signs of being drunk, was finally getting a little shocked.

”Be honest with me, how much can you drink?”

”I honestly don’t know.”

Xu Yun said with a laugh, ”But I feel like I’m just one drink away from being drunk.”

”For real?”

”For real.”

Lin Wanzhou turned his head and said, ”Miss, another bottle. Vodka this time.”

’Mixing three different kinds of liquor... I refuse to believe I can’t get you drunk!’

A few more glasses went down the hatch for both of them.

Lin Wanzhou was starting to feel it, but the other guy was still steady as a rock.

’Every time he says he’s one drink away from being drunk, but here we are, almost finished with another bottle, and he’s still not drunk!’

’I can’t keep chugging like this. Otherwise, Xu Yun might not get drunk, but I’ll be the first one to go down.’

”Damn, you’re a real dark horse.”

Lin Wanzhou said with resignation, ”Alright, forget it. I’m not competing with you anymore. Let’s just drink at our own pace. I don’t want to lose to you and embarrass myself.”

”Sure, whatever you say.”

Xu Yun couldn’t help but smile to himself.

’Trying to get me drunk?’

’I’m blessed with the ”Thousand Cups Unintoxicated” Skill from the system. Down here in the south, it’s really hard for the average person to out-drink me.’

However, he wasn’t as calm as he appeared on the surface.

In truth, after downing more than two bottles of mixed liquor, he was feeling it a bit.

It just wasn’t a very strong feeling, and he could definitely keep going.

Meanwhile, the female bartender behind the bar was already completely shocked by their drinking capacity.

’These two can really drink.’

After slowing down their competition, Xu Yun took a small sip of his drink and said to Lin Wanzhou, ”So you’ve really never been to Xiangjiang?”

”Why would I go there for no reason?”

Lin Wanzhou replied, ”I’ve always worked along the border as a tour guide, doing routes like the Yunnan-Tibet Line and other border routes.”

”So when we go to Hong Kong, we’ll be completely in the dark?”

Xu Yun said, ”I feel like without a local to show us around, it’s hard to experience the inner charm of Xiangjiang. It’ll just be a superficial tour.”

”Don’t worry. When we get there tomorrow, you can just spend some money to hire a private guide from a travel agency.”

Lin Wanzhou shrugged. ”You’ve got money to burn anyway, tipping a hundred thousand at a time. You think you’ll have trouble finding someone?”

”I guess that’s the only way for now.”

Xu Yun nodded. ”Alright, we’ll figure it out when we get there tomorrow.”
