Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”This is the 100 Building.”

”This is Yantian Port.”

”This is Hong Kong Island.”

Once they were over Hong Kong proper, Yu Jiaming pointed to a bay below and said, ”This is the famous Victoria Harbor. Next to it is the International Convention and Exhibition Center, and over there is the Central Business District.”

Xu Yun listened to Yu Jiaming, looking down at the famed Pearl of the East. ’This feeling of having an unobstructed view, taking it all in... It’s amazing!’

Still, Hong Kong didn’t look all that big—not even as large as some cities on the Mainland.

But he had to admit, the economy it generated was on a level that many major cities on the Mainland couldn’t match.

Finally, the helicopter landed at the International Airport, completing the short 15-minute flight.

Xu Yun completed the payment.

The System’s reward followed.

[For embracing a high-end mode of travel, choosing to fly on a whim—just as you please—and experiencing the daily life of the elite, you are rewarded with 15,000,000 in cash.]

[Bank Account Balance: 84,500,000]

He hadn’t received a large cash reward from the System in a long time. He’d been spending all his money on Skills and was actually starting to miss this feeling.

After all, whether he was staying in a presidential suite, eating a gourmet meal, or buying other common luxury goods, none of it gave him much of a thrill anymore, which meant no rewards.

He’d figured out the System’s cash reward mechanism a while ago.

The System only gave out big rewards when he did things he genuinely wanted to do—things he enjoyed and that caused a significant emotional response.

’I hope my net worth breaks a hundred million again by the time I leave Hong Kong!’

When they came out of the airport, the Rosewood Hotel, where they had reservations, had already arranged for airport pickup. A brand-new Audi A8L was waiting for them outside.

Yu Jiaming took the passenger seat, while Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou sat in the back.

Xu Yun hadn’t ridden in many executive sedans like this. Aside from his own Bentley Flying Spur and a BMW 7 Series once or twice, he’d mostly been in MPVs.

Overall, it was a very nice ride.

No wonder it was chosen as the official car for some high-level national leaders; there was a good reason for it.

He couldn’t put his finger on what exactly made it so good, but he felt a certain sense of prestige, as if he’d taken on the air of a high-ranking official himself.

The Rosewood Hotel was one of the more well-known luxury hotels in Hong Kong.

It was located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, right across from Victoria Harbor, so guests could enjoy a direct view of the harbor’s nightscape from their rooms.

The ground floor was the K11 shopping mall.

Of course, it wasn’t cheap.

To put it in perspective, even the cheapest rooms started at over 6,000 yuan a night!

Xu Yun’s group had booked two Grand Pavilion Suites and one Deluxe Harbor View Room, priced at 30,000 and over 10,000 USD per night, respectively.

Converted to yuan, that was well over a hundred thousand for a single night—and these weren’t even the best rooms in the hotel.

Back on the Mainland, many presidential suites weren’t even this expensive.

’Goes to show, Hong Kong is really in a league of its own,’ he mused. ’The place is just overflowing with wealthy people!’

Xu Yun took out his card and prepaid a total of 1,000,000 yuan, completing the check-in process without a hitch.

Yu Jiaming’s room wasn’t on the same floor as Xu Yun and Lin Wanzhou’s. It also differed in size, amenities, and the quality of its view.

In comparison, his room was a slight step down in luxury and didn’t include a private butler or the Grand Pavilion’s premier services.

But even so, he was extremely satisfied and grateful to Xu Yun.

Without Xu Yun, he never would have had the chance to stay in a harbor view room like this.

Because he couldn’t afford it, and because he couldn’t bear to spend the money!

The three of them parted ways for the time being. A private butler led Xu Yun to his 174-square-meter harbor view suite.

’The decor, the view... they’re truly impeccable.’

’You really do get what you pay for!’

After the private butler finished explaining the available services and departed, Xu Yun stood alone before the floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing out at Victoria Harbor. A line he’d once read in a book came to mind.

”Everyone should come to Hong Kong at least once in their life to feel the evening breeze over Victoria Harbor.”
