This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

The two of them got up and left the office. Under Liao Quansheng’s guidance, they started walking towards the warehouse.

”Du, your brother-in-law looks so fair-skinned. At first, I thought he wouldn’t be able to handle the job, but he turns out to be quite diligent. He works hard, is serious, and is willing to learn. In just a week, he can already work independently. That’s pretty impressive.”

”He’s just starting out, still learning. As long as he doesn’t cause you any trouble, that’s good enough.”

”Come on, don’t talk like that when it comes to your own family. Besides, I’m really impressed with his attitude towards learning and work. After he trains in the warehouse for a while and memorizes the characteristics of all the medicine ingredients, I’m planning to bring him to work with me.”

Hearing Liao Quansheng say this, Du Heng felt very happy, as if his face was glowing. However, he still spoke humbly, ”The young man has just left home. You can take care of him, but you don’t need to give him any special treatment on my account.”

Liao Quansheng looked at Du Heng disdainfully. ”Your ’face’? What sway do you think you have? I want to bring him to my side because I value his diligence and hard work. That has nothing to do with you. You’re really flattering yourself.”

Teased by his old classmate like this, Du Heng could only laugh awkwardly.

Unexpectedly, Liao Quansheng continued, ”Moreover, your brother-in-law is really handsome – fair-skinned, yet not effeminate – and there’s an air of stubbornness about him. It would be a waste for someone like him not to be in sales! Put him in front of any woman, and he’ll win her over in minutes.”

This frightened Du Heng, who quickly said, ”Liao, I sent this kid to work with you. Don’t you go and lead him astray.”

”Ignorant, just too ignorant.” Liao Quansheng looked at Du Heng and shook his head. ”People are visual creatures. They all feel happy when they see beautiful things, regardless of their gender. Besides, research has found that women’s pursuit of beauty far exceeds that of men.”

Du Heng looked at Liao Quansheng speechlessly.

Among the people he knew, only Wei Kaida and Liao Quansheng could discuss their penchant for attractive women with such refined detachment. However, Wei Kaida’s level was obviously not as high as Liao Quansheng’s; his talk always had a vulgar undertone.

Liao Quansheng paused slightly. ”Think about it,” he continued. ”Our business clients are all management personnel of certain departments or companies. Some of them are female, and over thirty. Do you know who they usually deal with?”

Liao Quansheng stared intently at Du Heng, hoping for an answer, but Du Heng just shook his head, clueless.

”Men,” Liao Quansheng declared. ”Potbellied, middle-aged men. They’re greasy, bald, and sport big paunches. Do you think that in the eyes of these successful women, such men could represent beauty?”

He suddenly became animated, waving his hand as he went on, ”No, never! They would only feel disgusted and uncomfortable. But that’s how society is. Apart from a very few who can become leaders in their twenties, everyone else has to go through the crucible of years to climb to management.

”And women who have been through this crucible? Their standards are raised; they no longer look twice at ordinary men. As for the men who’ve been through it, they’re either greasy or excessively humble. The rare few who are decent and slip through the net are already spoken for.

”But your brother-in-law is different. He’s handsome, and on top of that, not effeminate. And that hint of stubbornness in his very bones is utterly captivating!”

Du Heng took two deep breaths. Seeing that Liao Quansheng still wanted to speak, he quickly interrupted him, ”Liao, my brother-in-law is a good boy. Can you please restrain yourself? Don’t really lead him astray. My in-laws are counting on this kid for their old age.”

”The way you talk! I have my principles too.”

Your principles are probably pretty low!

Du Heng looked at Liao Quansheng but didn’t say anything.

Just then, they arrived at the warehouse entrance. As soon as they entered, they saw Zhao Xinfang bending over, moving boxes.

Du Heng was about to call out, his mouth already open, when he involuntarily swallowed his words.

A young girl had appeared next to Zhao Xinfang.

She was holding a clipboard, looking at the box in Zhao Xinfang’s hands, then turning back to write something on the clipboard.

But this wasn’t why Du Heng couldn’t speak.

The main reason was the girl’s position and the way she leaned in to check the box; it was a bit too intimate.

Especially when looking at the items in the box, her head was nearly buried in Zhao Xinfang’s chest. She did this quite frequently too, as if the box’s label was covered with tiny, hard-to-read print, requiring multiple glances.

Whenever the girl lowered her head to write, the two men at the door could clearly see her smiling, and her smile was very sweet. But when she looked up and forward again, her expression would become serious.

Such intimate actions made Zhao Xinfang a little stiff. Although he was just standing there holding the box, his upper body was still slightly tilted away.

Moreover, the girl took quite a long time with her recording, and Zhao Xinfang’s arms, holding the box, began to tremble slightly.

Are young girls nowadays so forward?

Du Heng turned to look at Liao Quansheng, asking with slight surprise, ”Liao, what’s going on here?”

Liao Quansheng also looked a little embarrassed, his face reddening slightly as he said, ”See? I told you your brother-in-law has a talent for sales.”

What the hell does this have to do with sales?

But before Du Heng could speak, Liao Quansheng shouted loudly, ”Zhao Xinfang, put that down and come over!”

The shout not only caught Zhao Xinfang’s attention but also made the girl beside him jump. She glanced at Liao Quansheng, then quickly scurried away, clipboard in hand.

Zhao Xinfang breathed a sigh of relief, placed the box he was holding onto a platform cart, then patted the dust off his clothes and walked over. ”Mr. Liao, Brother-in-law.”

Du Heng looked Zhao Xinfang up and down. A week had passed, and he looked a bit darker and rougher than before.

”How have things been these past few days?”

”Pretty good, Brother-in-law. Mr. Liao takes great care of me, and Brother Zhang, who’s mentoring me, is also very good. He’s willing to teach me everything.”

At this point, Liao Quansheng was also sizing up Zhao Xinfang. ”Don’t call me Mr. Liao anymore. Just call me Brother.”

Zhao Xinfang didn’t dare, just lowered his head and chuckled.

Seeing Zhao Xinfang in good spirits, Du Heng’s curiosity got the better of him, and he casually asked, ”Xiao Fang, what was that girl doing just now?”

Hearing this, Zhao Xinfang grew a bit embarrassed and mumbled, ”She’s our warehouse’s bookkeeper.”

”The bookkeeper, huh?” Du Heng raised an eyebrow. ”What was she recording from you for?”

”Uh... Brother Liu from the dispatch team was a bit busy, so she came over to help with the recording.”

Du Heng let out a knowing ”Ahhh, so that’s how it is.” That single sound not only made Zhao Xinfang blush crimson but also made Liao Quansheng, standing nearby, look rather awkward.

Du Heng couldn’t quite understand Liao Quansheng. What was there to be embarrassed about? He glanced at him before asking Zhao Xinfang again, ”What’s that girl’s name?”

Zhao Xinfang didn’t answer immediately but glanced at Liao Quansheng instead.

”I’m asking you. Just answer. Why are you looking at him?”

Zhao Xinfang still didn’t speak, looking uneasily at Liao Quansheng.

Having no choice, Du Heng could only turn his gaze to Liao Quansheng. ”Liao, what’s going on? Are the factory rules really that strict?”

Liao Quansheng cleared his throat. ”Hmm... That girl’s name is Liao Yuzhu.”

Du Heng was taken aback, then suddenly exclaimed, ”Damn! Isn’t that your sister’s name? Is that girl your sister?”
