The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 360: Chapter 360: It’s Boring to Beat the Mistress, Not Doing It

Song Ci asked three questions in a row, leaving Madam Lu utterly stunned and bewildered.

”I am not afraid to tell you the truth. After receiving the letter from the third son, my heart was displeased, and upon reading its contents, I was even more upset,” Song Ci said coldly.

More than upset, she cursed a hundred expletives in her heart.

Upon hearing this, Madam Lu was so frightened that she rolled off the bed without a second thought and knelt before Song Ci with a thud.

”Mother, it is us as juniors who are unfilial and have troubled you.”

Madam Lu felt deeply frustrated and desolate. It was clearly the fault of her wretched husband, who was there holding a delicate new bride, waiting for their child to be born, while she was here cleaning up his mess and appeasing her mother-in-law.

Ha, who exactly was supposed to be appeasing whom!

Song Zhiqing, how ruthless his heart is.

Seeing her kneeling before her, Song Ci felt a headache coming on. She rubbed her temples and glanced at Nanny Gong.

Nanny Gong understood immediately and stepped forward to help Madam Lu up, saying, ”Third Madam, the Grand Madam came to see you, not to blame you. Your sudden kneeling to ask for forgiveness might be misunderstood by those below, making the Grand Madam’s visit in vain.”

Madam Lu meekly looked at Song Ci: ”Mother...”

”I do not wish to say much about the matter between you and the third son, nor do I wish to meddle. You are not children who need my guidance or reconciliation. Issues between a couple are your matters. As a mother-in-law, I do not want to interfere,” Song Ci paused, then continued, ”Just like back then, when he knelt before me saying he would marry no one but you and even pleaded with the old master, I did not interfere.”

Madam Lu turned pale.

”I came not because of what the third son asked, but to advise you not to do anything foolish. Madam Lu, you are actually quite smart and know what you want. Others’ advice is irrelevant to you. If you want to pull through, you surely can,” Song Ci said mildly, ”I am here solely for the sake of Zhou’er and Wei’er.”

Madam Lu’s expression changed, not daring to respond.

”I told you before, adults’ matters must not burden the children with worry. I clearly tell you, regarding the third son’s side, things have come to this, it is a foregone conclusion. Whether you are sad or desperate, it changes nothing.”

”Mother, can’t you...” Madam Lu bit her lip and stopped, filled with cold despair.

Indeed, back then she didn’t want to marry Song Zhiqing, so why would she help her now? As for concubine daughters and grandsons, aren’t they all members of the Song Family?

Madam Lu felt a metallic taste in her throat followed by a bitterness as if she had eaten countless coptis.

”Are you wanting me to get rid of that mistress with the surname Bai?” Song Ci gave her a sideways glance.

Madam Lu: ”...”

Nanny Gong and Mama Zhou: ”...”

’Get rid of’, this phrase was truly beyond words.

”Ha, your mother-in-law is not foolish. Why would I take on the role of the villain for you? Even if the third son takes ten or eight concubines, I will not interfere,” Song Ci narrowed her eyes and said, ”However, if he truly does that, bringing one woman after another into the family, then I will do only one thing.”

Madam Lu was startled, instinctively feeling that her next words would not be pleasant.

”That is to directly separate you to live independently.”

Indeed, Madam Lu was shocked and turned pale: ”Mother!”

”I like peace and quiet, I hope he will not disappoint me,” Song Ci said expressionlessly, ”Madam Lu, I will not help you fight the mistress. That’s boring. But one thing you can rest assured of, I personally do not favor any concubine’s children. Similarly, that Miss Bai, regardless of whether her child belongs to the Song Family, will not receive the same treatment. I, Song Ci, only value legitimate sons and grandsons.”

Every word was powerful and resounded clearly.
