The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 200: Chapter 200 Song Si Lang: Am I shameless?

Song Zhiyu felt that he had been taken advantage of, as if he had been flirted with.

But looking closely at Lady Nightfork’s expression, it didn’t seem like it. Could he be overthinking it?

Niu Pan’er watched his frown and puzzled look, her lips curled slightly. Young Master Song, quite interesting.

Song Ci noticed the convoy had stopped and sent Hongtao to inquire what had happened.

Since the other party was an elder, Niu Pan’er walked over to the carriage to apologize to Song Ci.

Song Ci didn’t expect to run into the legendary female general on the road, he brightened up and said, ”You are the only female general of this dynasty! Oh my, truly young and promising. Indeed, a woman who does not let men overshadow her. Well done.”

Song Ci admired all soldiers, regardless of gender, considering them the most lovable and respectable people in the world.

Niu Pan’er didn’t expect the Prime Minister’s Mansion’s old madam to be so lively, and immediately felt good about her, saying, ”Old Madam, it’s a hot day. I know there’s a tea stall not far ahead, may I invite you for some cool tea and a rest?”

”Good, good, I’ve been tired from sitting in the carriage for too long.” Song Ci also liked this young woman with a pure and dignified look, especially her iron-and-blood aura, full of heroic spirit like no other.

Since the two masters wanted tea, someone went ahead to clear the way and inform the tea stall, so by the time Song Ci and the others arrived, the tea was already prepared.

Whether it was Song Ci or Niu Pan’er, they were both important people. The tea stall owners, just two elderly people with a little granddaughter running the place, saw them coming and kneeled fearfully.

”Don’t kneel, you’re too old for that. There’s no need to kneel; we’re the ones interrupting your business.” Song Ci, upon seeing the tea stall, realized it had been cleared out, feeling a bit guilty.

She also understood that this was the way of the powerful, and the guards feared that too many random people might cause trouble, so she said nothing more, just promised to pay enough for the private use of the stall.

Niu Pan’er’s eyes flickered, and with a smile, she invited Song Ci to sit, then stepped down boldly in a manly manner.

Song Ci looked at her, with her hair in a high ponytail fastened with a jade clasp, no extra jewelry. Though her ears were pierced, she wore only one exquisite earring. She was dressed in riding clothes, a dagger and whip made of some kind of animal tendon on her belt and next to her on the bench.

Niu Pan’er saw her scrutinizing, and couldn’t help but smile, ”I’ve been dressed like a man since I was little and don’t like wearing women’s clothes. This rough attire must amuse the old madam.”

Song Ci shook her head, ”Not at all, your attire is very spirited and handsome, I think it’s quite nice.”

In modern times, Niu Pan’er’s look would be a tomboy style; in a suit with her aura, she’d probably captivate many fans, male and female alike.

Niu Pan’er was a bit surprised seeing her so sincere, and said, ”Old Madam doesn’t find me vulgar? A proper girl, not staying in her room doing embroidery or painting, maintaining jade-like skin, but instead mingling with men, shouting and fighting, not like a girl should.”

”Nonsense!”

Song Ci spat and said, ”Who says girls can only do embroidery and painting? That’s something most people can do, but how many women can do what you’ve done? Forget women, even men can’t achieve it. Without going too far, just look at my son. Do you think he can do what you’ve done? He’s got his white and tender skin but can’t even kill a chick. How does that compare to a general defending our country like you? I hold no regard for him.”

From the next table, Song Zhiyu, who heard everything clearly, spat out his tea. Good heavens, is there a mother who throws shade at her own son like this? Isn’t this embarrassing?
