The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 197: Chapter 197 Empress Dowager Wang: I am both saddened and touched!

I don’t know if she actually took Lu Shi’s words to heart, but when Song Ruwei saw Wan Yicheng again the next day, she felt a bit uneasy.

Wan Yicheng, on the other hand, was quite friendly towards her, after all, they were both young, and Song Ruwei had a gentle temperament.

”Sister, why are you staring at Acheng like that? We’re boys, but we’re still men, aren’t you embarrassed?” Song Lingzhou said with disdain, as he licked a sesame candy, looking at his sister.

Song Ruwei blushed, gave him a glare, and said, ”I think you’ve forgotten what Grandmother said. It’s not long after breakfast, and you’re already eating sesame candy. I’ll tell Grandmother that you’re sneaking candy, and you even give Acheng some, be careful of ruining your teeth.”

Song Lingzhou hurriedly said, ”Grandmother said children should know how to share. If I have something good, I must share it with my friends. Acheng is my friend. Go ahead and tattle if you want, hmph, girls are like that, always tattling. Acheng, let’s go.”

He dragged Wan Yicheng off towards the clan school, saying, ”The books say women and petty people are hard to raise, indeed it’s true.”

Song Ruwei was infuriated.

Wan Yicheng tugged at Song Lingzhou, smiled, and said to Song Ruwei, ”Sister Wei, don’t blame Lingzhou, it was me who wanted to eat it.”

Song Ruwei was taken aback, and bashfully made a sound of acknowledgment.

Watching the two boys walk away, Song Ruwei patted her warm cheeks, shook her head, and thought she was really affected by her mother’s words.

...

Wan Yicheng stayed at the Prime Minister’s Mansion for two days before returning to Cining Palace.

Empress Dowager Wang watched him kneel on the ground and kowtow, beckoned him forward, and asked, ”How was your stay at the Prime Minister Song’s mansion?”

Actually, she didn’t need him to say it, as someone had already reported to her, but she just wanted to hear what the child would say.

Wan Yicheng replied with a smile, ”Replying to the Empress Dowager, Grand Aunt’s words, the great-grandson had a delightful time at the Prime Minister’s Mansion, everyone there was very kind and amusing to the great-grandson.”

Empress Dowager, Grand Aunt, great-grandson.

Empress Dowager Wang felt a bit sour and said, ”How come I hear that you call Madam Song, Granny Song, and even use ’I’ with her, but when you come to the Empress Dowager, you call me Grand Aunt with adding those words of Empress Dowager, and call yourself great-grandson, how so distant.”

Wan Yicheng was a little confused.

Lian Xin watching from the side was a little anxious, wanted to step in and give a hint, but saw Lian Qiao beside the Empress Dowager shake her head, so she stayed still.

Fortunately, Wan Yicheng wasn’t dull, cautiously called out, ”Grand Aunt?”

”Mm. Call me that from now on.” It sounds more intimate.

Wan Yicheng smiled, revealing two small white teeth. He saw the Empress Dowager rubbing her leg, thought for a moment, then walked over, knelt at her side, and stretched out his small hands to massage her leg.

Empress Dowager Wang was very surprised, ”You child?”

”Cheng’er will give you a massage.” Wan Yicheng said, ”Thank you, Grand Aunt, for letting me stay at the Prime Minister’s Mansion as a guest, Cheng’er likes it very much there.”

Empress Dowager Wang asked, ”Do you like the palace or the Prime Minister’s Mansion better?”

Wan Yicheng paused and said, ”I like both, but prefer the Prime Minister’s Mansion because there are several big brothers to play and talk with.”

”Would you be willing to stay at the Prime Minister’s Mansion forever?”

Wan Yicheng shook his head without thinking, ”Cheng’er wouldn’t be willing, Cheng’er wants to be with Grand Aunt.”

Empress Dowager Wang was taken aback.

”Granny Song said that Grand Aunt lives here, and cannot go out to play, it’s lonely and pitiful. Cheng’er wants to accompany you more, and in the future, when I go out of the palace and see something interesting, I’ll come back and tell you, so it would be like you’ve been out for a stroll!”

Empress Dowager Wang said nothing, watching him kneading her leg until he was a bit out of breath, her eyes slightly reddened.

I’m touched!
