Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Xia Qingqian would never act like the young master’s previous women, commanding them with the demeanor of a hostess, nor would she speak harshly or shout loudly! Although Xia Qingqian does not come from a prestigious noble family, her demeanor is even more noble and graceful than those socialites!

She is devoted to the young master and treats the servants like family, never greedy or arrogant due to the young master’s indulgence.

Even though Xia Qingqian occasionally acts capricious and unreasonable, she is absolutely kind and sincere!

How could one not feel sympathy and pity for such a woman?

They, who serve them, can also see that the young master treats Xia Qingqian differently. From the way the young master treats other women and Xia Qingqian, and from the look in his eyes, one can see that the young master is enamored with Xia Qingqian and surely holds her in high regard in his heart.

Sister Huan is a servant by Beitang Yao’s mother’s side and has watched the young master grow up, seeing many women around him. But the young master only shows them temporary affection, never investing as much as he does with Xia Qingqian.

The way the young master looks at Xia Qingqian carries a hint of indulgence along with possessiveness, just like a man gazing upon a woman.

When Sister Huan brought up the pig trotter ginger soup and saw Xia Qingqian getting out of bed, she quickly put down the tray and supported her, ”Miss Qing Qian, don’t move around, lie down and rest well. Sister Huan has made pig trotter ginger for you.”

”Sister Huan, I’m fine, I want to get out of bed and walk a little.” Every time she closed her eyes while lying in bed, she would see small children smiling at her, and whenever she approached, they would vanish, leaving only cries behind.

”If the young master sees you like this, he will surely be pained. Listen to Sister Huan and lie down, once you’re well, you can get out of bed and walk, okay?” Sister Huan took a soft pillow and placed it behind her, helping her sit up in bed.

Xia Qingqian obediently took the bowl from Sister Huan’s hand and softly said, ”Sister Huan, I can do it myself, thank you.”

Sister Huan saw her insistent on eating by herself and did not force her, standing by to serve, she offered comforting words, ”Miss Qing Qian, you’re still young, matters regarding children can take time. Right now, focus on your health and then give the young master a healthy, chubby child. My daughter-in-law also had a miscarriage before and after a period of recovery, she gave me four grandsons! You don’t have to worry about this, with Sister Huan here, everything will be alright!”

”Is that true?” Xia Qingqian heard this and tears welled up in her eyes, her eating halted!

”It’s true!” Sister Huan nodded earnestly, ”How could heaven bear to let such a good girl endure such suffering? Listen to Sister Huan, eat well, and rest up, understand? The young master wouldn’t want to see you looking pale and haggard either.”

She had heard from other servants delivering meals that Xia Qingqian would look dazed at the food, not taking a bite, only eating a little when the young master was present, surviving mostly on nutritional injections.

This child is truly foolish! Torturing her own body like this.

”If you don’t take care of yourself, the young master’s heart will ache. You’re punishing both yourself and the young master...” Sister Huan knew she shouldn’t gossip too much, but she cared for Xia Qingqian as if she were her own daughter. Seeing one’s own child suffer, a mother would naturally feel hurt, thus speaking a few more words.
