Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Then what do you think we should do?” Beitang Yao stood up, sat down opposite her, and stared at her intently.

Being stared at like that by him, she hurriedly lowered her head and whispered, ”Let’s eat first!”

She actually wasn’t hungry, but if she didn’t eat, he definitely wouldn’t either, so she’d better fill his stomach first.

Beitang Yao gracefully picked up his knife and fork and said with a smile, ”Okay.”

Beitang Yao’s gentleness really made Xia Qingqian feel at a complete loss. Although he had shown a gentle side before, she had never been used to it.

When he finished cutting the steak in front of him into small pieces, he swapped plates with her. ”Eat this.”

Xia Qingqian lowered her head and looked at the plate of steak he had cut up for her, a warm feeling spreading in her heart. Every piece of beef he cut was exactly the same size.

”Yao, hurry up and eat!” She saw that since he came back he hadn’t had a single sip of water, he must be starving! And she had said she would make pastries for him, but before she could even start, he had picked her up to do something else.

Only God knew just how much she ached for him!

”I didn’t eat enough just now. Are you planning to feed me until I’m full?” He cut his steak as he asked her with a smile.

Xia Qingqian’s gaze fell on Beitang Yao’s hands. He looked so handsome when he was cutting steak!

”What are you talking about! If you don’t eat soon, this whole candlelight dinner is going to get cold!” This was the first candlelight dinner of her life, and she was having it with Beitang Yao. How could she not be excited?

”May I have this dance?” Beitang Yao put down his knife and fork, walked over to Xia Qingqian, and, like a gentleman, held out his hand to her, inviting her with a smile.

”Mm.” Xia Qingqian nodded and placed her hand into his large palm. A surge of warmth rushed into her palm, instantly wrapping her in heat.

Then, the two of them began to dance gracefully to the beautiful sound of the piano.

She had never known he could be romantic, and in such a gentle way.

Following his steps, she circled around the spacious hall with him. She couldn’t help but lose herself in it, and gradually she rested her face against his chest, listening to the strong, powerful beat of his heart.

”Do you like this feeling?” Beitang Yao held her in his arms, both hands clasped around her waist as their bodies swayed. He bent down, his low, magnetic voice curling around her ear.

”I like it! Thank you for giving me such an unforgettable candlelight dinner. I’ll remember this beautiful moment for the rest of my life!” She nestled in his embrace and spoke softly.

”Just a candlelight dinner and you’re this moved?” Beitang Yao lowered his head, looking at the little beauty in his arms, and spoke in a low voice.

To Xia Qingqian, his voice was full of temptation. Every word he spoke, even his breathing, tugged at her heartstrings.

”This isn’t just a simple candlelight dinner. You work so hard and still put in this effort. It’s really asking a lot of you. Honestly, as long as you come back, I’m already happy.” She didn’t ask for much; as long as she could see that he was safe, that was enough.

In this romantic atmosphere, Xia Qingqian also became like a little girl, cuddling in his arms like a little bird, giggling foolishly.

”For you, it’s worth it.” He held her as he walked over to the DVD player, reset it to the song from just now, and set it to repeat.

He danced three more songs with her in a row before finally letting her rest. Seeing the fine beads of sweat that had broken out on her forehead, he took a handkerchief from his trouser pocket and gently wiped them away for her.
