Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Xia Qingqian felt the cool touch on the back of her hand. Even though he was there, accompanying her, comforting her, her heart remained heavy. She simply could not bear the reality of the child suddenly being gone.

”Young Master, I’m fine. If you have something to do, go ahead. I can handle being alone.” She didn’t want to face him either. Whenever she did, she couldn’t help but think of the child...

She began to push him away, but he held her tightly and said, ”Qian Qian, I know you’re feeling down right now. Let me stay with you, okay? I will always be by your side, giving you warmth. Please don’t act so cold and distant.”

Her heart trembled slightly, a hint of confusion in her eyes. She looked up at his earnest eyes, her nose tingling, her voice trembling, ”Young Master, I’m not worthy of you doing this for me. It’s my fault the child is gone. I shouldn’t have been so careless, not even noticing I was pregnant. It’s my fault, not yours.” She still couldn’t bring herself to blame him, even though it was his mistake.

”Hearing you say that makes me feel even more guilty! It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have lost my temper with you for no reason. From now on, I’ll control my temper and never lose it with you again.” Beitang Yao sighed softly, heart aching for the woman in his arms. He kept stroking her small face gently, ”Qian Qian, don’t take all the blame. Let’s not dwell on this sadness anymore, okay? Right now, your health is the most important thing. We’re still young; we can talk about children later.”

Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang. Without even looking, he turned it off.

Xia Qingqian felt grateful for his actions. He must have decided to put everything aside to spend time with her, but how could she be so selfish?

Having just cried, her smile was a bit strained. She looked at him and said earnestly, ”Young Master, if you have something to attend to, please go. I can handle being alone, really!”

”Nothing important right now, just that your health is the priority. My work can wait, but your health cannot be delayed, understand? Sadness is harmful to your body too. Don’t let yourself be sad.” His tone was full of sorrow, overflowing with tenderness for her.

”Thank you...” She reached out to embrace his lean waist, her tear-streaked face rubbing against his chest, she murmured softly.

Beitang Yao was initially taken aback, then a beautiful curve formed on his lips. Her occasional initiative always stirred something indescribable within him.

He took the opportunity to lift her up, letting her rest completely against him, his large hand gently smoothing her back.

He sighed inwardly, thinking of how she carried his child, yet he had heartlessly destroyed it. He wasn’t a good man, much less a good dad...

After ensuring she was asleep, Beitang Yao gently placed her back on the bed, tucking her in before getting off the bed and changing into clean clothes.

He found Ye Feng and asked, ”Ye Feng, does she still have a chance to get pregnant?” He recalled Ye Feng once mentioned that her constitution was different, that conceiving was a matter of luck. Moreover, over the past period, she had taken too many contraceptive pills and received numerous injections, which adversely affected her body.
