Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

True, for aristocrats as wealthy as they are, what matters is comfort and luxury, it’s really not up to commoners like us to comment.

However, Xia Qingqian doesn’t want to see his relationship with his family deteriorate like this.

He should be loved and supported by his family, not treated with indifference.

”Yao, have you never thought about reconciling with them? Can’t you let go of the past? I believe that Madam, in heaven, wouldn’t want to see you like this.” Xia Qingqian turned around, gently stroking his cold, resolute cheek, ”I know my status doesn’t allow me to say this, but I don’t want to see you unhappy because of these matters, with a knot forever in your heart.”

Beitang Yao’s face suddenly changed, he didn’t expect this woman would involve herself in his matters: ”Qian Qian, these things aren’t for you to worry about! Just do what’s expected of you!”

Meeting his cold, fiery gaze, her body trembled slightly.

Beitang Yao looked at her, thought for a moment, and felt that his words were a bit hurtful, so he added, ”My matters don’t require your involvement, nor do I want you involved. I only want you to be my woman properly, nothing else is demanded.”

Who knows where this little woman got her courage, daring to be so presumptuous, involving herself in his business.

Although the intention was for his good, he truly didn’t want to see her entangled with those people.

At this moment, the internal phone rang, and Beitang Yao walked over impatiently and picked it up, ”Ye Feng, what’s the matter?”

Wasn’t it instructed that they shouldn’t be disturbed? Why are calls coming in one after another?!

”Young Master, the Old Master is already at the door!” Ye Feng’s tense voice came through.

What was bound to happen, happened. Beitang Yao narrowed his eyes slightly, his sword-like brows furrowing, thinking about some matters.

”Got it, have him wait for a moment.” Beitang Yao said before putting down the phone, then turned to Xia Qingqian and said, ”Let’s go upstairs first to change into something dry, Grandfather is here.”

”Ah?!” Xia Qingqian was so frightened that her soul seemed to leave her body. In broad daylight, if the Old Master found out she was here doing such things with Young Master Yao, would he accuse her of being wanton, seducing Young Master Yao...

Beitang Yao saw her panicked expression and laughed, ”Why are you in such a hurry?”

”Yao, didn’t you say Grandfather is here? How can I meet anyone dressed like this? I need to go up and take a shower first!” Xia Qingqian said as she tried to leave.

But Beitang Yao stretched out an arm, encircling her in his embrace, and said in a low voice, ”Why the rush? I’ll go up with you.” Saying this, he stooped down and scooped Xia Qingqian up in his arms, heading straight upstairs.

Xia Qingqian only felt her body become weightless and, by the time she regained her senses, she was already being held in his arms.

Afraid she might fall, she quickly reached out to wrap her arms around his neck.

After they had showered and changed into fresh clothes, they finally asked the servant to invite the Old Master in. Following him inside were also some people Beitang Yao didn’t want to see.

”What grandson makes his grandfather wait? What mischief were you up to inside?” The old man, holding a box in his hands, came in and, before even sipping a cup of tea, raised his cane as if to strike Beitang Yao.

”Grandfather, Uncle, Young Master Che, hello, please have some tea.” Xia Qingqian brought over four cups, serving them tea one by one.
