Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Xia Qingqian didn’t look up, but dropped her gaze to her shoe tops, muttering, ”I talked back to him!”

”Damn! He scolded you over such a small thing?” Beitang Huan stretched his legs out, speaking gruffly.

”I did cross his line, that’s why he’s upset!” Xia Qingqian swallowed hard and said, ”Huan, Young Master Yao didn’t scold me, I’m just the one who is useless!”

”For crying out loud! Does this not count as scolding you? If he didn’t scold you, why are you crying? Or did you get slapped?” Beitang Huan sighed inwardly, unsure whether to pity her or feel sorry for her.

If Xia Qingqian falls too deep into this relationship, the one who will end up the most hurt will be herself!

Would a proud man like Beitang Yao really choose to spend a lifetime with Xia Qingqian?

”How spineless! I’ll take you out!” Beitang Huan didn’t want Xia Qingqian to be consumed by these troubling matters. He couldn’t understand what was up with Beitang Yao, how could he bear to hurt such a beautiful lady? Oh men, aren’t they just unfathomable and hard to read?

”Where to?” Xia Qingqian finally looked up at Beitang Huan, furrowing her brows as she asked.

”Of course to other places, I’ll take you out to clear your mind, don’t let these worries weigh you down!” Beitang Huan rolled his eyes at Xia Qingqian and then reached out to pull her up.

”Huan, Young Master said not to step out of this place, where are you taking me?” Xia Qingqian recalled Beitang Yao’s words once forbidding her from leaving here, and thinking back on the argument just now made her even more uncertain.

”He surely has no time to bother with you now! Besides, I don’t think anything will happen! With Brother Yao in the castle, others won’t dare cause trouble!” Beitang Huan said, pulling Xia Qingqian away.

Beitang Huan took Xia Qingqian to the golf course.

”Huan, why did you bring me here? I don’t know how to play this game...” Xia Qingqian gazed at the vast expanse of the lawn, the endless grassland, and in the distance stood flagpoles. There were uniformed servants dealing with weeds, who upon seeing Beitang Huan, rose and bowed towards him before retreating; their master wished to use the place, so they tidied up their things and moved on to other tasks.

”If you don’t know, I’ll teach you!” Beitang Huan said, then led Xia Qingqian to change into golf attire, finding a spot sheltered from the wind, ”Qian Qian, watch me play first.”

”Okay.” Xia Qingqian quickly nodded, then stepped aside, watching Beitang Huan swing the golf club. The white ball arced beautifully through the air and landed right in the hole!

”Yeah!” Beitang Huan placed his hand on the brim of his cap, squinted as he watched the ball go into the hole, and jumped for joy, tilting his chin toward Xia Qingqian, ”Qian Qian, come over, don’t just stand there!”

Xia Qingqian clapped and cheered! Then she walked over, her face blushing with a touch of shyness, ”Huan, I’d rather not learn, I really don’t get it!”

”You can learn if you don’t get it! I learned from not knowing to knowing!” Beitang Huan pouted in dissatisfaction, ”Besides, you know, women who stand beside Brother Yao have to be all-rounded! If you don’t even understand this, how would you accompany Brother Yao at engagements in the future, right?”

”I, I haven’t thought that far ahead...” Xia Qingqian held onto the golf club and said quietly.
