Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1263: Chapter 691: I Am the Flame 7

Compared to Amanda’s optimism, Lance appeared somewhat solemn.

Because he wasn’t hiding in the back casting spells, but truly standing at the front, feeling the immense power of the Chaotic Abomination.

After being hit by two or three weakening bombs, with so many Enchanted Throwing Knives stuck in him, his overall state was weakened by at least half, but Lance only managed to block it with great difficulty, making it unrealistic to inflict further injuries.

One must know that he wasn’t the same as when he first encountered it; the early-stage gap wasn’t as large, but in the later stages, the gap between Champion and Legendary was enough to stop most people.

If he hadn’t brought teammates to engage in the just group assault, he would have had to activate the Black Armor when encountering the Chaotic Abomination, even a slight delay would lead to trouble.

It was for this reason that he couldn’t help but doubt—

Can such a powerful Void Demon really be controlled by human strength?

What puzzled Lance even more was that although the attacks from the Chaotic Abomination were fierce, they were limited to relying on physical strength, greatly differing from the abilities shown by that previous Void Limping Walker.

If not for Wang Cai’s appearance causing it to destabilize the void, Lance would have suspected it had been stripped of its void-manipulating powers, much like the targeted transformation against the Flesh Devourer.

At this moment, there was no time for Lance to think too much, as Boudica and Audrey had already dealt with the Priest and arrived.

In any case, four against one, the advantage is ours!

Meanwhile, Audrey killed the Heretic Priest, and Boudica joined the siege.

Axes and spears hacked from behind, causing wounds even more exaggerated than long knives, those Corpse Decomposition Spores seemed resisted by the non-human flesh of the Limping Walker itself.

But Boudica was no fool; she turned and directed her attack at its twisted flesh.

Axe blades crushed eyeballs, chopped crooked mouths, and sliced open tumors.

Those Corpse Decomposition Spores targeted those eerie pieces of flesh, causing wounds that couldn’t easily heal, oozing strange blood continuously.

Audrey was content to stay in the back tossing daggers into the fray, making a token gesture of participating in the battle, with no intent of risking her life.

The besieged Chaotic Abomination then unleashed its power, all its tentacles flailing wildly, inexplicably stirring up a dark chaos, the strange force affecting the entire area in an instant.

Disorder and Disturbance!

A strong abnormal sensation surged into Lance’s mind, the suddenly stimulated vortex tried to propel him, but he stood fast with his shield, unmoved.

He had already endured it once at the front, and having prepared, the same move had little effect on him, his physique and willpower alone granted him immunity.

However, the others weren’t as fortunate; the power of the Holy Water had long been exhausted in so many confrontations, and they were directly propelled by the vortex into chaos.

Amusingly, Boudica, engaged in melee, was pushed backward, flung away from the close distance, rolling on the ground several times before she could struggle to stand with her axe and spear, shaking her head to drive away the strangeness.

Conversely, Audrey, hiding at the back, was pulled to the front by the vortex, and when she opened her eyes, the twisted and terrifying figure of the Chaotic Abomination was right before her, close enough to touch, with its terrifying aura pressing on her soul.

Amanda was also affected, though Lance standing at the front prevented the vortex from disturbing her, yet the force still impacted her condition.

It’s fair to say that with just one move, the Chaotic Abomination put the team into trouble.

In this situation, Lance couldn’t seize the opportunity to attack the Chaotic Abomination, instead raising his hand for a Bless to boost the team, clearing negative effects.

But what’s peculiar is that the Chaotic Abomination didn’t attack then, but seemed to be brewing something.

However, for Lance, it was a more dangerous move, and he immediately shouted for the team to adjust their positions.

”Everyone, retreat quickly!”

The Bless quelled the abnormal sensations among the group, but just as they came to their senses they heard the Lord’s call, and Boudica and Amanda followed suit without delay, while Audrey, out of reflex, used a shadow escape to flee.

At the same time, the Chaotic Abomination finally moved, throwing its head back and emitting an indescribable screech.

Collapse and Resound!

The ghastly force nearly materialized as darkness spreading from its mouth, the strange power unfurling like a black curtain, dimming the entire space slightly, and affecting everyone present.

Audrey, trying to escape through shadow, didn’t get far before that power forced her out from the darkness, dispersing the shadow energy that shrouded her instantly.

Invaded by the sinister energy, Audrey immediately fell into madness, shrieking and howling in agony.

Amanda and Boudica, though farther away, with the speed of sound so close it’s difficult to resist, were affected almost simultaneously, their faces twisting in horror.

Lance had endured many such moves before, and had prepared when he noticed the Chaotic Abomination’s strange actions.

But even when the outbreak occurred, he was affected, feeling his heart clutched tightly, his face instantly paling, the sweat beading on his skin marking his agony.

He knew he was afraid, afraid of the Primordial God’s awakening, afraid of the New God’s emergence, afraid of becoming a monster, and afraid of losing everything he now had...

Fear, despair, frenzy... the oppressive emotions surged, assaulting the last of his reason.
