Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1257: Chapter 688: 4

The Heretic Priest couldn’t care less about its injuries, still trying desperately to extend its spine, but it was held fast by the hooked spear.

”Come here!” Lance’s face twisted with effort, he pulled the rope violently with both arms, ”Get over here!”

The Priest certainly wouldn’t just wait for death. Its lower limbs tried to grasp the ground to resist Lance, but no one could rival Lance’s brute strength, not even the Priest.

At the moment the force was transferred to its body through the rope and hook, it was pulled back in a reverse flight, practically dragged back by Lance.

Only then did Amanda break free from her terror, already affected by the Witch’s Sorcery, besides the stabbing pain in her head, her emotions were uncontrollable, especially fear and despair.

She had almost thought she was dead earlier, but that man acted, restoring a bit of her nearly collapsing sanity.

But the battlefield left them no time to rest, they could see that the Frenzied Cultist and Ascension Witch blasted earlier weren’t dead.

Clearly, they began to recover while everyone’s attention was on the Priest. These guys were particularly resilient in the life-force-rich environment, and Lance had anticipated that such attacks couldn’t kill them.

”Take down the Witch, don’t let it recover!”

Lance grappled with the Priest while shouting, not forgetting to Bless everyone.

A warm stream acted on their bodies, refreshing their weakened states.

If anything, Amanda held grudges, as she locked onto the Ascension Witch upon regaining her composure. The pain from Sorcery turned into hatred, and she immediately charged forward.

The Witch naturally sensed the intense killing intent and couldn’t ignore its injuries, as a tentacle whipped up its Magic Wand, a thick tentacle condensing out of thin air under the red mist.

Shove of Destiny!

It truly felt like mastering destiny, carrying a sensation of inevitability.

But Amanda wasn’t the least bit flustered, she had already tossed her Flying Dagger, hitting the Witch precisely.

The bursting force interrupted the spellcasting process, and the half-condensed tentacle instantly disintegrated in the surge.

Seems like the destiny-master is me, not you!

Amanda’s face showed a cold smile, but her steps didn’t pause.

Once close, it wasn’t the Witch’s domain anymore. The long whip seemed an extension of Amanda’s body, embodying an effortless manner that would be her enemy’s nightmare.

Amanda’s long whip nearly sparked, striking the Witch repeatedly, the attached force tearing the wounds that couldn’t heal and the blood flowed incessantly.

These creatures didn’t feel pain; otherwise, they’d be writhing on the ground in agony.

Though the Witch wanted to retaliate, Amanda wouldn’t allow it an opportunity. Why does the Seeker of Omens restrain Spellcasters?

It’s not like only you can cast spells; that slip earlier aside, the Seeker of Omens has plenty of means to interrupt casting.

When your spell was countered and interrupted, and you’re outmatched in close combat, unless prepared or the strength gap is immense, it’s difficult.

Just like now, the Witch’s spellcasting capabilities far exceeded Amanda’s, but it couldn’t win.

Though there’s the factor of being maimed by Lance earlier, once the long whip tore off the helmet from the Witch’s head, the axe severed the tentacle, and the strong-legged boot kicked the Witch over, none of it mattered.

Amanda was raging, swiftly stepped up and stomped fiercely, the force her taut leg could unleash was perhaps understood only by Lance.

The hard sole of her boot like a hammer, striking the Witch’s distorted head, tumors shattered, eyes exploded, a difficult-to-describe mixture of blood splattered.

Alongside, the heavily wounded Cultist tried guarding but don’t forget there’s still old Six.

Audrey didn’t dare attack those Priests or Clerics, but was bold in bullying Cultists who couldn’t retaliate, immensely so.

Smash it in the face!

An iron pick descended, the point entering from the crown, exiting through the jaw; although the brain’s importance to them diminished, this attack still severely damaged the Cultist, distracting it utterly.

Ferocious strikes, repeatedly, opening several gashes upon the Frenzied Cultist, bursting tumors.

Even the strongest life force would deplete completely, collapsing as it couldn’t endure, strangely filling her with confidence, even a bit of pride.

”Bitch! Die! Die...”

Then Audrey heard the voice beside her, seeing Amanda furiously cursing while stomping violently.

The Witch was already whipped bloodied, now its head squashed, various chaotic fluids oozing, severed tentacles limp discarded aside.

As for the Witch, it showed no reaction anymore, beyond dead.

For some reason, Audrey suddenly panicked; offending such a lunatic was no good...

Once Lance obtained accurate data on the enemy, battles became straightforward; though he could be injured and bleed at first encounter, now he won’t fall for the same trick.

Wolf Fang cleaved open the inhuman body, the sacrifice erased its existence’s trace, such things shouldn’t appear in reality.

Roll to the void!

Boudica had been at a disadvantage against the Ascension Cleric earlier, but now seized control, hacking viciously.
