I AM the Football Star

The entire Barça suddenly fell into an unprecedented stagnation in their offensive play.

Mateo, surprisingly, didn’t score a goal.

Left-back Ava scored with a long-range shot.

Ortiz scored with a long-range shot.

Barça concluded their friendly match journey with a two-nil victory.

Six matches, five wins and one draw, truly an undefeated journey!

The media across the Barcelona region was filled with excitement.

“Barça has finally reached their peak! Ultimate ball control has achieved mastery!”

“An average of 3.7 goals per game! An average ball possession rate of 66%! Who can stop this Barça?”

“Invincible Barça doesn’t even need Lu Yang!”

“Seventy million spent in vain? There’s no point in Barça buying Lu!”

“Moreira has been wronged! Barça is unaffected without him!”

“Barça is playing more smoothly after Moreira left!”

“Six matches, eight goals, Mateo is on fire, his form is scorching hot!”

Fans influenced by this news have become extremely optimistic.

They completely overlook the quality of the series of friendly matches.

At best, Flamenco is a weak team standard, while Manchester United is at the strong team standard.

Yet against them, Barça had one win and one draw, and the scores were quite ordinary.

Moreover, don’t forget, Manchester United had significant lineup changes, bringing in key-level midfielders, center-backs, goalkeepers, and wingers, and were still in the adaptation phase.

Whereas most of Barça’s players had been working well together for over two years.

Their proficiency levels are completely different.

Mebarak also took this opportunity to do a high-profile interview: “I’ve said before, we have enough excellent players who have showcased their value.”

“I’ll reiterate my point, I hope Barça focuses more energy on the team’s construction and maintenance. Our youth training needs a lot of funding, and we can continuously generate talent internally.”

“If we do this well, we don’t even need to gamble outside!”

His words made Barça fans feel quite comfortable.

Youth training is indeed important.

But thinking one step further, paying attention to the youth training system means also paying attention to the development and future of youth players, doesn’t it? Especially those who have already become regular players in the first team?

Mebarak is raising his value to no end.

He didn’t directly talk about salary and power.

But over time, how will you show your importance?

Isn’t it still about salary and power?

Meanwhile, Mebarak also made some subtle comments about Lu Yang.

But his tone was mild, as many in the local faction no longer want to oppose Lu.

At least, before Lu actually plays a match, everyone doesn’t want to act rashly.

If Lu can truly enhance the team’s strength, then everyone would be quite welcoming.

After all, most people don’t have ill intentions.

But in most teams, there are always one or two people who like to stir things up.

This can’t be avoided.

Where there are people, there are disputes.

…

After the wave of friendlies passed, another “big event” occurred in Chinese football!

Serie A team San Remo took winger Yu Shihao from Shanghai Shanggang, who had just been promoted to the first team and hadn’t played an official match yet, for two hundred thousand euros.

Later, San Remo spent another one hundred thousand euros to acquire young center-back Chen Tao from Chengdu Rongcheng.

Thus, there were two more overseas players in Chinese football.

Along with Shi Tian, who went to La Liga with Spanish one or two years earlier, the three are called the “Overseas Three Heroes” by everyone!

They are all expected to make a mark in Europe.

On August 22, La Liga kicked off first.

Barcelona faced off against strong team Malaga at home and secured a debut victory.

They won with a thrilling 3-2 score.

It was thrilling because Barça’s center-back partnership made too many mistakes in this match.

Now many at Barça regret buying Lu Yang instead of the defensive midfielder and center-back swingman Lam from San Remo.

If Lam played center-back, his moving speed could perfectly match either Mebarak or Clement!

As a result, Lam is now shining at Juventus, while Lu Yang hasn’t completely gotten rid of his crutches!

Frustrating!

On August 30, the second round of La Liga.

Barça narrowly defeated strong team Villarreal with a 2-1 win.

In two matches, Mateo scored three goals and provided one assist, standing third on the La Liga scorers’ list.

Second place is Domenguez from Atletico, with four goals in two matches, going wild!

Atletico’s midfield trio of Kolar, Candreva, and Vidal show high completeness, being excellent in both attack and defense.

Candreva had a stellar performance with one goal and two assists in two matches, showcasing the brilliance of a mini Serie A World Cup.

And the key is that such a player can’t even enter a top club in Serie A, just to ask you if Serie A is desirable.

The first place on the scorers’ list is Real Madrid’s central forward Nazario Lima, returning from injury!

The Alien scored five goals in two matches, a powerful comeback!

From the first two rounds, Real Madrid seems even more formidable than last year!

Of course, Barça isn’t doing badly either.

However, some noticed Villarreal’s gameplay in the second round against Barça; they seemed to be deliberately limiting Mateo.

But their efforts failed in the second half.

Mateo relied on his excellent personal ability to break through Villarreal’s blockade and score the winning goal.

But that was because Mateo was in good form for this match.

What if he’s not in form?

Early September, the Champions League group stage draw ceremony began.

Barça was placed in Group C, as the third-tier team in Group C.
