I AM the Football Star

Chapter 1231: Chapter 291: Barça Player Ratings—Minister Instead of King?

“Ding! Your personal data has been updated!”

“Ding! You have joined Barcelona Football Club and obtained teammate rating data!”

After finishing the “daily communication *7” with Sofia, she finally fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Lu Yang received a system notification.

For him personally, his overall attack rating rose from 84 to 88, defense rating from 86 to 88, and physical rating from 89 to 94.8.

This high physical rating is due to changes in the system evaluation.

Previously, Lu Yang’s full data like vision and stamina weren’t included in the overall rating calculation because they were at maximum level.

That’s why Lu Yang’s actual skill level was slightly higher than his overall rating.

But now the system has fixed this bug. Though these maxed-out stats still don’t contribute to the overall rating, each category rating directly gains points based on the number of full attributes.

Thus, Lu Yang’s physical rating increased from 91.8 to 94.8, nearly reaching Superstar Level.

Calculated comprehensively, Lu Yang’s overall rating successfully reached 90 points.

He leapt from an entry-level world-class star to an entry-level top-tier superstar.

Of course, as mentioned before, Lu Yang is a player with a comprehensive development type, whose overall rating improves relatively slowly.

This is because he can exhibit star-level prowess not only in attack but also in defense, and his physical condition is originally at Superstar Level.

Morici, a player with single-sided development, might be very close to being a superstar in attack.

However, in defense, he almost offers nothing.

It’s worth knowing that Morici’s defensive capabilities are actually stronger than the external perception.

In lower-level competitions, he can completely become the “little Lu Yang” in defense.

But when placed in higher-level competitions, even if the data differs by only five or six points, the actual performance can vary greatly.

Thus, Morici’s defense gradually ends up offering nothing in high-level competitions.

This is why the requirements for player classification become increasingly critical in top-tier competitions.

All-round players find it hard to establish themselves in elite competitions, where only the strongest in each category is needed.

Therefore, by simply looking at the overall rating, Lu Yang estimates that Morici, Talista, and other players might also push up to 90 points.

Perhaps even beyond 90 points.

But in terms of actual strength… sorry, the younger should remain younger.

After seeing his own data, Lu Yang looked at Barça’s player ratings.

Not knowing was fine, but upon seeing, he was shocked.

Last season’s San Remo ratings might not be remembered by many.

In the forward line, Bai Zhami has 81, Fernandez 78, Talista 88, Calafiori 75.

In midfield, Delarre has 82, Lam 81, Moriba 75, Morici 87, Kaint 85.

In defense, Camihong has 78, Bernulin 89, Naji 79, Alme 78, Palacios 75, Canyes 86, Areola 82, Woodman 77.

Due to their courageous capture of the Champions League, this year these players’ ratings generally increase by two or three points, and some might significantly rise.

For instance, Delarre, who performed brilliantly and had a lower initial rating, might increase by five or six points this year!

Also, Camihong, who was especially tough in key battles, eventually outdid himself. Whether facing Angel’s Wings or Robben, he stood firm and may similarly rise by five or six points, breaking the limitations his original talent imposed.

Initially, Camihong’s lifetime upper limit might have been just 80 points.

But after the season starts this year, he might reach around 82 or 83 points.

Moreover, in the future, he might even increase further.

This is the triumph of human effort over fate.

But many didn’t initially understand what these players’ scores signified, nor did they comprehend San Remo’s nearly constant comeback games towards the season’s end.

Including Lu Yang himself felt exhausted at times.

But after seeing Barça’s player ratings, Lu Yang truly saw the sense.

No wonder I always came back from behind; you all had these ratings?

Barça’s substitute players have average ratings in the 81 to 85 range.

After Italian youngster Pirola transferred to Barça, he could only guard the water cooler, but his rating is actually as high as 82.

On the entire San Remo defensive line, only Bernulin is far superior to Pirola, while others are weaker than him.

Moreover, Pirola is also a tall player, with physical qualities comparable to Naji.

Such a player can’t get playing time at Barça.

In Barça’s main lineup, only the Portuguese right-back Nelson Canisell has a rating of 86; the others are all equal to or greater than 88!

Left-back Hoddy Aw, Spain’s national player, has a rating of 88.

Goalkeeper Matt Kahn, Germany’s national goalkeeper, competes very fiercely with Bayern’s Manuel Bauer, with a rating of 89.

Center-back Yves Clement, France’s national player, has a rating of 88.

Center-back Sacha Mebarak, Spain’s national player, one of Barça’s local leaders, has a rating of 90.

Defensive midfielder Levi Burgos, Spain’s national player, has a rating of 89.

He competes very fiercely with former Roma player Balera and Atletico Madrid midfielder Fabian Corall for the national team’s starting position.

Balera has the biggest fame, is the strongest, and slightly older, yet is still at his peak.

Corall and Burgos are part of Spain’s newly rising golden generation, with Corall having higher talent, but Burgos excelling because he has played alongside Spain’s two absolute midfield cores from a young age and is in the same club.

Each of the three has their merits, having been rotated over the past few years.

Therefore, Spain has the strongest midfield reserves among national teams, even more so than England!
