I AM the Football Star

Chapter 1226: Chapter 290: Whether Barça or Real Madrid, Lu the Madman Is Slaughtering Relentlessly

Damn!

Now’s not the time to wuss out!

If you back down, you’ll definitely be at a disadvantage in the locker room.

As for offending the fans, it’s not as important as power in the locker room.

Because if you get the locker room, you get the stats on the field.

If your stats are good, it doesn’t matter if the team wins nothing year after year.

The fans will love you.

Mebarak: “I didn’t expect the team to bring in someone like this! Lu Yang, right? You have no right to play for Barça. In the long river of Barça’s honors, you are just a tiny speck of dust!”

“Barça doesn’t need anything you bring; Barça will win all the championships they want on their own!”

Lu Yang: “Is that so? Three years or five? Is the Spanish Super Cup what Barça wants?”

“Whether I’m qualified to be here is not for you to decide, it’s for the facts to decide.”

“I never intended to offend Barça; I came here to play football. But if someone wants to step on me to do something, then sorry, I won’t agree.”

“I’m not like Mateo. Mateo focuses on football, focuses on tactics. He can ignore being made a tool by others.”

“He can be used as a scapegoat to push out Moreira.”

“He can be made an excuse for some people to demand high salaries from the club.”

“He can be the fig leaf when the team’s performance is abysmal!”

“But not me!”

“I only accept responsibilities and obligations that are mine. I can give my all for Barça, but I absolutely won’t allow someone to stab me in the back during this time!”

“I greatly admire Moreira’s football talent, but I am also indignant about his misfortune at Barça!”

“The fans are innocent, Moreira is innocent, Mateo may also be innocent, but… someone isn’t innocent!”

Mebarak was panicking, posted: “What are you talking about? So you’re suspecting I had something to do with Moreira’s transfer? Bro, you’re overestimating me, it was Moreira himself who wanted to leave, everyone knows that!”

Lu Yang: “I didn’t mention you, but you jumped out yourself! Moreover, we can only barely be considered colleagues now, since a true friend wouldn’t trample me into the mud right after I joined.”

“The Barça local faction, you’d better behave. You can choose to bring championships to Barça with me, or welcome me with applause after I bring championships to Barça, but don’t interfere.”

“My fists are hard as hell! Italians all know this!”

Barça fans were originally quite vocal.

But Lu Yang’s words made many stop their keyboard attacks.

Because they seemed to see another layer of the veil behind Moreira’s departure from Barça.

After all, Moreira was once the king of Barça.

His departure caused even the beloved Mateo to suffer a bad reputation, and many of Moreira’s diehard fans ended up hating Mateo because of it.

But now, everyone seems to realize there’s someone more worth pursuing responsibility.

Mebarak?

Why him?

He’s not a key player, but why… hold on…

NDA!

Local faction?

Some fans have figured it out.

The term local faction entered the public’s view officially.

Even some hardcore Barça fans confirmed the existence of the local faction and its significant influence on Barça in recent years, based on the extreme ball control tactics to the changes in team performance, personnel, and news trends after the La Masia generation stabilized in the main team.

Moreira’s departure was initially attributed to position conflicts with Mateo.

But in fact, it has been proven that Barça needs a dual core for perfection.

Moreira was willing to make some sacrifices, allowing Mateo to become the team’s only main core, himself acting as the secondary core.

This was the perfect state!

But the local faction continued to promote extreme ball control and established a theory of incompatibility between Moreira and Mateo, pushing extreme ball control to a “pure” point.

This purity drove Moreira away completely.

This is the fundamental reason for Moreira’s departure.

It wasn’t the old king refusing to give way, it was the new king’s underlings not leaving him a way out!

Mebarak disappeared.

Feeling like he couldn’t continue the online battle, otherwise… bring trouble upon himself.

Lu Yang, right? After you arrived at Barça, the local faction will give you a showing.

Just you wait!

At this moment, Gudiola saw the verbal battle easing, and hurriedly stepped out to stop the disputes.

Anyway, he, as the head coach, was very clear that Lu Yang came to Barça to actually lead Barça to win championships.

You can see clearly in the contract, no championships, no money!

How can that be a lie?

What is loyalty?

The word loyalty only holds meaning to the fans.

In the past, loyalty in football was a shackle clubs used to control players.

In the future, players will turn against clubs, making them reap what they sowed.

In modern football, there’s no loyalty, it’s only about whether the conditions are satisfactory, whether enough money is paid.

Don’t be fooled by Mebarak and the local faction’s apparent devotion to Barça, they indeed signed a second contract not out of line after their first youth contract expired.

But did they really lose out?

As academy graduates, they gained stable first-team appearances.

To develop them, Barça cleared several superstars, and the recent drop in performance is because of this.

Barça has made a significant effort too.

This is fair.

Now you’re complaining about low wages?

Who was it that said, “I don’t want the money as long as I can play steadily” back then?
