I AM the Football Star

Chapter 1218: Chapter 289: None of You Can Compare to Me!

Crazy!

He Gongliang beside shouted that it was crazy.

There’s no way to pay like this even in RMB, let alone in Euro!

This isn’t a player transfer!

This is freaking God’s transfer!

The total extreme value of this contract could very likely reach 190 million euros!

And the minimum value is also 110 million euros!

This is an unprecedented super contract in football history!

Even bigger than Izalelt’s contract last year!

Once the details of this contract are revealed, it will definitely cause a drastic transformation in the football world.

Football is truly entering a new era.

And Lu Yang, is its leader!

Lu Yang licked his lips, this is indeed quite a deal.

Calculating it this way, his annual income is almost close to what he earned from making movies with Sofia.

Of course, only close.

And it’s only Lu Yang’s earnings, excluding Sofia’s share.

“What if I want to go to La Liga?” After reading Manchester City’s offer, Lu Yang spoke up.

Gudiola took a deep breath and pulled out another offer sheet.

Even Lu Yang couldn’t help but click his tongue.

Barça is really…

“Bro, your influence at Barça is not up to par! I still suggest you join Manchester City!” Lu Yang said, throwing the offer sheet back to Gudiola.

Gudiola smiled wryly.

No way.

This is just the style of Barça.

Everything must be done cautiously.

Without careful calculations over the years, how can Barça compete with the wealthy Real Madrid?

Those later deals like Coutinho, Dembele, Umtiti, even Griezmann would’ve never happened at this stage and with this iteration of Barça.

“If you were me, what would you choose?” Lu Yang left Gudiola with a question.

Gudiola smiled awkwardly.

Damn Barça, making me experience this kind of awkwardness once again.

How is this different from the 25 million euro offer for Morici before?

Of course, it’s not that Barça’s conditions are far inferior to Manchester City’s.

In fact, it’s quite the opposite, most of Barça’s conditions are better than Manchester City’s!

Rosmei has gone all out to keep his position!

But he also truly considered Barça and didn’t act recklessly.

There’s a very stringent condition in this contract that no player could accept.

Gudiola left the field and entered his private car, taking out his phone to prepare to call Manchester City.

Preparing to welcome Lu Yang to join.

And he, himself, also had to prepare a resignation letter.

If Lu Yang doesn’t come to Barça, there’s no point in staying at Barça.

Ding!

As Gudiola dialed the number, a text came in.

Lu Yang: Let the Premier League fly a bit longer, the center of world football is next… La Liga!

Gudiola trembled all over.

Not sure where the emotion came from.

Maybe, it was the emotion of finally being saved as a Barça man in his bones.

Barça!

Lu Yang chose Barça!

He’s actually going to join Barça!

Gudiola immediately opened the car door and rushed back to the Garden Primary School field.

“Are you sure, are you really sure, you didn’t see it wrong? You didn’t miss the last sentence?” Gudiola shouted as he ran towards Lu Yang.

The people around looked at him strangely.

Is this person really a world-famous coach?

Sure he didn’t escape from a psychiatric hospital?

Outsiders wouldn’t understand Gudiola’s feelings at this moment.

Manchester City would be where Gudiola ascends the throne.

But Barcelona… is Gudiola’s home.

He keeps mentioning Manchester City not to let Lu Yang choose Manchester City, but to imply that he himself wants to choose Manchester City!

But the more it is like this, the more it shows he can’t leave Barça.

At least before leaving, he hopes to personally bring a significant championship trophy to Barça!

70 million euro transfer fee!

8 million euro annual salary, increasing year by year, five-year contract!

The highest specification bonus!

Commercial development ranking at the same level as Mateo!

70/30 split of the portrait rights, Lu Yang seven, Barça three!

A 10 million euro staggering signing fee!

In the first three years, a 3 million euro King’s Cup bonus!

6 million euro league championship bonus!

10 million euro Champions League bonus!

In all aspects, more favorable than what Manchester City offered.

But both Gudiola and Lu Yang knew this contract doesn’t carry as much sincerity as Manchester City’s.

Because Barça added a special clause at the end.

“If Lu Yang’s appearances in the season at Barça are less than thirty, Barça has the right to freely terminate the contract without paying Lu Yang the full salary and bonus for the season!”

“If Lu Yang meets the appearance number requirement, but Barça doesn’t obtain a major champion honor that season, Lu Yang’s income for that season will be halved!”

“Which means at least one of the King’s Cup, league championship, UEFA Europa League Championship, or Champions League Championship must be won! Otherwise, Lu Yang’s income won’t be more than Morici’s, which is close to the current market’s top salary only.”

That’s quite the difference.

One is the current top salary, but the other is twice the current top salary!

The top salary itself is already a benchmark income, much higher than the players below.

This doubling really makes it a unique level of income.

In a way, this supplementary Barça clause maximally avoids the financial pressure brought to Barça if Lu Yang turns out to be a flop.

Though Barça would still bear huge losses, they would be within a bearable range.

This is why Gudiola did not view Lu Yang signing with Barça favorably.
