I AM the Football Star

Seeing the general rise in salaries in world football now, some people are getting restless.

Your contract doesn’t end for another three years, and you’re already clamoring for a pay raise for your teammates. Naturally, you’ll get a high salary when the time comes, right?

It’s smart, but not everyone fails to notice it.

Stepping back ten thousand paces, you’re calculating for one or two million now, but when the Golden Yuan further floods in, entering the era of tens of millions for player salaries, can you really resist the temptation?

In comparison, Gudiola appreciates straightforward players like Lu Yang more.

I give you a satisfying price, you give me your all-out effort.

No need for unnecessary tricks.

Isn’t it better to apply extra wisdom and energy to the field?

”Lu Yang is an excellent player, and Bar?a is a great club. Next season, we will definitely spark some fireworks. But before that, I hope both sides remain calm,” Gudiola stated, ”We should cherish each other, and there’s no need to pick winners and losers within our big collective.”

”Let’s strive for next season’s championship, Bar?a!”

Gudiola, as Head Coach, is indeed having a hard time.

After posting, he planned to call Mateo.

Though the leader of the local group is Mebarak, they’re attached to Mateo to quietly make money and avoid risks by reducing attention from fans and the club, even clearing risks.

On the surface, Mateo seems to be the leader.

So as long as Mateo makes a statement, the issue can be initially resolved.

Ding!

Before he made the call, a social platform alert came through.

”Your friend Lu Yang liked your post!”

At this moment, Gudiola’s eyes were about to tear up.

Perspective!

What a perspective, Brother Lu!

So magnanimous!

One moment, he’s a keyboard warrior, the next, liking the post of his former boss.

Capable of holding on and letting go.

Gudiola was moved to tears.

Alright, these two years, I’ll go crazy with you!

”Hello, Mateo? Did you see my social media post?” Gudiola asked directly.

”Huh? I haven’t used my phone recently, I’m in closed training.” Mateo said while signaling friends to lower the music at the party.

He’s aware but doesn’t want to respond.

He agrees with Mebarak.

Lu Yang’s salary is really too high.

If Lu Yang goes to Real Madrid, Izalelt, Zidane, Lima, and others would react like Mateo.

They’re human, not sages, and they have their emotions.

”Oh, well take a look now, and remember to like it after viewing! I haven’t received a like from you in a while, haha!” Gudiola requested straightforwardly.

Although joking, it had a commanding nature.

Mateo remained silent.

”I think you don’t want Bar?a to continue falling, right?” Gudiola said, ”Only a king of an ascendant Bar?a is the true king. A player’s performance is always the most important thing.”

”Mebarak’s opinions are sometimes great, but have you heard the story of the king and the ministers?”

”What?” Mateo asked.

Gudiola said, ”The king’s family only lasts a dynasty, but some minister’s families survive through history!”

”Because the king needs to lead the country upwards, or face elimination. Ministers just need to bow to successive kings!”

”You and them... are not the same!”

A cold sweat ran down Mateo’s back.

He didn’t know how he hung up the call.

He always thought he was the same as Mebarak, Ortiz, Hernandez, Burgos; they were good playmates and comrades from La Masia Youth Training Camp.

But now he pondered, am I really the same as them?

...

With both Lu Yang and Mateo liking Gudiola’s post, Bar?a players did likewise, and no one spoke out again.

Opinions will exist, but internal communication will happen.

With the new season starting, Bar?a first needs to solve these issues.

But while Bar?a seeks tranquility, Real Madrid won’t let them have it.

If Bar?a is fine, Real Madrid isn’t.

If Real Madrid is fine, Bar?a isn’t.

It’s a zero-sum game, no possibility of a win-win.

A Real Madrid executive stated, ”Honestly, we’ll pay twenty million if Bar?a sells Lu Yang to us. Solve your problem, and we gain a potential star! Isn’t everyone happy?”

This was originally mocking Bar?a for spending money but messing up.

But Real Madrid soon discussed mockingly where Lu Yang should play after joining.

Aside from center-back and full-back, Lu Yang would struggle to secure a stable starting spot at Real Madrid.

Insisting on playing forward, he’d have to be a backup for Lima, Izalelt, and Zidane.

He might compete with Enriquez, but Real Madrid fans favor their own young players, and Enriquez is realizing his talent, showing signs of evolving into a top superstar.

Even though everyone knows Lu Yang is better than Enriquez, as long as Lu Yang doesn’t join, he’ll be a backup!

Real Madrid discusses it merrily.

But they completely ignored Brother Lu’s feelings.

I, Brother Lu, am also someone you can gossip about!

Having just argued with Bar?a, feeling upset, and now Real Madrid stirs things up.
