I AM the Football Star

Chapter 1224: Chapter 289: Me… You Can’t Measure Up to Me!

His doubts are very useful.

The Barça players responded instantly.

And although it’s about salaries, the comparison is with Lu Yang.

At times like this, Lu Yang is inevitably caught in the crossfire.

Especially from the fans.

“Why can he get Fifty Million, while our players only get Two Million?”

“His level at Barça would only be around Two to Three Million!”

“Not worth it! He’s already got a broken leg! One Million to evaluate him for a year might be okay!”

“Lu Yang’s annual salary is Eight Million, Mateo’s should be Ten Million!”

“Ortiz definitely has Eight Million!”

“Hernandez is also Eight Million!”

“Burgos should also be Six or Seven Million, Mebarak has to be Eight Million!”

“Mancini surely needs Five Million! Canisell Four Million!”

The fans eagerly followed the topic.

Making Lu Yang’s fans very embarrassed and angry.

This price is given by your boss, not something we stole or robbed, why are you complaining to us?

If you can, continue to impeach your club president!

Crazy!

Seeing the atmosphere was almost set, Mebarak showed his true intentions in a video interview, stating: “If I were Lu Yang, I would proactively ask for a salary reduction!”

“As a player, we can only take what we should. We need to know our true value and what we can contribute to the team.”

“This is the essence of Barça’s traditional culture! Only in this way can one integrate into Barça and achieve self-worth as a player!”

Facing such remarks, Morici, who flew to China to accompany Lu Yang on vacation, said: “Shameless! First, say your brothers’ salaries are low, and then let you actively reduce your salary, so the club has money to increase their salaries, right?”

After all, speaking directly about wanting a salary increase seems a bit unseemly.

But if you approach it in such a roundabout way, the goal is achieved, and it looks quite elegant.

The key is that the high-ups have already allocated the money, if not given to Lu Yang, it’ll be given to other players, it’s not going back anyway.

At this time, if the high-ups say we don’t have money, can the players believe it?

Mebarak lying in his grand villa in Barcelona, playing manipulative games, several times moving Mateo, Barça high-ups, and Lu Yang in his palm, achieving his goal.

Truly a brilliant tactician!

Only… he shouldn’t have provoked Lu Yang.

That afternoon, Lu Yang responded via video to the recent discussions from Barça about him: “Mebarak said if he were me, he would proactively ask for a salary reduction. I understand his mindset, but I’m sorry…he is not me.”

“One Spanish Super Cup championship, team players as the core winning one Copa America championship, one entry in the Champions League best XI, five entries in the King’s Cup best XI, two times King’s Cup dribbling king, one time King’s Cup assist king, ten times La Liga best XI.”

“These are all the honors that Barcelona Football Club and its players have achieved in all competitions over the past three years!”

“Champions League Champion, Europa League Champion, European Cup Champion, European Youth Championship Champion, European Super Cup Champion, Italian Super Cup Champion, Serie B Italian Third Division Italian D Division Champion, three Italian Cup champions.”

“Record-breaking European Golden Boot in the Champions League, Europa League, Serie A, Golden Boot in the European Cup, best player in major competitions such as European Cup, Champions League, Europa League, Serie A more than eight times, selected for the best XI over ten times. These are some of the achievements I have obtained over the past three years, and Serie A Player of the Month awards aren’t available in your La Liga, so I won’t write them here.”

“Last season, a total of sixty-six goals and eighteen assists across all competitions, overwhelmingly becoming the European Golden Boot, and this is my career’s least scoring full season…”

“So Mebarak, you cannot be me. Because in all of Barça, there’s no one like me.”

“Before I was in this football world, Barça was stronger than me. But after I got here, I am much stronger than Barça… too much!”

“Before the Champions League semifinals, I actually said to Real Madrid, now I present this unchanged to Barça. I’m not here to make a pilgrimage, I’m here to lead you to win championships!”

“Don’t compare with me…you can’t compare!”
