The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 200: Chapter 200: The Prince Cares Even More for the Princess Consort

Feng Qing spoke: ”Earlier, I saw that Guo looked very sleepy, so I let him sleep for a while by the shrubbery, and I went for a walk around here.”

Hong Chi disapprovingly glanced at Guo Feng, and the group hurriedly returned.

Inside the tent, Rong Ling was reading. Upon hearing the commotion, he looked up and noticed the unusual state of Feng Qing—her hair was slightly disheveled, her face had a lot of dirt, and her clothes were stained with soil. Her walking was also a bit sluggish.

A flash of worry passed through Rong Ling’s eyes, and he then asked in a deep voice, ”What happened?”

Before Feng Qing could speak, he looked directly at Hong Chi, Guo Feng, Si Qi, and Si Hua.

”Four people went out, yet you couldn’t take care of the Princess Consort. What use are you?”

His voice was chillingly cold.

Hong Chi, Guo Feng, Si Qi, and Si Hua all knelt down in unison.

”We are at fault, Your Highness.”

Seeing this, Feng Qing became anxious. This was all her doing, how could she let others suffer for it?

Feng Qing quickly looked at Rong Ling and said, ”Don’t blame them, I’m fine, just had a fall.”

Rong Ling turned to Feng Qing, scolding her with annoyance: ”You call this fine? As the dignified Princess Consort Yong, you fell and ended up like this. If others saw, they’d probably laugh at Prince Yong Mansion.”

Feng Qing quickly apologized: ”Your Highness, I won’t do it again. I just forgot there was a small mound underfoot and fell.”

Before Rong Ling could respond, Feng Qing cried out in pain: ”Your Highness, my leg hurts, let them get up first.”

After speaking, Feng Qing walked towards a chair, while Rong Ling cast a cold glance at Hong Chi and Guo Feng and said, ”Each of you will receive ten strikes, and if there’s a next time, you won’t stay here.”

Hong Chi and Guo Feng breathed a sigh of relief and hurried out to receive their punishment. Causing the Princess Consort to fall, ten strikes were too light.

According to the Prince’s usual nature, at least twenty strikes would be administered, so the ten strikes were due to the Princess Consort pleading for them.

Hong Chi and Guo Feng secretly noted Feng Qing’s kindness.

Inside the tent, Rong Ling again coldly looked at the two maids. Feng Qing, fearing he would have them punished too, immediately spoke: ”Don’t punish them. If you do, who will take care of me?”

This time, Feng Qing had only brought Si Qi and Si Hua to the Royal Hunting Ground.

Rong Ling, hearing this, cast a chilly glance at the two maids: ”This time, I’ll let it pass, but if it happens again, both offenses will be punished.”

Si Qi and Si Hua breathed a sigh of relief: ”Thank you, Your Highness.”

Rong Ling ignored the maids and ordered Nan Feng, who was by the side of the tent, ”Fetch the herbal ointment for blood circulation and bruising.”

Nan Feng acknowledged and quickly fetched a box of the ointment.

Si Qi went to take it and apply it to Feng Qing, but Rong Ling spoke from the side of the tent: ”Everyone out, leave the medicine.”

Nan Feng placed the medicine down and turned to leave, while Si Qi and Si Hua looked at Feng Qing. Seeing she gave no instructions, the two maids left.

Once they were outside, they whispered: ”Do you think the Prince chased us out to personally apply the ointment to the Princess Consort?”

”I think it’s possible. The Prince is becoming more attentive toward the Princess Consort. That’s good news.”

”Yes, yes.”

Inside the tent, seeing the maids leave, Feng Qing saw that Rong Ling sat on one side of the tent, unmoving. She slowly got up, intending to go over and get the ointment for blood circulation and bruising. Her leg really did hurt, and to avoid any suspicion, she had gone to great lengths.

However, as Feng Qing moved, Rong Ling, who was sitting idly, coldly grunted in displeasure: ”Stay seated, you’re hurt and still restless.”
