The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 197: Chapter 197: I Have an Urgent Matter for You, Commander

Si Qi and Si Hua exchanged a glance and agreed.

This matter concerning the eardrops is neither too big nor too small. If it were to fall into the hands of a man, and he happened to know that the eardrops belonged to the Princess Consort, they might falsely accuse her of having improper relations, which would ruin her reputation.

”We servants will go look for it.”

Si Qi and Si Hua quickly ran off, while Feng Qing let out a sigh of relief. After a moment, she glanced towards Hong Chi and Guo Feng and said, ”Why don’t you go ahead and see what’s happening with the Fifth Princess?”

Hong Chi and Guo Feng shook their heads and refused, saying, ”We are under the Prince’s orders to protect the Princess Consort. Other matters don’t concern us.”

Feng Qing’s face fell, and she glared at the two, saying, ”I am the Princess Yong, and I know full well something has happened with the Fifth Princess up ahead yet pretend ignorance. If the Empress Dowager and Your Majesty find out, what would they say about the Prince Yong Mansion?”

The two guards found reason in her words, and Hong Chi spoke up, ”Then I’ll go and check, while Guo Feng stays here to protect the Princess Consort.”

Feng Qing knew that was the best she could do; saying more would only arouse suspicion from the two subordinates.

After Hong Feng left, Feng Qing nonchalantly led Guo Feng on a slow walk, with Guo Feng maintaining a distance, following her.

Feng Qing’s lips curved into a half-smile, and she discreetly pinched some powdered drug out with her fingers. Soon, Guo Feng started yawning, feeling extremely drowsy and wanting to sleep.

At this point, Feng Qing had already led Guo Feng to a shrubbery, and Guo Feng, unable to resist the drowsiness, instinctively fell to the ground.

Seeing him succumb, Feng Qing promptly dragged Guo Feng into the shrubbery.

Inside the shrubbery, she took off her outer garment, revealing a gray-black servant’s attire underneath.

She removed her head accessories, re-tied her hair, and took off all her earrings and bracelets, hiding them in a spot within the shrubbery.

Finally, she applied special lotion to her face, concealing the gray spider mark.

Once she finished all this, Feng Qing emerged from the shrubbery, not daring to delay anymore.

If she didn’t hurry and intercept Han Moyao, she feared she would miss the opportunity. Without Han Moyao’s assistance, she couldn’t fake her death without Rong Ling ever finding out.

Currently, Rong Ling believes her to be the Princess Consort. If she fled, he’d surely have people capture her; only by making him believe she’s dead could she truly be free.

Therefore, someone must help her wrap up the matter, and this person’s abilities should be strong. Han Moyao was the best candidate to pick.

Feng Qing pondered as she dashed towards the previous path.

Just as she reached the edge of the path, she saw several figures on horseback approaching.

Without further thought, Feng Qing dashed forward to stop Han Moyao’s carriage.

Han Moyao, riding comfortably on his horse, suddenly noticed a servant rushing out from the path, his face instantly turning grim. However, he managed to rein in his horse and controlled the steed.

Feng Qing was startled, her heart pounding. She was determined to leave; if Han Moyao ignored her and rode over her, she wouldn’t die but would suffer severe injuries.

Fortunately, Han Moyao had stopped his horse.

The men behind Han Moyao, their faces dark, scolded Feng Qing harshly, ”Are you seeking death, daring to rush out like that?”

Feng Qing quickly nodded and bowed apologetically, ”I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I have urgent matters to discuss with Han the Commander.”

Without waiting for Han Moyao’s men to speak, she rushed to Han Moyao’s horse, looking up at Han Moyao perched high in the saddle and said, ”Commander, I urgently need to speak with you.”
