The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Who Was Swapped?

Rong Ling said and then turned to look at Feng Qing, who immediately understood his intention and turned to lead the two maidservants towards the execution platform.

At the edge of the execution platform, Vice Minister Wen only felt he was about to faint, but thinking of his own and his family’s lives, he shouted once again: ”Prince, this is the condemned prisoner about to be beheaded. I am executing the emperor’s order to oversee the execution. No outside person is allowed to approach the prisoner without permission.”

Outside the execution platform, the common people looked at each other, puzzled by all this. Everyone felt that Prince Yong was quite humane, but what did Vice Minister Wen mean?

The Prince just wanted Princess Yong to tidy up for the Han Family, but why was Vice Minister Wen obstructing him in every possible way?

As everyone hesitated, Rong Ling had already lost his temper at the front. He abruptly shouted coldly: ”Wen Xu, you have quite the audacity! I merely asked the Princess to tidy up for the Han Family, and yet you obstruct in every possible way. Is there something inappropriate about the prisoner?”

Without waiting for Wen Xu to speak again, Rong Ling shouted furiously: ”Could it be that you coveted Han Family’s beauty and thus swapped her out?”

As he finished speaking, Rong Ling looked at his subordinates behind him and said: ”Stop Vice Minister Wen.”

”Princess, go and check for me who exactly is on the platform? Why does Vice Minister Wen stop them at every turn?”

Several subordinates led by Nan Xuan rushed over to stop Vice Minister Wen and others, while Feng Qing, along with Si Qi and Si Hua, headed straight for the execution platform.

Vice Minister Wen, seeing things about to go wrong, struggled and shouted: ”Stop them, stop them.”

Rong Ling coldly shouted: ”I would like to see who dares!”

Rong Ling was once the Dayan Regent King, and the intimidating aura that towered over others was released, making people on and around the execution platform dare not move.

Today’s incident, if handled poorly, could cost lives, so no one dared to move.

Feng Qing had already reached the side of the female prisoner on the execution platform with Si Qi and Si Hua.

She looked at the female prisoner and slowly reached out to brush aside her messy black hair covering her face. Her face, beaten with blood marks, appeared stupefied as if drugged, showing no extra reactions.

Feng Qing raised her hand, and Si Qi immediately handed over a handkerchief.

Feng Qing carefully wiped away the wounds from the female prisoner’s face, removing the blood marks. Though her face was menacing, some of her original features could still be made out.

This female prisoner looks somewhat like Han Ziyan, and given the beating, others might not distinguish that she isn’t Han Ziyan. However, Feng Qing recognized her at a glance, because Han Ziyan had a black mole on her earlobe, which this person did not.

Once the thought occurred, Feng Qing turned to look towards Rong Ling outside the execution platform and said: ”Prince, this person is not from the Han Family; the Han Family has a black mole on her earlobe, which this person does not have.”

Feng Qing looked at the stupefied woman in front of her, secretly guessing her origins.

The people below the platform were in chaos, each exclaiming.

”Heavens, it’s actually not Han Ziyan.”

”Who swapped Han Ziyan?”

”I think that Vice Minister Wen previously obstructed the Prince from tidying up for Han Ziyan, evidently knowing the inside story. So Han Ziyan must be the one he swapped out.”

”Could it be that Vice Minister Wen found Han Ziyan beautiful and swapped a condemned prisoner for Han Ziyan, henceforth hiding the beauty in a golden house?”

Vice Minister Wen, watching the scene unfold, could no longer endure such stimulation. With a ’wah’ sound, he vomited a mouthful of blood, leaned back, and directly fainted.

As he fainted, he cried out: ”Heavens are going to doom me.”

Han Ziyan has already been swapped by the Little Emperor into the palace, and there is no way to get her out now. However, with this matter exposed, the Little Emperor will definitely put someone out to be the scapegoat. Unexpectedly, he has become the pitiful scapegoat.
