The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Begging the Prince for Grace

Feng Qing spoke, and Rong Ling turned his head to look at her, with a slight warmth flashing in his eyes for a moment, but he quickly responded lightly as usual.

”Hmm, let’s go back.”

As soon as he finished speaking, without waiting for Feng Qing’s assistance, he turned and walked towards the main house of the courtyard. Although his pace was slow, he was already able to walk some distance gradually.

Feng Qing kept up with his pace, hearing him speak word by word ahead, ”From now on, they shouldn’t even think about taking the slightest advantage from me, the Prince.”

His voice was exceptionally cold and fierce, causing Feng Qing’s eyebrows to twitch slightly. It seemed that the Capital City was going to be lively next. Empress Dowager Su, the Little Emperor, plus the Princely Heir and the court ministers, and now adding Rong Ling, haha.

Feng Qing had no interest in joining this lively spectacle, so it was better for her to quickly find a way to leave the Prince Yong Mansion.

Just as Feng Qing was thinking, she suddenly heard urgent footsteps behind her, accompanied by a slightly choked voice, ”Prince.”

Rong Ling and Feng Qing turned to look behind them, seeing Nan Feng approaching with Cai Shu.

Cai Shu knelt down with a thud, her expression sad and forlorn.

Feng Qing looked at this Cai Shu, utterly puzzled about what had happened to make her so sorrowful, as if the sky was about to collapse.

Though Cai Shu was once Rong Ling’s head maid, she was now a second-class maid at the Purple Bamboo Pavilion. Feng Qing couldn’t help but ask her, with a displeased expression, ”What’s happened?”

Cai Shu didn’t speak, her tear-filled eyes fixed on Rong Ling. On the side, Nan Feng explained to Feng Qing, ”In response to the Princess Consort, Cai Shu said her parents have found a match for her, and she has come to seek kindness, and also wishes to kowtow to the Prince.”

Feng Qing looked at Cai Shu in surprise. To be honest, among Rong Ling’s four head maids, Cai Shu was the most ambitious and the most eager to become Rong Ling’s concubine.

Now she was the first to ask to leave, Feng Qing found it unbelievable, but Cai Shu paid no attention to her, only gazing at Rong Ling beside Feng Qing.

”Prince, do you know whom my parents want me to marry? They want me to marry a forty-year-old widower, who is not only old but also abusive. It’s said he beat his first wife to death. Prince, I beg you to save me, let me serve by your side as a concubine. I don’t ask for any other status, just to be by your side to serve you.”

Cai Shu, after speaking, seemed to remember that this matter was under Feng Qing’s jurisdiction, so she turned and kowtowed to Feng Qing, pleading.

”Princess Consort, please let me be a concubine. I promise not to fight for anything with you, I only seek to serve the Prince by his side, nothing else.”

Feng Qing was exasperated. So, after all, she still wanted to be Rong Ling’s concubine, claiming not to ask for status. Today it’s not asking for a concubine role, tomorrow it won’t be asking for a concubine, and in the future?

But this wasn’t her business to manage. Feng Qing turned to Rong Ling, who was looking at her with deep, dark eyes, clearly indicating that he was leaving this matter to her to handle.

Feng Qing’s expression immediately soured. It was his own issue, what did it have to do with her?

Whether he cherished or not, it was up to him, didn’t concern her at all.

Once Feng Qing’s thought settled, she immediately looked up at the sky, clearly expressing that this was none of her business.
