The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: Maybe He’s Just Afraid She’ll Cause Trouble, So He Won’t Let Her Go Out to Play

Feng Qing fell asleep while pondering, and when she woke up again, Rong Ling had already returned. He was leaning on one side of the soft couch reading a book, while Si Qi and Si Hua were setting out the food they had brought.

Feng Qing lazily turned over and sat up to greet Rong Ling.

”The Prince is back.”

Having just woken up, her expression was somewhat tender and naive, and her words carried a soft, sticky tone.

Upon hearing this, Rong Ling’s hostility subsided a lot. His deep, dark eyes sparkled as he looked at Feng Qing, teasing her.

”You can really sleep. Quickly get up and eat.”

Feng Qing responded as she got up, walking towards the small table, and asked Rong Ling with concern, ”Did the Emperor call for you?”

Mentioning this topic, the atmosphere turned a bit cold. Rong Ling sneered indifferently, ”My nephew is concerned about me, saying I haven’t fully recovered and should not enter the inner area of the Hunting Ground, just wander around the outskirts.”

After he finished speaking, Rong Ling sneered repeatedly. Was he afraid that not entering the Hunting Ground would make it difficult to kill him? Going through all this roundabout effort, did he think everyone was as foolish as him?

In the tent, because of this topic, the atmosphere was a bit depressing. No one spoke for a while until they finished lunch, and then Feng Qing finally spoke.

”The hunting doesn’t start until tomorrow morning. Can I take two maids to wander around the foot of the mountain in the afternoon?”

Rong Ling did not stop her: ”Alright, I will have two guards follow you.”

Feng Qing secretly gritted her teeth. She wanted to find an opportunity to meet with Commander Han of the Five Cities Military Department. How could she talk with him if two guards from the Prince Mansion were following her?

But if she refused to have the guards follow her, she feared Rong Ling would become suspicious. So, Feng Qing did not object: ”Alright.”

When Feng Qing and her entourage left the tent in the afternoon, Rong Ling, not at ease, reminded her again: ”Remember not to go too far. If anything happens, let the guards help you.”

”Prince, I know.”

Feng Qing replied with a smile, causing Rong Ling to squint suspiciously again. How could this woman be so obedient today? It almost didn’t seem like her.

Seeing Rong Ling’s gaze, Feng Qing’s mouth twitched fiercely. What did this man mean? She couldn’t even be obedient and he was suspicious of her.

As she thought about it, Feng Qing cheerfully said, ”Prince, I’m heading out now.”

The joy on her brows and in her eyes was unmistakable. Rong Ling secretly shook his head, thinking maybe he was overthinking it. This woman was obedient and compliant just so she could have fun. She was probably afraid that if she upset him, he’d stop her from going out to play.

It made sense. Since she married into the Prince Yong Mansion, she hadn’t gone out much.

The doubts in Rong Ling’s heart faded. He waved his hand, and Feng Qing, along with Si Qi and Si Hua, left the tent.

It was only after leaving the tent that Feng Qing restrained the joy on her face.

Behind her, Si Qi and Si Hua hurriedly stepped forward to ask with concern, ”Princess Consort, what’s wrong?”

Feng Qing turned her head to look at Si Hua, remembering that she had promised this girl to take her away. But in the current situation, she couldn’t take her with her.

As Rong Ling showed no intention of letting her leave, she planned to fake her death to escape. If she took Si Hua with her, there’d be no way to escape. So, she had to apologize to this girl.

As Feng Qing considered this, she raised her hand and took off two golden bracelets from her wrist, placing them on Si Qi and Si Hua’s wrists, respectively.

This was also her way of thanking these two girls for taking care of her recently.

But at the moment, where could she find Commander Han of the Five Cities Military Department? Without surprise, that guy was currently busy protecting the Emperor and wouldn’t have time to wander around. Moreover, she needed to avoid others while meeting him.
