The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Autumn Hunt Event

As soon as Nan Feng left, Rong Che began to lose his temper, and the little eunuch serving him bore the brunt of his anger, receiving two kicks. Even so, his anger was not fully vented until he returned to Longqian Palace and smashed a few antiques.

Rong Che had just calmed down when a eunuch cautiously reported from outside the hall, ”Your Majesty, the Heir of Prince Su and the Heir of Prince Chu request an audience.”

The Little Emperor furrowed his brows, waved to the eunuch to clean up the fragments of antiques inside the hall, and then turned to the reporting eunuch and said, ”Summon them in.”

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

The eunuch went out and quickly led the Heir of Prince Su and the Heir of Prince Chu inside, where they respectfully saluted Rong Che upon entering.

”Greetings to the Emperor.”

Rong Che looked at Rong Yu and Rong Heng below, feeling that this was the attitude a subject should have, unlike Rong Ling, whom he regarded as a rebellious traitor.

The anger that Rong Che had suppressed flared up again.

Below the hall, when Rong Yu and Rong Heng didn’t immediately hear Rong Che’s words to rise, they exchanged a glance and spoke again, ”Rong Yu (Rong Heng) greets the Emperor.”

Rong Che came to his senses, repressed his anger, and looked at the two below, saying, ”Stand up, cousins.”

After allowing Rong Yu and Rong Heng to rise, Rong Che granted them seats, and once they were seated, he spoke warmly.

”I wonder why my two cousins have come to the palace?”

Rong Yu respectfully rose to respond, ”As the weather turns colder, it is the season when wild beasts appear in the forest. The game is particularly delicious at this time. I heard that the Imperial Family holds an autumn hunting event every year. I have stayed in Shengzhou and have never seen the Royal Hunting Ground, so I am very keen to know when this year’s autumn hunt will begin?”

Laughing, Rong Heng chimed in, ”Hunting is my favorite activity. Not only can I capture delicious game, but I can also showcase my prowess on horseback. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a good ride.”

Rong Yu chuckled at Rong Heng’s words, saying, ”You’re not afraid of the beasts in the forest, but people like us can only observe the scenery at the periphery of the hunting ground. If we dare venture into the inner area, we might end up dead or injured, losing a life is all too common.”

Rong Che, who was not particularly attentive at first, had a sudden realization at the end, his expression deepened and darkened.

Royal Hunting Ground? A fine place, where losing a life wouldn’t be unusual.

Rumor has it that Rong Ling is still unwell and unable to fight. What if?

The more Rong Che thought about it, the more excited he became, the hostility in his heart dissipated abruptly, and his expression softened somewhat. He looked at Rong Yu and Rong Heng below and said.

”I haven’t properly entertained you since you came to the Imperial City, so why not hold an autumn hunting event since you are interested in the Royal Hunting Ground.”

Rong Yu and Rong Heng quickly clasped their fists and expressed their thanks, ”Thank you, Emperor.”

Rong Che, in good spirits, laughed and said, ”Good, good, let’s sit down and talk.”

The three brothers chatted for a while longer, and after Rong Yu and Rong Heng left, Rong Che immediately issued a decree to hold the autumn hunt at the Royal Hunting Ground in three days.

The list of participants quickly circulated, including Prince Yong, Rong Ling.

When the eunuch delivered the list to Prince Yong Mansion, he particularly mentioned the Emperor’s instructions.

”The Emperor said Prince Yong is unwell, cannot ride or hunt, and should only stroll around the periphery.”
