The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 201: Chapter 201: I Don’t Think You Should Join the Hunt Anymore

Rong Ling finished speaking and picked up the ointment, heading towards Feng Qing.

Earlier, he didn’t move because he wanted to see what Feng Qing was up to. From what he knew of this woman, she wasn’t the reckless type, so why did she fall like this?

But after observing, he couldn’t find anything unusual with her. Maybe he was overthinking, and she just fell by accident.

Rong Ling walked up to Feng Qing with the ointment. Feng Qing quickly reached out to take it: ”Prince, I’ll do it myself.”

Unfortunately, Rong Ling held on to the ointment and didn’t let go. Instead, he gently said, ”Where are you hurt? Let me apply the medicine for you.”

His voice was warm and soft, with a hint of richness in it. Feng Qing was momentarily entranced, rare for her, and instinctively lifted her trouser leg, revealing a large bruise on her knee, indicating a severe fall.

Rong Ling looked at the bruise on her knee, his brow faintly furrowing. But considering her injury, he didn’t say anything, simply opened the ointment box, knelt down, and applied the medicine for her.

The tent was silent, filled with the fragrance of the medicine. Feng Qing looked at the man opposite, who was carefully applying medicine for her.

The man’s movements were gentle and meticulous, his gaze more focused and attentive.

With his strikingly beautiful appearance and gentle attention in applying the ointment, Feng Qing felt completely swept away.

For a moment, she even thought, why not stay and become a Princess Consort?

She had saved Rong Ling several times, surely he wouldn’t treat her poorly. Being Princess Yong would mean a lifetime of honor and favor.

But soon she scoffed at herself, thinking was she really going to do nothing for the rest of her life, just serve this man, occasionally bickering with concubines, and bear him some children? Just the thought made her shiver.

Her fleeting fantasies vanished in an instant, but although she had no such fantasies, she enjoyed Rong Ling’s service quite a bit. Receiving such attention from him was not an easy feat.

Especially when his gentle hands lightly massaged her knee, the warmth reduced the pain considerably, making her entire knee feel extremely comfortable.

Feng Qing couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh, and Rong Ling, applying the medicine, heard it and immediately asked with concern, ”What is it, does it hurt?”

His voice was deep and rich, filled with care.

Feng Qing shook her head, ”It feels really good.”

Rong Ling glanced at her and snorted coldly, ”Be more careful when you walk in the future, don’t fall so easily. Someone your age, still falling like this, injuring your knee; I’m not even sure if you can participate in tomorrow’s hunting event.”

Upon hearing Rong Ling’s words, Feng Qing’s expression subtly changed. She had done all this in order to seize the chance to escape during tomorrow’s hunting event. If she couldn’t participate tomorrow, how could she leave?

As she thought about it, she mumbled, ”Prince, this injury isn’t a big deal, it’s just some bruising. With the medicine applied now, I’ll be fine by tomorrow.”

The ointment Rong Ling brought was top-grade for promoting blood circulation and dissolving bruises, very effective for reducing swelling and bruising. Her injury looked scary, but it wasn’t serious.

However, Rong Ling didn’t lightly agree to Feng Qing’s assurance, only said flatly, ”You casually went out wandering and ended up with an injury like this. I don’t think you need to participate in tomorrow’s hunting event. If you do, who knows what kind of injury you might sustain.”

Feng Qing was anxious upon hearing this but couldn’t show it, so she only tugged at Rong Ling’s sleeve, saying, ”Wasn’t the Prince going to teach me how to ride a horse?”
