The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 152: Chapter 151: How Do Women Even Think?

Rong Ling looked at the beauty in front of him without the slightest interest and turned to leave.

He had strolled around and felt quite exhausted, so he planned to go back and rest.

But just as he turned, the woman who was initially about to pick osmanthus branches trembled and turned back, calling softly, ”Prince.”

Rong Ling stopped in his tracks, with a displeased look on his face, watching Han Ziyan, the concubine, walk over gracefully.

Han Ziyan felt extremely wronged and stifled in her heart; she never dreamed that entering Prince Yong Mansion would lead to such an outcome.

On the day she entered the mansion, there wasn’t even a banquet. The Prince not only didn’t consummate their marriage but didn’t even show up. Later, she caused a scene, and as a result, the Prince punished her by making her copy the Five Prohibitions fifty times daily. Han Ziyan would cry as she wrote every day.

She had become quite haggard recently, but hearing that Rong Ling was leaving the courtyard today, she dressed up carefully again. She hoped Rong Ling would relieve her punishment and treat her better.

Although Han Ziyan had lost weight, it didn’t diminish her beauty; instead, it made her appear even more delicate and pitiable, like a fragile flower battered by the wind, evoking one’s compassion.

Feng Qing watched with sympathy, but unfortunately, Rong Ling didn’t show much pity. He merely glanced at Han Ziyan lightly and said, ”Have today’s women’s commandments been copied?”

Han Ziyan’s face turned pale, her eyes filled with tears, and she choked out softly, ”Prince, what did I do wrong for you to treat me this way? I only admired the Prince and wanted to marry you. If the Prince truly dislikes me, you shouldn’t have agreed to let me join the mansion in the first place.”

”Having agreed to let me in, you shouldn’t ignore and neglect me, right?”

Han Ziyan started to sob, her red eyes looking up pitifully and helplessly at Rong Ling, ”Prince, please don’t treat me this way, okay?”

Feng Qing watched this scene and felt it was incredibly touching.

Oh, such a moving scene, who could refuse it? A beauty with tearful eyes, timidly and weakly saying to you, don’t treat me this way.

Feng Qing even felt like reaching out to hold her and comfort her gently.

Unfortunately, the nearby Rong Ling said calmly without a change in expression, ”You implored the Empress Dowager to issue a decree. How could I defy it?”

After speaking, he turned and left, tossing a cold remark, ”Go back, don’t come out without reason.”

Feng Qing had to quicken her steps to support him as they headed toward the Yijing Courtyard, but she didn’t forget to look back at the beauty behind them.

The beauty was so heartbroken she almost fainted. Feng Qing couldn’t help but turn her head to look at Rong Ling beside her and accuse, ”Prince, you’re really too cold-hearted. Even if you don’t like her, you shouldn’t be so cold and unfeeling. Look, you’ve made the beauty so upset she’s nearly fainting.”

Rong Ling sneered, glancing at Feng Qing, ”I thought you were smarter, but you’re just superficially clever.”

After a couple of sarcastic remarks, Rong Ling felt it necessary to teach his Little Princess, so he turned back to Feng Qing and said, ”It’s just an act.”

Feng Qing raised an eyebrow, her expression saying she knew it was an act, but even so, it was very touching, wasn’t it?

Rong Ling almost immediately understood the look in Feng Qing’s eyes and didn’t want to say another word. What kind of mindset do women have?

With their entourage, the two headed into the Yijing Courtyard, while Han Ziyan’s face slowly turned twisted and dark in the rear. She clenched her teeth and fists, trembling with rage.

She had shown her best side, yet Rong Ling not only ignored her but belittled her once again.
