Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”That’s the Extreme North White Fox’s Racial Skill, Frosty Winter Arrow!”

”Such a huge vine, frozen in an instant. That’s terrifying...”

”There’s more. Frosty Winter Arrow is a dual Ice and Spirit Skill. Getting hit by it doesn’t just cause a physical freeze, it also creates a sense of spiritual stagnation.”

”How is Shanda University Affiliated School fighting four-on-two? Instructor, isn’t that against the rules?!”

”WOOF! WOOF!”

Yu Bao also circled Ke Yan anxiously.

’Look at them! Do something!’

”Shanda University Affiliated School is not breaking the rules.”

Seeing Su Zhi also look over from the arena with a confused expression, Ke Yan said in a low voice, ”A doubles team match requires two Beast Tamers to fight, but it doesn’t require them to fight with only two Pet Beasts.

”As long as the Pet Beasts were stored in the Beast Taming Space before entering the stage, they can be brought out to fight. And apart from the first Pet Beast, the timing for summoning the others can be freely chosen.

”You almost never see this kind of move in international competitions, because the Pet Beast configurations and tactical prowess of High Tier Beast Tamers are mostly on the same level. If you hold back at the start, you might get taken out by the opponent right away.

”But in this match, the two sides’ Pet Beast lineups are actually asymmetrical. The team from Shanda University Affiliated School has contracted more Pet Beasts, giving them the leeway to summon more later.”

Ke Yan glanced meaningfully at the students behind him.

”As for this ’fairness’ you’re all always talking about... do you remember what I said this morning? There’s no such thing as absolute fairness, whether on the battlefield or off it.

”Both sides have two Beast Tamers fighting. The fact that the Shanda University Affiliated School team has contracted more Pet Beasts is a testament to their strength. What’s unfair about that?”

The onlooking students were all silenced.

In the arena, the previously balanced situation was rewritten in an instant. With Cyan and Snowball joining the battle, Xiaoyue and Shan Bao were immediately trapped and attacked from both sides.

”SWISH! SWISH!”

Cyan also activated Deep Forest Grip. Thick vines shot up from the ground, whistling as they struck toward Xiaoyue and Shan Bao.

Xiaoyue frowned and countered by activating its own Deep Forest Grip, but Snowball used Frosty Winter Arrow again to strike the vines, instantly freezing the ones Xiaoyue had summoned.

”CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!”

The frozen vines lost their flexibility, becoming more fragile and brittle. Cyan’s vines pressed the attack, instantly shattering all of the vines Xiaoyue had organized into pieces.

”BOOM!”

The sky-blotting vines descended, slamming heavily onto the arena floor.

Cyan raised an eyebrow, however. It could feel a distinct wrongness from its vines—the feeling of hitting nothing but air.

At the same time, a Golden Light flashed in the distance—at the last moment before being hit, Xiaoyue and Shan Bao activated Flash Gold Teleportation, successfully moving to a feather outside the encirclement and breaking through!

”Shan Bao! Target their Extreme North White Fox and use Golden Feather Flying Blade!”

”CHIRP! CHIRP!” Shan Bao immediately complied, and countless feathers rained down on Snowball.

’Annoying. The low-temperature freeze has no effect on these feathers...’ Snowball could only form an Ice Shield to block them. Fortunately, Shan Bao’s attack wasn’t very fierce, so it was easily blocked.

”Meeeooww!”

Xiaoyue activated Deep Forest Grip again. This time, the vines were covered in blooming dandelions. It was a magnificent and beautiful sight, yet it radiated killing intent.

Wood Element Middle Elite Skill, White Bulb Waltz!

”HISS!”

Seeing this, Fire Fist, which had just landed, immediately used Fireball Technique in a sweeping barrage, trying to nip Xiaoyue’s explosion in the bud.

At the same time, Snowball once again activated Frosty Winter Arrow, shooting at the vines that had grown dandelions.

’As long as I freeze the entire vine, even if I can’t stop the dandelions that have already detached, I can prevent new ones from forming!’

”SHHH—” The extreme cold arrived first, and the once vibrant vines instantly became incomparably rigid.

”WHOOSH!” Flames swept over them, and the frozen vines instantly turned into charred ash.

’Something’s wrong!’

Wang Haokun and his partner’s eyes both widened.

The instant before the two Pet Beasts’ attacks hit the vines, all the dandelions suddenly vanished in a flash of Golden Light.

At the same moment, Golden Light flashed next to Grey Gu, the support beast in the distance, and a large pile of dandelions appeared instantly.

Grey Gu: ”?”

”BOOM!!!”

Amidst the violent explosion, Grey Gu was sent flying out of the arena, unable to get back up.

Shanda University Affiliated School lost a Pet Beast first!

”Holy crap! Shan Bao is awesome! That attack route was insane!”

”I totally forgot Grey Gu was even on the field...”

”Grey Gu is actually really dangerous. It didn’t do much in this fight, but its strong winds can greatly boost Fire Fist’s flame attacks. Taking Grey Gu out will relieve a lot of pressure.”

”Awoo??” ”Hiss??” Snowball and Fire Fist stared at the blasted-away Grey Gu, completely bewildered.

”Meeoow!”

Cyan cried out loudly, telling its two underlings to fall back and defend. By now, Xiaoyue and Shan Bao had already launched their final assault.

A four-on-two was an extremely lopsided battle to begin with, not to mention the opposing lineup clearly countered their own. Taking out one Grey Gu was actually the limit of what Xiaoyue and Shan Bao could do.

’Since victory is unlikely, let’s wager our remaining fighting spirit and go all out!’

”SWISH SWISH—”

Cyan activated Deep Forest Grip, continuously summoning vines to block them; Xiaoyue also activated Deep Forest Grip at the same time, summoning vines to clash with Cyan’s.

The two green waves crashed into each other. The spacious arena became crammed with vines, suddenly feeling as crowded as a dense jungle.

’This attack... is aimed at Snowball!’

Fire Fist and Cyan had already completed their pincer movement. Xiaoyue simply abandoned any path of retreat, dropped its defenses, and lunged at Snowball in a do-or-die attack.

’He really wants to take me down with him!’

Snowball panicked and immediately launched a counterattack with Frosty Winter Arrow, holding nothing back.

’It’s just a match, Brother Mao, you don’t have to go this far!’
