Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”Woof.”

Master Yu snapped his fingers. The drawing was complete. The experienced Shao Ya pressed the shutter, and with a CLICK, the photo was taken.

Liu Yuhang and Katie leaned in for a closer look:

It had to be said, Yu Bao’s drawing was incredibly lifelike. Even though it was made of sand, it had captured ninety percent of the intended mood—the tranquility of the starry night and the churning of the ocean tide.

On the beach, the tall Liu Yuhang and the petite Katie stood together, with a full head’s difference in height.

The girl tilted her head, flashing a V-sign with a charming smile, one arm casually resting on Liu Yuhang’s shoulder. Liu Yuhang, face flushed red with shyness, stood frozen beside her, awkwardly raising his own hand into a stiff V-sign...

Katie clapped her hands in amazement. ”Wow, it’s so well drawn! You truly are Yu Bao the Wise One!”

Yu Bao lifted its chin proudly.

Liu Yuhang’s face, however, was beet red. ”This isn’t right at all! We weren’t touching or anything, so how come in the drawing she’s leaning on me? And why are our clothes a matching set?!”

”Woof,” Yu Bao replied, looking at Liu Yuhang with an expression of pure sincerity.

’This is just a bit of creative liberty, an essential part of art.’

’It’s a rather profound concept. You’re not as smart as me, after all, so it’s normal that you don’t understand.’

”But we definitely weren’t that close!”

Su Zhi stuck his hands in his pockets and twisted the knife. ”Well, Yu Bao is just a little earth dog. Even though it tried its best, it’s inevitable that some parts of the drawing aren’t perfectly accurate.”

”Heh heh.” Yu Bao nodded, its face a mask of earnestness.

’What bad intentions could a little dog possibly have?’

”...” Liu Yuhang fell silent, his face sinking into a scowl. ’Not perfectly accurate,’ my ass. That human and that dog were clearly ganging up on him.

’No, wait. It’s two dogs ganging up on me!’

”It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s a wonderful drawing~” Katie said, covering her mouth with a giggle, her eyes filled with the image of the boy’s awkward shyness.

’He wasn’t as dazzling as Su Zhi, but he had a legend all his own.’

”Well, we’ll be heading off now. We won’t disturb your ducky’s evolution.”

”Quack.”

”Ah, goodbye...” Liu Yuhang waved his hand woodenly. For a moment, he hoped she would stop and say ”Wait a second,” but this time, she didn’t.

Shaking off his thoughts, Liu Yuhang turned his gaze to the calm sea before him.

Xue Li had been staring out there for a long time—drawn by the instinct of every Hao Waterfowl: evolution.

”Go, Xue Li!”

Liu Yuhang leaned down with a smile and ruffled the little one’s head. ”I believe in you. No matter how dangerous the storm you face, I know you can do it!”

”Quack!” Xue Li nodded forcefully, then leaped into the water and swam out into the distance.

Before long, its small figure vanished completely into the vast expanse of the sea, leaving only gentle ripples on the water’s surface.

Beneath the deep sky, a massive, pale blue Light Array ignited—

”It’s starting!” The three of them held their breath, their attention focused.

The Hao Waterfowl’s Core Skill—Broken Waterfall Judgment!

Back during the city league tournament, Xue Li had already been able to summon a giant Water Cannon twenty meters in diameter.

But now, its caliber had more than doubled. Even from the distant beach, the blue Light Array exuded an immense, oppressive pressure.

In an instant, the Light Array became blindingly bright.

BOOM!

A gigantic pillar of water surged forth, slamming violently into the sea. The entire area of the ocean churned and trembled, the sea level even tilting slightly, as if the whole world were about to tip over and spill out all its water.

”Woof...” Yu Bao watched the scene, its eyes wide with shock. It felt that if it took a hit like that, it would probably die.

”Chirp?” Shan Bao tilted its head, thinking it probably wasn’t that serious.

”...” Yu Bao shot Shan Bao a sideways glance.

’When did Shan Bao become such a show-off?’

’It must have been that troublemaker Wu Bao’s bad influence. Yep.’

RUMBLE...

A sound like muffled thunder rolled from Xue Li’s position.

After Broken Waterfall Judgment was activated, the sea, far from returning to calm, began to roar and churn even more violently.

The Storm Strait had now officially awakened!

WHOOSH—

About a hundred paces in front of the trio, the sea surface, as if pulled up by an invisible force, suddenly surged into a colossal wave hundreds of meters high, instantly blotting out the stars and moonlight.

”Look out!”

Su Zhi subconsciously moved to stand in front of Shao Ya, but Yu Bao reacted even faster, directly summoning an enhanced Yellow Earth Wall that shielded all three of them.

BANG!

A few seconds later, the crashing wave slammed against the Yellow Earth Wall, the explosive roar deafening.

This was already Yu Bao’s strongest defense, yet it was still dwarfed by the colossal wave. One crack after another spread across the Yellow Earth Wall, and high-pressure streams of water shot through, drenching the three of them to the bone.

”Xue Li!”

Liu Yuhang scrambled to his feet in a panic, only to be pulled back by Su Zhi.

”Trust your Pet Beast!” Su Zhi said, looking him in the eye.

Liu Yuhang gritted his teeth and nodded.

Wave after wave crashed down. A storm raged on the distant sea, like something out of an apocalypse. A tiny duck was trapped in its midst, but even a massive ship would have been rendered helpless before such a tempest.

But... Xue Li could definitely do it!

Meanwhile, Yu Bao’s performance had also caught Su Zhi’s attention.

After the first Yellow Earth Wall was shattered by the wave, Yu Bao used its Perception of the Earth Element to identify the wall’s structural weaknesses against the immense pressure and immediately began to improve and reinforce its design.

Against Yu Bao’s on-the-fly ”Yellow Earth Wall 2.0: Flood-Control Limited Edition,” the subsequent waves could not break through its defense.

’Yu Bao’s doing great, too!’

Seeing the feedback on the Attribute Panel, Su Zhi couldn’t help but break into a smile.

The most bizarre sight of all, however, was Shan Bao.

Facing the roaring waves, Shan Bao was the only one standing outside the Yellow Earth Wall, its arms even spread wide to welcome the impact.
