Global Lords: I Have Information System

Marie has also heard about Zong Shen’s robbery of the goblins during these two days since she joined.

Now, Zong Shen happens to be away from the camp, and the subordinates who initially followed him into the mountains are also by his side.

So, Marie calculated and sent all the territorial defense troops up, leaving only the frontline combat squads and those warriors taken away by Zong Shen. Almost all the warriors in the territory went over.

This wasn’t the end. To add more confidence to the confrontation, Marie also informed Dutra, asking him to bring more than two hundred kobolds to the scene of the confrontation.

Those kobolds are much stronger than farmers, albeit slightly weaker than an ordinary Tier Two Warrior, yet they possess a certain combat strength. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to stand against the formidable Spider Web Monster Race in the mines for decades.

More than two hundred kobolds, under the leadership of Dogman Chief Dutra, rushed to Wenresa’s side and surrounded the goblins.

Some kobold Stone Throwers took out their catapults, the Dogman Prophet also raised his Magic Staff, and the kobold warriors on a fortuitous encounter drew their short knives, baring their teeth at the goblins.

The fine scales on their faces stood up, sending a signal of deterrence to the enemy.

Seeing this, the remaining five goblin airships descended one after another, with a considerable number of goblin warriors emerging from them.

There were four teams of goblin crossbowmen, totaling forty-eight, along with four teams of goblin warriors, a team of goblin spellcasters, and a team of giant unicorn ogres wielding wolf fang clubs.

These ogres, tall and towering, all tumbled out directly from the customized open-top cabins of one of the airships. The enclosed cabins of regular airships, being only just over three meters high, could not accommodate these ogres, who were over five meters tall. These hulking brutes exerted significant pressure on everyone present.

Both sides mobilized hundreds, even two to three hundred people. Such a large-scale confrontation could indeed be described as spectacular, with Zong Shen’s side having the upper hand in numbers due to a large number of kobolds joining, seemingly making them appear even more numerous.

Although Boswell knew what Zong Shen and those who accompanied him that day—Tasuya, Luna, and Korby—looked like, he didn’t recognize anyone else. Clearly, he was unaware of Zong Shen’s exact location.

The display of strength they showed was merely to express their determination to find someone; they definitely did not want any conflict to escalate here.

The atmosphere momentarily became tense, with Boswell scanning the arrival of everyone yet unable to spot Zong Shen and the others, suspecting they might be in the wrong place.

He looked at Wenresa, slightly bowing while atop her Grassland Horse, then turned and waved a hand to the goblin warriors behind him.

”Put away your weapons, this is all a misunderstanding!”

Upon hearing Boswell’s words, the goblin crossbowmen lowered their crossbows to the ground, the goblin warriors sheathed their short swords, and the ogres rested their wolf fang clubs on the ground, using their large hands to scratch at dense lice under their armpits. These ogres, possessing some wisdom, yet rough in demeanor, lacked any concept of etiquette.

Overall, these goblins, along with the ogres they brought, displayed a certain degree of discipline.

After witnessing the performance of the goblins behind him, Boswell nodded in satisfaction.

Then he took out a portrait from within his chest and unfolded it directly in front of Wenresa.

”Excuse me for disrupting you, esteemed one,”

”First, please allow me to introduce myself.”

”We are traveling merchants from the Thistle Teeth City Trading Company, under the Hot Sand Group.”

While introducing himself, Boswell pointed to the Thistle Teeth City Badge on his chest.

Wenresa remained silent, still gazing sternly at Boswell.

The goblins’ confrontation earlier was undeniably a provocation.

As an ancient hero, Wenresa knew very well how to naturally respond to such issues.

In this situation, conveying her offended fury appropriately was the correct and natural reaction.

As expected, Boswell didn’t mind Wenresa’s attitude at all.

On his face was a polite smile, albeit with his comically large nose, making his smile seem insincere and ill-intentioned.

”Recently, we had a batch of goods robbed in this area; we’re currently tracking down the suspects.”

”Have you seen this human male in the picture?”

He gestured at the portrait in his hand, which was a sketch of Zong Shen, bearing a decent resemblance with sixty to seventy percent similarity.

Wenresa glanced at it casually and just shook her head nonchalantly.

”I don’t know this human, but I do want to settle some accounts with you!”

She said sternly, shaking her shoulder to shift the [Horned Eagle Battle Bow] to her front, gripping it with one hand while swiftly drawing an arrow with the other, setting it on the string.

”Buzz!”

Wenresa drew the bow into a full moon shape, aiming at Boswell, the retracting and vibrating sound of the bowstring pulling back could be heard by all.

This immediately escalated the atmosphere into a tense standoff, metal clanging once more behind Boswell as both sides re-entered a stage of intense armed confrontation.

”Cough, cough...”

”We truly meant no offense, esteemed one...”

Wenresa, after all, was the renowned Windwalker Ranger, and a founder and Commander-in-Chief of the Silver Covenant Corps. Her aura gave Boswell a sense of pressure.
