Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 272: Chapter 248: He’s Still in the Box, Lion Skeleton Knight (8000 Today)

The task’s hint flashed by, speaking of which, he hadn’t taken on a task in ages.

This event appearing in the form of a system gave him quite a game-like feeling.

However, this time the task was very vague and also time-limited; this little wandering soul seemed to only manifest between 3 and 4 in the morning, the rest of the time it was in a state shackled by a curse.

At this moment, Tasuya walked over to Zong Shen’s side, holding Zong Shen’s arm in her chest.

”My lord, there might be something beneath the spot where it lingers.”

Seeing this, Aisha, standing outside the Burial Ground with certain resistance, snorted coldly.

”Hmph...”

Ignoring her distaste for the Undead Death Qi, she lifted her Priest Robe and came to Zong Shen’s side.

Grabbing Zong Shen’s other arm, she looked at Tasuya unwilling to be outdone.

”My lord, the death qi in a place like this is too heavy; you definitely need the radiance of the Holy Light.”

Zong Shen’s two arms were occupied by Tasuya and Aisha respectively, his arms felt as if they were sinking into clouds, so soft and unbelievable.

Not far away, Luna turned her head, glancing at the two mage girls at his sides, tilted her head slightly, and showed a mischievous smile at Zong Shen before turning her head back.

”Ahem...”

Zong Shen coughed a little; the emotional intelligence of these two mage girls wasn’t particularly high, and they didn’t consider where they were.

They could compete for affection in the quiet of the night when they came to his room!

Lord Zong definitely wouldn’t mind holding a fair trial for both sides, the undead and the Holy Light.

Zong Shen swallowed his saliva; now wasn’t the time for such matters. The time the wandering soul had left was over twenty minutes. They must hurry.

The area where the little wandering soul loitered wasn’t large nor small, spanning over a hundred square meters.

This silly little wandering soul was circling here instead of straightforwardly delivering the task like Otelan Yu Feng did.

Similarly being a wandering soul, this little guy was indeed not as straightforward as a demon hunter’s soul.

Zong Shen began to concentrate and gaze at that area, directly skipping the blind searching process, letting the strategy guide highlight the specific location; this cheat was not for nothing.

Immediately, a golden circle emerged at a position in the area, a massive arrow pointed directly to the ground, and simultaneously, a line of golden strategy hints leapt forth.

(Please dig here, excavate three meters down, there’s a ruin of an abandoned basement. The box that poor Little Jim is concerned about is in this basement. You must hurry up, otherwise, you’ll have to come back tomorrow. Without the guidance of the wandering soul, other events cannot be triggered.)

Good heavens, as Tasuya said, it’s about digging.

Zong Shen flipped his hand, pulling out five or six pickaxes and distributing them. He led the way to that location.

Although pickaxes aren’t as efficient as shovels, they’re better than nothing, right?

”Come quickly, everyone join me in digging the earth!”

”The box Little Wandering Soul is looking for is underneath this ground.”

Zong Shen held up a pickaxe and ran all the way to the designated spot marked by the golden circle.

The mining pickaxe in his hand began furiously hacking at the ground. Although it wasn’t very handy, with Zong Shen’s brute force, he turned into a human excavator in a flash.

Luna and the mages beside him also joined the digging line for survival, starting to dig along with Zong Shen with all their might.

A few mage girls rolled up their sleeves, holding the mining pickaxes and continually digging up the soil.

The process of excavation was quite arduous; there were too many remains in the Burial Ground, occasionally digging out a bone that had become hard beyond belief after eons of undead death qi’s baptism.

It took them a full five to six minutes to dig a little over two meters deep.

They excavated a cubic area of two meters by two meters by two meters.

Zong Shen’s arms had grown sore from swinging, aided by Luna and the mages around him.

They were now entirely conducting the excavation below the surface.

While Zong Shen was industriously digging, the ground beneath everyone began to tremble slightly.

The black and grey land underfoot began to crack, from the gaps, streaks of red light vaguely gleamed.

Their digging seemed to have disturbed some sleeping undead!

Good heavens, it just so happened to be in this spot.

Tasuya appeared to have discovered something, lightly tugging Zong Shen’s arm.

”My lord, we must quickly climb to the surface.”

”A big one is about to emerge.”

”I can feel a powerful necromantic energy beneath our feet, gradually awakening.”

Zong Shen, upon hearing her words, wasted no time in calling out and led everyone to climb back onto the surface from the excavation slope.

The tremors from below became more obvious, as the Burial Ground, alerting the undead made sense to Zong Shen.

This even included the Church Heretics in Odu Village, unwilling to spare any cost to excavate the Burial Ground and find the ruins of the Fear Demon King Bazanar, setting up magic arrays to suppress undead revival.

This was enough to prove that the number and strength of the undead in the Burial Ground were at an alarming level.

”Boom!”

The ground shook violently, and the entire layer of soil was forcibly turned over.

A tall knight riding a skeleton horse emerged in the place illuminated by the red light.

It grasped a heavy lance two-thirds broken in its hand.

Zong Shen noticed a lion emblem on the lance’s shaft, unblemished by the passage of time, emanating an aura of justice that was utterly at odds with the Skeleton Knight’s own essence.

The orbits of the Skeleton Knight swayed with two red soul fires, illuminating the land around it in red. It wore a set of tattered heavy armor with a bowl-sized penetrating breach at the chest and forward waist areas.

Its armguards were partly shattered, one was completely broken, leaving only half.

Zong Shen noted it seemed to wear a ring on its entirely skeletal fingers.

A layer of stone scale and soil scale coated the spot, but Zong Shen judged there should be a ring based on the position.

Under it was a majestic skeleton horse, colossal in size, even larger than those heretical giant power heavy draft horses, even as it lacked flesh and blood, its majesty was still palpable. This skeleton horse had two flared bone plates at the neck, below the head, resembling a dragon’s head slightly.

It could be imagined that this skeleton horse in its lifetime was undoubtedly an extraordinary alien thoroughbred.

The red glow shone in the Skeleton Knight’s eyes; it lightly tugged the reins, and the skeleton horse agilely sprang forward!

In a blink, it leaped over the over two-meter height from the pit to stand on the surface.

As undead, it instinctively abhorred and had the intent to slaughter any living creature.

An intense battle seemed inevitable!

The wraith of the night, Little Jim, had less than twenty minutes of existence left.

The little wraith was now standing by, wandering and staring blankly with a pensive expression.

The Skeleton Knight also tugged its reins and cautiously took two steps backward.

Currently, the atmosphere was eerie and left Zong Shen hesitating to make a move.

He gestured for everyone to hold still, as he began to inspect the attributes of this Skeleton Knight.
