Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 263: Chapter 244: Benefit Beldam, Level 3 City Lord’s Mansion (Today’s 12,000)

Zong Shen led the team toward the east of the territory.

It was a little past three in the afternoon, and they planned to start from the east, circle around the territory, killing their way to the Burrow Frontline, or use the territory as the center to hunt the nearby Burrow Monster Swarm.

Since the first day of the Burrow Challenge, Zong Shen has placed great emphasis on clearing the surrounding monsters, always doing it once or twice a day. One reason is to gain Points and Experience Value, and the other is to relieve the surrounding pressure.

Zong Shen did not want his territory to be overwhelmed by the Burrow Monster Swarm. Analyzing the quantity and refresh frequency of the Burrow and the number of Lords, as long as he maintained clearing and killing the surrounding swarms every day, the monster density in the surrounding area would become very low.

This would make the territory’s safety factor very high. This has been Zong Shen’s firm strategy from the beginning.

The muddy fields after the rain were difficult to traverse. Raven Saintess Shafuri led the team of Heretical Giant Power Knights to the north, leaving a trail of hoofprints stretching northward.

Every step of the heavy warhorse could trample out a deep footprint, making Zong Shen envious.

Currently, there are no proper Heavy Cavalry in the territory.

The Wolf Cavalry can only be considered as high-mobility Light-Armored Roving Cavalry. The Giant Wolf was agile and had superior Endurance, alongside certain combat abilities, making it a highly practical unit.

However, in Zong Shen’s heart, he still longed to have a Heavy Cavalry unit clad in Heavy Armor and armed with Lances or heavy Swords, similar to the Heretical Giant Power Knights of the Calamity Raven Church.

Of course, there was also Saintess Shafuri, filled with an exotic, mesmerizing allure. She seemed like a Heroic Level talent, and if he could bring them all under his command, wouldn’t that be wonderful?

But there’s no need to rush. When the Burrow Challenge ends and the Expeditionary Army of the Lentates Giant City arrives, it will be the best opportunity for Zong Shen to take advantage of the chaos.

There’s plenty of time in the future. As long as he develops well, there will be plenty of opportunities to gain benefits from these great forces.

Zong Shen looked at the hoofprints gradually fading into the distance and refocused on his target, leading his warriors to charge at the nearest Burrow Monster Swarm to the east.

Due to the low refresh rate of Ghostly Demonesses, there were no signs of Banshees in this Burrow Monster Swarm,

”Everyone, pay attention, let Favide and me finish them off first.”

Zong Shen loudly exclaimed, instructing everyone to be aware that they would finish the monsters off.

This would allow them to gather Slaughter Points and Extraction Value with the highest efficiency.

After Zong Shen’s instruction, everyone was cautious, only bringing the monsters to the brink of death, leaving the rest for Zong Shen and Favide to handle.

Under this intentional ’finishing blow’ strategy, they took down five swarms, each consisting of over a hundred Burrow Monsters, within an hour.

Zong Shen finally accumulated 1500 Extraction Value Points, gaining a 1-point Strength Attribute boost. Fully armed, Zong Shen’s Strength Value reached an astonishing 69 points, although a significant portion of the Attribute Points came from flamboyant Jewelry.

The strength feedbacked from the Extraction Value was a permanent buff, unlike Equipment, where the corresponding Attributes decrease once removed.

Favide’s Slaughter Value also increased significantly, and with two or three hundred more points, at this rate, he could summon another Two-headed Hellhound within two or three hours.

During this period, they also encountered two or three Ghostly Demonesses. Even without the Two-headed Hellhound, with Zong Shen’s Demon Deterrence and combined long-range focus fire, they could easily eliminate them.

Unfortunately, these Banshees were immune to Points because Favide’s Magic Damage was ineffective against them.

Zong Shen had also given Marie the [Hunting Crossbow], and although there were bows in his Personal Storage Grid, his Strong Bow Level wasn’t sufficient. The Standard Longbows left by the Dragon-kin Ranger Sisters required a Level 3 [Strong Bow].

This made him regretful, contemplating that after leveling up during this period, he had to add some [Strong Bow] skills, as the lack of long-range means was one of his current shortcomings, needing some strengthening in this area.

Zong Shen silently reflected, noting that one Banshee represented 125 Points and 125 Extraction Value.

Waste is shameful! To gather 1500 Extraction Value Points, he actually only needed to take down 12 Ghostly Demonesses. With that thought, Zong Shen couldn’t sit still. He had the team continue hunting with Favide, while he hurriedly returned to the territory.

The [Running] combined with the Agility boost made his Speed very fast. As soon as he returned to the territory, he headed straight to the [Market], where Marie seemed to be searching for something.

Zong Shen greeted her and rushfully opened the [Market], starting to search for a suitable Crossbow in the Weapon Equipment section. Finally, he spent 300 units of iron to purchase an Excellent-level Hand Crossbow with moderate Attributes.

Because [Crossbow] weapons only had Attribute requirements, with no additional skill requirements.

[Bow] weapons require a [Strong Bow] Level to be used.

Aside from a few repeating crossbows, most single-shot [Crossbows] and [Bows] mainly differed in fire rate; while a Light Crossbowman could shoot two bolts, Mapple and her sister could likely have fired five or six by that time.

This was the gap between the two, but Zong Shen didn’t mind. He wasn’t concerned with attack speed, as long as he could deal the finishing blow, since the Warriors would hold back and let him take the kill.

By market ratio, the crossbow he bought was roughly equivalent to spending 750 units of Basic Resources, which was essentially consistent with the current market price for Excellent-level Equipment.
