Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 278: Chapter 251: Burial Fortress, Treasure Chests Galore

The entire corridor was not completely intact; some sections had started to collapse.

On both sides were skeletal remains, and some walls were covered with cracks and marks left by magical attacks.

Obviously, there had been fierce battles in this Burial Fortress before.

The spirit guiding above Zong Shen’s head pointed towards the front, suggesting that the target required for the mission was likely in that hall.

”Is there anything worth exploring or any treasures along this path?”

Zong Shen routinely began asking the guide module. With the guide module’s help, a lot of exploration time and energy could be saved, going directly to the treasures according to the hints.

(57 meters behind, in the corner beside the blocked tunnel, there is a Silver Treasure Chest. The seventh room on the right side ahead has an Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest. Inside the side path of the eleventh room on the right, there’s a Black Iron Treasure Chest.

The third room on the left ahead has a nice weapon, and the sixteenth room on the left side ahead contains an Elf Key Fragment. In the twenty-first room on the left, there are three Dark Night Female Hunter Recruitment Scrolls seized by the Blood-Burning Demon back then.

In the hall ahead lies the site of Suturing Mage Gu Lanqi’s demise, leaving some peculiar alchemy materials and Alchemy Notes. As a confidant of Fear Demon King Balnaha, it also possesses a Demon King’s Secret Order. With this order, one can control a part of the authority belonging to the commander of the Blood-Burning Demon Region, especially useful in this Burial Ground. Trust me, you will need it soon.)

After reading the guide’s hints, Zong Shen felt a secret thrill, and the initial sense of oppression dissipated.

This Burial Fortress is indeed a treasure trove!

The presence of so many treasure chests indicates that this is also an important ruin point.

Following the hints, Zong Shen turned around and walked back; behind him was actually another tunnel. But it had been impacted and suffered a large collapse, seemingly causing the entire section behind to collapse.

This is why the path traveled earlier seemed to have a slightly lower area, obviously due to the tunnel collapse causing the ground to sink slightly.

Next to the collapsed and blocked passage behind him, behind a piece of stone debris, quietly lay a Silver Treasure Chest. The angle was very tricky, and without the guide’s hint, it wouldn’t have been seen unless specifically searched for at the back.

Since the drop rate rules adjusted, treasure chests have become coveted prizes for the Lords.

Because treasure chests can nearly yield any item, with a high chance of obtaining blueprints or finished recruitment scrolls.

Of course, the maximum quality of items opened from a chest is linked to the chest’s own quality.

A Black Iron Treasure Chest has the highest chance to yield Tier Two Items or Refined Level Items.

An Ancient Bronze Treasure Chest has the highest chance to yield Tier Three Items or Excellent Level Items.

A Silver Treasure Chest has the highest chance to yield Tier Four Items or Rare Level Items.

And so on, increasing incrementally.

As for the quantity and types, it’s purely a matter of luck; usually, if luck isn’t bad, there will be 5 to 7 different item rewards.

Compared to the arduous task of monster slaying and ruin scavenging, treasure chest rewards are the most solid and straightforward.

But treasure chests are usually found in significant ruins or hidden places guarded by monsters.

For most Lords, opening just one or two treasure chests from landing to now would be considered quite fortunate.

A small number of Lords still have no idea what a treasure chest looks like today, nor have they seen even a treasure chest’s hair, let alone like Zong Shen, who has opened more than a dozen treasure chests of various sizes since landing.

[Silver Treasure Chest]

[An unknown Silver Treasure Chest, no one knows what can be opened from it]

(The chest is fine and can be opened without worry)

Standalone treasure chests like this are mostly without issues, but piled-up treasure chests should be handled with care.

Most Lords have learned that when there are two or even three treasure chests together, there must be a trap treasure chest among them. And this trap treasure chest is likely the one with the highest quality.

These are lessons learned through blood and tears. As the power of the Lords increases, it is difficult for trap treasure chests below Silver Level to kill the Lords in one blow, at best causing severe injury. Therefore, this experience has been passed down.

Zong Shen looked at the Silver Treasure Chest and chose to open it directly.

The lid opened, and in the silvery white light, six differently colored reward light balls emerged.

[Silver Treasure Chest opened successfully]

[Silver Knight’s Battle Helmet (Purple) ×1]

[Tier Three Fire Mage Recruitment Scroll×2]

[Tier One Medical Clinic Construction Blueprint×1]

[Book: ”Introduction to Agriculture”]

[Tier Two Light Forged Armor Manufacturing Map (Blue) ×1]

[Tier One Crossbowman Training Manual×3]

Zong Shen put away all the items, especially the books and blueprints, placing them at the bottom of the chest. Such items that can’t be used immediately are all uniformly checked and handled upon returning to the territory.

In his hands, he only left two recruitment scrolls and a fully enclosed domed Knight’s Battle Helmet.

These are items that can be used on the spot.

Zong Shen looked at the helmet. It was a rare-level battle helmet, and it was a high-defense heavy helmet with a curved panel that could slide up and down to adjust the exposure of the face. During wear, this panel needs to be removed.

The top of the helmet had some angular rises, not smooth.

The eye area left two finger-wide slits while all other areas were covered and protected by the helmet.

Zong Shen flipped the helmet around for a while, then began checking the traits of this equipment.

[Silver Knight’s Battle Helmet (Purple)]

[Quality: Rare Level]

[Head Protection: 40]

[Durability: 400]

[Strength Requirement: 20]

[Skill: Radiant Headbutt lv15 (Use the Radiant Headbutt skill to attack the nearest target, causing 1.5 times the strength value in blunt damage, plus an additional 50 points of Holy Light damage. Each use decreases the helmet’s durability by 30 points and has a certain probability of causing dizziness. The skill has no cooldown, so use with caution.)]

(The Iron Head Tradition left by the Silver Knight Order is reflected in their helmets. Sometimes, in close combat, this move might unleash unexpected power with the Holy Light’s headbutt.)

This helmet was nice, providing 40 points of head armor, and also had a somewhat flashy headbutt skill.

Zong Shen could already imagine the scene of wearing this thing and headbutting enemies.

Yet, regardless of how it looks, this helmet was a rare-level piece of equipment, much better than the horned helmet he had been using up till then.

The horned helmet was something Zong Shen got from a treasure chest outside the Demon Hunter’s Temple, providing 19 points of head armor. Since it was easy to wear, and until now he hadn’t gotten a new helmet, he had been wearing it.

Now the horned helmet could retire with honor.

Zong Shen removed the horned helmet and stored it in his storage grid.

Next, he removed the panel from the [Silver Knight’s Battle Helmet] and donned it on his head.

He then slowly pulled the panel up, and the entire helmet closed tightly. His vision was drastically reduced, only able to see through the two finger-width slits.

Inside the helmet was a thick cushion made from various composite leathers, soft and comfortable, closely fitting to skin texture without any abrasion or bumps.

After wearing the [Silver Knight’s Battle Helmet], along with the mighty appearance of the [Tiroka’s Bear Armor], if he carried the [Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword], Zong Shen really presented the demeanor of a heavy armor warrior, looking quite imposing!
