Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 273: Chapter 249: Yulia’s Gratitude

Zong Shen was shocked; this was definitely the highest-level monster he had ever seen.

A Level 55 unknown undead, even its attributes couldn’t be seen!

Just like the day he saw the Dwarf Uncle, everything was marked with question marks.

The tier and attributes were completely invisible, but hints from a strategy guide indicated that this creature seemed to have a significant origin.

It belonged to a Knight Commander from over ten thousand years ago, and it wasn’t as frenzied as other resurrected undead.

Even as its body withered and it lost all memories, there was still a mysterious spiritual power converted into instinctive strength, lingering on its bones.

That was the so-called Knightly Spirit.

This spiritual power was helping to resist its killing instincts.

Zong Shen was momentarily unsure whether to fight or flee.

Tonight, he had brought Luna, Favide, Milani, Tasuya, and Aisha, these four mages.

If a real fight broke out, they might not be a match for this Skeleton Knight.

The level gap was too large, even if Zong Shen entered the Demon State, he wasn’t confident of victory.

Unless a large force was mobilized, or they took advantage of the terrain, facing a monster with such a level gap was definitely reckless.

As Zong Shen hesitated, Richardson the Lion Skeleton Knight was also conflicted on the spot.

After a while, the red flames in its eyes suddenly flared, causing the surrounding red shadows to flicker.

Richardson tugged the reins, turned its horse around, and galloped north, towards the continuous mountains, where no one knew its destination.

To the north, there were several mountain trails, and once through these hills, one could enter the lands of the Nord Kingdom.

Zong Shen and his companions did not stop Richardson’s departure; an undead of this level could walk unchallenged wherever it went, there was no need to block it.

After Richardson left, Zong Shen breathed a sigh of relief; fortunately, this undead lord showed a conscience, otherwise, a fight would have started, whether they could win was another matter, and tonight’s mission would surely be delayed.

Although a few minutes had been delayed, Little Wandering Soul Kim still had more than ten minutes of existence time.

Moving quickly, they should be able to dig out the hidden basement.

The box that Little Wandering Soul Kim kept mentioning was in the basement.

It’s unclear who or what is still in the box.

Time was limited, so Zong Shen didn’t plan to delay any further; grabbing his mining pickaxe, he jumped back into the large pit they had dug earlier, because Richardson the Lion Skeleton Knight’s emergence had loosened the soil, Zong Shen just needed to clear the loose soil.

This way, the efficiency of excavation improved significantly. Two minutes later, Zong Shen finally reached a wall made of stone bricks, and due to being buried underground for so long, it was covered in a thick layer of earth.

Zong Shen’s mining pickaxe wielded more forcefully, quickly breaking through the earth and chiseling open the stone wall until a large hole was made.

The sealed basement had been without oxygen for millennia; once the gap was opened, external air rushed in, and Zong Shen moved his body slightly to the side, taking out the [Magic Power Flashlight], switching it to the second light setting, and after the air had exchanged a bit, he approached the hole with the [Magic Power Flashlight] to illuminate the inside.

He estimated the height of the basement to be over two meters, and reassured, he jumped down.

He landed steadily on the ground, surrounded by fragments and soil debris left from previous excavations.

There were two rows of wooden shelves around him, holding some bottles, jars, and a box. Zong Shen stepped forward, and before he could touch the shelves, they collapsed due to the air currents raised by his movements.

With a clatter, the shelves fell into a heap; millennia of time had thoroughly rotted these items.

In the sealed environment, they might have retained their original appearance, but once the seal was broken, even a slight external airflow could bring them down.

In the corner of the basement was an extremely conspicuous large wooden box, locked from the outside.

A big shiny lock hung on it, and oddly enough, this wooden box was very new, with no signs of aging and hardly any dust or dirt, as if untouched by time.

While Zong Shen was observing, Tasuya also jumped down.

”Master, the Little Wandering Soul is gone!”

Zong Shen raised a finger, gesturing for silence, and pointed to the wooden box in the basement, where Little Wandering Soul Kim now stood.

It was staring blankly at the box, still muttering repeatedly.

”He’s still in the box...”

This time, Zong Shen asked directly.

”Who is still in the box?”

This time, Little Wandering Soul Kim responded; it paused, then spoke.

”Little Yulia is still in the box...”

”He is still waiting for us to find him...”

”But... it’s coming...”

Zong Shen narrowed his eyes. Little Yulia?

The name seemed somewhat familiar...

Little Wandering Soul Kim had also lost most of its memory, sustained by its most cherished obsession.

Zong Shen approached the wooden box, drew out the Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword, and gently tapped the box.

As expected, a mysterious power was at work, and the box showed no signs of decay.

Zong Shen wasted no more time, raising the Dragon-Slaying Heavy Sword to strike directly at the padlock on the wooden box.

”Crack!”

Under the heavy sword, nothing could stop its blade.
