Chapter 285: Chapter 255: Evil God’s Forgetter

Zong Shen’s authority among the Wolf Cavalry is very high, almost reaching the point of command and prohibition.

After receiving his order, all the Wolf Cavalry quickly disengaged from the battle.

They regrouped at the rear, with everyone having lost nearly a third of their Life Value.

The effect of the Rotting Poison Qi is indeed overbearing, being the sole skill of these Sewn Monsters.

Just smelling a whiff of this stinky poison gas is enough to make one feel nauseous.

Zong Shen took out a [Healing Guard] and directly planted it into the ground, restoring the Life Value of the Wolf Cavalry and removing the negative effects caused by the poison gas. All the Mages behind, including Doris, started chanting upon Zong Shen’s command.

Chanting the magic of Summon Fire Spirit, this powerful Tier 4 summoning skill requires a long chanting time. All those Sewn Monsters are immersed in the dark green poison gas, making them invisible.

They didn’t launch a pursuit either. Zong Shen put away the [Antitoxic Pill (Blue)], as those Sewn Monsters won’t be able to use Rotting Poison Qi a second time in a short period.

His Battle Helmet and Battle Armor now bore a scorched black mark from lightning; it was the Demon Lightning cast by Suturing Mage Gulanqi. At 100% pain sensation, getting electrocuted is no walk in the park!

It gave him a taste of the Thunder King’s joy.

On the other side, Aisha’s Holy Light Arrow and Tasuya’s Double Death Spirit Arrow were still persistently attacking.

Especially the Holy Light Priest Aisha, whose every attack deals double damage to the Undead Race. Every Holy Light Arrow inflicts 200+ damage value, and the Holy Light Shining causes severe damage to the Sewn Monsters’ bodies.

Half of the hall was enveloped by poison gas, making it impossible to see inside. Only the sound of Strong Strike Swordsmen’s chopping and fighting echoed in the hall.

Zong Shen and the Wolf Cavalry used the [Healing Guard] to restore Life Value and adjust their states. The Rotting Poison Qi not only decreases Life Value but also causes nausea, dizziness, and other negative effects, impacting melee Warriors significantly.

Just six or seven seconds after everyone retreated from the poison gas area, the three summoned Strong Strike Swordsmen suddenly fell silent, with the continuous sounds of fighting disappearing as well.

Moreover, the silence was abrupt; one moment was full of clashing sword sounds and flesh-tearing, and the next, it all vanished.

At this moment, Aisha chanted another Holy Light Arrow, shooting it directly into the gas, striking a target and bursting forth with brilliant Holy Light.

A terrifying and enormous figure partially emerged under the illumination of the Holy Light.

Then, the duration of the Rotting Poison Qi ended, beginning to fade and dissipate.

Everyone could finally glimpse the horrifying figure hidden beneath the poison gas.

Suturing Mage Gulanqi had disappeared, along with the three Strong Strike Swordsmen and more than half of the Sewn Monsters.

What remained were about a dozen Sewn Monsters and one gigantic, indescribable monster.

This monster stood four to five meters tall, with a bloated body, entirely purple, its surface uneven and covered with tightly shut eyes, which surrounded its body. At the top was its mouth, filled with tusks of varying lengths, resembling a malformed crater-like fleshy tumor.

Aside from this large tumor-like body, there were a dozen or so purple tentacles around it, also covered in spines, sliding on the ground and leaving slick trails.

Each tentacle was as thick as a man, also reaching four to five meters high, robust like a walking squid tentacle, moving around the deformed tumor body.

Suddenly, a tentacle approached a Sewn Monster and bent forcibly, inserting the sharp tip, like a needle and thread, into the Sewn Monster’s mouth, penetrating deep into its body.

That Sewn Monster hadn’t lost its vitality completely and continued waving its arms even as the tentacle pierced through and dragged it next to the tumor body.

The powerful tentacle lifted the Sewn Monster and fed it into the top of the tumor body, into the volcanic crater-like mouth filled with tusks.

The Sewn Monster was like a chunk of meat, swallowed whole, the mouth ceaselessly writhing like a meat grinder, devouring the Sewn Monster rapidly, shredding its flesh. Rotten meat and broken bones flew out, extremely nauseating.

”What is this monster?”

Zong Shen had never encountered such an ugly monster, looking evil, bizarre, and indescribable.

At this moment, Aisha seemed to realize something, stopping her casting, pointing toward the monster in shock.

”This... this is the Evil God’s Forgetter!”

”It’s an amalgamation of evil will, various corpses, resentments, death Qi, and many other malevolent factors. Legend has it that even the Evil God despises and loathes it, hence the name ’Evil God’s Forgetter’!”

As a Holy Light Priest, she once read about the Evil God’s Forgetter in an ancient document from her Holy Light Temple. The creature before them varied slightly from the depiction but was largely similar.

This kind of monster has no distinctions among races and isn’t specific to any world’s product; theoretically, it could appear in any world.
