Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 259: Chapter 242: Trouble on the Burrow Frontline, Ghostly Demoness

Shafuri was somewhat anxious; the hard-found clues must not be missed.

She was already convinced that the stolen secret cargo was most likely taken by those damned goblins.

She was contemplating how to make those damned goblins pay the price.

They tracked the tank tracks all the way, heading southwest...

...

On the other side, Zong Shen had already brought the warriors to the burrow frontline.

All the grassland horses were tied under the arrow towers, surveying the situation on the frontline.

At this moment, the burrow frontline seemed ordinary, as the warriors hid in the grass huts, avoiding the rain while aiming at the burrow’s respawn exit through the gaps, ready to attack at any time.

Wenresa was the same, but she was completely soaked by the rain, droplets dripping from her hooded robe and armor to the ground, clearly just having walked into the grass hut from the rain.

At this time, in front of the burrow entrance, the grass huts originally used as barriers outside the city walls had been destroyed, leaving only broken remains.

The durability value of the grass huts was low, and that they were destroyed was not surprising. Initially, Zong Shen built these grass huts just as cheap obstacles; not only could they delay the burrow monsters’ offensive, but also provide a place for frontline warriors to rest.

So far, this was the first time that the front-line position had the grass huts destroyed.

This indicated that the pressure on the frontline had indeed increased significantly.

This rain was persistent and had been pouring steadily for over ten minutes, showing no signs of weakening.

The sound of rain hitting Zong Shen’s horned helmet echoed in his ears, ”ding ding dong dong”.

Wenresa saw Zong Shen bring reinforcements and quickly stepped out of the grass hut to greet him.

”Sir, you are here!”

She saluted Zong Shen, a rare somber expression on her face.

This indicated that the new monsters emerging from the burrow were indeed tricky.

Zong Shen nodded and led the way into a grass hut, while instructing the exploration squad’s warriors to take shelter in the nearby vacant grass huts.

Given their constitution, although getting wet wouldn’t make them sick, staying in the rain continuously would still feel very uncomfortable.

Once inside the grass hut, Zong Shen began to seriously inquire with Wenresa.

”Speak, what exactly is this monster that’s causing you some trouble?”

”I’m quite curious about how strong this monster must be given your experience and combat capabilities find it difficult to handle.”

Zong Shen asked with a smile; Wenresa’s loyalty to him had already become quite high, so their interactions became much more relaxed, unlike the previous serious and rigid exchanges.

Upon hearing this, Wenresa pondered in silence for a few seconds before raising her head to look directly into Zong Shen’s eyes, slowly explaining the events.

”Just over twenty minutes ago, right before the rain was about to begin.”

”The burrow started to glow red, and after the red light, it began to spawn a new batch of monsters.”

”Among these monsters, there was a banshee.”

”This was a commander-level banshee, powerful, and able to withstand a portion of physical damage.”

”It was also immune to magic attacks, any magic damage it suffered would be absorbed.”

”Besides these traits, the banshee had a terrifying skill.”

”It could transform into a ghostly form and occupy a warrior’s body.”

”As long as it occupied the body for five minutes, it would permanently gain control over it.”

Wenresa recounted with lingering fear, clearly, the appearance of the banshee had unexpectedly caused quite a bit of trouble on the burrow frontline.

”And how did you finally deal with it?”

Zong Shen curiously asked, considering the characteristics of this new burrow monster, it was indeed troublesome, and he was quite curious about how Wenresa and her team resolved it in the end.

Wenresa remained silent for a while after hearing the question, then after organizing her words, she continued to add.

”It occupied the body of the mad axe warrior Rudnev...”

”We were forced to attack Rudnev.”

”As long as the life value of the host it occupied dropped below half, or if severe injuries occurred, the banshee would also suffer the same injuries and damage and immediately exit the occupied state.”

”At this moment, the banshee is easiest to kill, you only need to focus your fire on it in time to eliminate it.”

Upon hearing Wenresa’s words, Zong Shen couldn’t help but frown.

This meant that this creature was indeed hard to deal with, able to occupy an ally’s body, and if unattended, it would completely possess it after five minutes.

Unless there was a ranged magic exorcism, the most effective method was to attack the ally, reducing its life value to below 50%, which is basically an ’injure the enemy by a thousand, self-damage by eight hundred’ kind of strategy.

”How is Rudnev?”

”Is he seriously injured?”

Zong Shen asked with concern, as there was only one mad axe warrior in the territory, assigned to Wenresa’s combat squad, every professional soldier was his precious asset, Zong Shen didn’t want anything to happen to Rudnev.

”We didn’t target his vital points.”

”He has already been fed the Moon God Spring Water, and his injuries are in recovery.”

Wenresa reported honestly, so Zong Shen was relieved.

It had been over twenty minutes since the last ghostly demoness respawn.

There had not been a second respawn yet.

Now, it was necessary to evaluate the threat level of the banshee based on its respawn frequency.
