Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 261: Chapter 243: One Thing Subdues Another; They’re Heading North

After reading the attributes of this Ghostly Demoness, Zong Shen had a general understanding of it.

The most powerful trait of this Ghostly Demoness, aside from its Possession skill, was its Elemental Magic Immunity.

Although the banshee had no Armor Value, all physical damage it received would be greatly reduced.

The only flaw was during the possession moment, when both the banshee and its target couldn’t move for 5 seconds, and during this period, the damage received by the banshee would be amplified. This is the best opportunity to output damage. Additionally, expelling it within 5 minutes after possession provides another chance to kill it.

However, if possible, it’s best not to let this guy possess allies. Therefore, the output time is only those 5 seconds. The best strategy is to continue reinforcing the front line, striving to focus fire on it during the 5-second possession time, using the damage amplification effect to take down its 1000 life value in one go. This is the best strategy.

At this time, this batch of Burrow Monsters had just spawned, and the warriors’ ranged attacks all targeted it. Countless arrows and crossbow arrows pierced the body of the banshee, causing it various amounts of damage and making its pale blue body gradually fade.

Various magic attacks flew towards the surrounding zombies. With the addition of the Exploration Squad warriors, the front line’s output firepower greatly increased, and immediately overwhelmed the Ghostly Demoness.

However, relying on its high physical immunity, the banshee quickly responded, drifting its body outward. Its possession skill also required an appropriate casting distance; if the distance was too far, it couldn’t lock onto a target at all.

All warriors, under Zong Shen’s command, retreated behind the grass hut, leaving only Wenresa and Zong Shen in the front line’s grass hut area.

Watching the banshee crazily pounce forward amidst various attacks, Zong Shen’s lips curled into a smile.

Suddenly activating Demon Deterrence, a powerful evil aura swept out.

This originally aggressive Ghostly Demoness was instantly frightened, stopping its floating and retreating continuously.

The deterrence of the Demon had a great oppressive feel to these dark Burrow Monsters and the Undead Race’s undead monsters. It was a deep-rooted fear coming from the soul.

While the Ghostly Demoness was slowly retreating, the Two-headed Hellhound behind Favide suddenly pounced, its two heads frantically tearing at the banshee, bursts of Chaos Damage bursting forth, each bite taking away a big chunk of the banshee’s pale blue body.

The banshee cried out repeatedly, yet was helpless. To Zong Shen’s surprise, the banshee didn’t use the possession skill on the Two-headed Hellhound.

Could it be that the banshee cannot possess the bodies of the Hell Race?

Zong Shen was a bit puzzled, and golden strategy tips appeared.

(Indeed, the Ghostly Demoness cannot possess the bodies of the Undead Race, undead, Hell Race, Abyss Race, or Demon Race.)

Sure enough, under the suppression of the Two-headed Hellhound, the Ghostly Demoness was quickly annihilated by focused fire.

As long as the Two-headed Hellhound remains at the front line, it is enough to deal with the banshee spawning in this burrow.

It’s what they call using something to counter another thing, employing the Hell Race to deal with the Undead Race undead.

Of course, it can be anticipated that in the future, wandering monster groups around will surely see the figure of a Ghostly Demoness.

So, it’s essential to bring Favide along to farm monsters efficiently, quickly summoning more Two-headed Hellhounds to aptly address the potential banshee crisis in the future.

After the banshee was eliminated, it transformed into a blue smoke and disappeared, leaving behind a pale blue orb, its purpose unknown.

Each banshee was worth a full 125 points, and if Zong Shen or Favide killed it, they could obtain 125 Slaughter Points or Extraction Value. However, since the banshee was immune to Elemental Magic and had the annoying possession skill, both Zong Shen and Favide found it hard to land the finishing blow.

Having dealt with this Ghostly Demoness, Zong Shen quickly stepped forward to pick up the pale blue orb.

Since the drop rate had decreased, he hadn’t seen wild creatures drop anything for a while.

He was curious to see what the Ghostly Demoness would drop for him.

[Soul Pearl of the Banshee (Blue)]

[Quality: Excellent Level]

[The Soul Pearl of the Ghostly Demoness, capable of enhancing the soul strength of the Undead Race or the undead.]

[Effect: Wisdom +2, Life Value +50]

[Usable only by Undead Race units]

[Usage Limit per Unit: 3]

(For the Undead Race and undead, this is an excellent permanent buff item that strengthens the soul strength of the undead, making the weak undead or ghost more solid and strong.)

The Soul Pearl of the Banshee felt cool in hand, with a vague pale blue phantom leaping inside.

It was a kind of enhancement item, but only effective for undead and Undead Race, having no use for Zong Shen. Despite having three Burrowing Demons in the territory, they belong to Burrow Creatures and are essentially a form of living creatures, not meeting the usage requirements for the [Soul Pearl of the Banshee].

Yet, this was the only gain after killing the banshee. Zong Shen kept it away, storing it away as a backup.

After confirming that the Two-headed Hellhound could counter the Ghostly Demoness, Zong Shen instructed Favide to keep the Two-headed Dog at the front line. Even if it might struggle with overly complex tasks on its own, it could definitely hold the line against the Ghostly Demoness.
