I Return From Hell

Chapter 130: Chapter 123: Xia Yu’s Ruthlessness

In the chaos.

”WHOOSH.”

A black-collared starling descended from the sky.

Like a sharp arrow.

It shot straight for the head of the mother holding the child.

With its long, black, sharp beak and astonishing speed, one peck would be enough to pierce the hardest skull.

It was sure to pierce her skull!

”Ah!”

The mother, ever-vigilant of her surroundings, instantly noticed the threat from above. She jerked her head back and thrust the baby boy in her arms over her head.

She was actually trying to use her own son’s life to save her own!

Xia Yu’s gaze hardened, a cold light flashing in her eyes. With a flick of her wrist, the sharp Blood Butterfly precisely and swiftly decapitated the black-collared starling.

She then caught the child.

”Hold him.”

She handed the baby boy to Little Ai.

”Huh?”

Little Ai froze for a moment, then reflexively took the baby.

Miraculously,

once the baby was in Little Ai’s arms, he stopped crying and fussing, becoming much more docile.

”This...”

Little Ai was stunned once again.

Xia Yu, however, stared coldly at the woman and said, ”You are not the child’s mother.”

”I... I...”

The middle-aged woman’s eyes darted away, terrified that Xia Yu would shoot her. She scrambled to the rear of the vehicle.

She was, indeed, not the child’s mother.

Earlier, she had been shoved to the edge of the crowd and was about to become food for the monsters. Then she saw a mother lying in a pool of blood, a baby boy still nursing at her breast.

A plan had instantly formed in her mind. She brutally tore the baby boy from his mother’s arms and pretended to be a helpless mother, hoping to earn Xia Yu’s pity.

It had to be said, she had succeeded.

”THUMP.”

Xia Yu flicked her wrist back, and a dagger shot out, burying itself in the woman’s back, right where her heart was.

Ugh.

The middle-aged woman trembled, her eyes wide with venomous hatred. ”You... you... Even as a ghost, I won’t let you go...”

With a THUD, she collapsed to the ground.

Dead.

And with that,

besides Xie Shaokun and Little Flower, there were no living people left outside the vehicle.

No.

There were still two people under the vehicle.

One was Snake Man, the other was Chen Hang.

Meanwhile, the number of Mutants and Mutated Beasts in the area had also plummeted. Only 11 Mutants and 22 Mutated Beasts remained!

”BANG!”

...

The submachine gun in Xia Yu’s hands ran out of bullets.

She threw it directly at the Mutants and Mutated Beasts, pulled out her pistol, and fired in rapid succession. Coordinating with Xie Shaokun and Little Flower, she wiped out the last 11 Mutants and killed another three Mutated Beasts.

After that,

aside from the long gun in Little Nannan’s hands and the pistol at her waist, the group had no more ammunition.

”Get in the car.”

Xia Yu barked, sliding into the driver’s seat.

”WHOOSH.”

The already exhausted and battered Xie Shaokun dove into the passenger seat.

Little Flower got into the back seat.

”VROOOM.”

The next moment, the idling vehicle shot forward like an untethered wild horse, roaring as it slammed into a wild rabbit ahead.

Knocked down!

Run over!

Left on the brink of death!

Hearing the engine’s roar, the other Mutated Beasts saw the rabbit twitching incessantly on the ground and halted, not daring to charge forward immediately.

This gave the SUV a chance to pick up speed.

By the time they thought to block it again...

”THUD!”

”THUD.”

...

They were all sent flying.

Without even being run over, their bones shattered and their bodies broke apart, their combat effectiveness plummeting.

”AHHH!”

Snake Man, who had been hiding under the vehicle, was particularly unlucky. His foot was crushed when the car started, and he screamed in agony. His clothes also got caught, and so...

the scene before them unfolded: the vehicle was dragging his body along.

The pain of his limbs scraping against the ground made him scream continuously.

Chen Hang was luckier; he managed to avoid the car’s four wheels. However, to avoid being left behind, he grabbed onto Snake Man’s arm.

And so, he too was dragged along.

The screams were endless.

Xia Yu acted as if she heard nothing.

She didn’t let up on the gas.

”ROAR.”

The Red-eyed Mutant Beast lurking in the shadows had been constantly observing, looking for a chance to strike. It had thought its opportunity had come when it saw Xia Yu run out of bullets, but then it saw the multi-ton SUV sending Mutated Beasts flying. It immediately halted its attack and instead roared, ordering the other Mutated Beasts to continue their assault.

”Hold on tight!”

Xia Yu wasn’t afraid of the Mutated Beasts’ attacks at all; in fact, she hoped they would charge so she could run them down one by one. But when she saw a hedgehog in her rearview mirror, her expression changed.

Xie Shaokun and Little Flower immediately grabbed the handles above their heads.

At the same time, Little Flower used her other hand to hold down Little Nannan.

As for Little Ai... she was a beat too slow to react.

”SWISH.”

The hedgehog’s quills shot out in a volley, aimed straight for the tires!

”BANG!”

Immediately after, a loud bang echoed through the area.

The front of the car skewed for a moment before righting itself, narrowly avoiding a large tree at the side of the road. It finally came to a steady stop in front of a pond.

”We’ve got a flat tire!”

Xia Yu’s expression was grim.

Watching the charging Mutated Beasts behind them, she gripped her Blood Butterfly and pushed the door open to get out. ”Xie Shaokun, Little Flower, you two stay here and protect Little Nannan. Don’t get out of the car.”

”Yes.”

Xie Shaokun and Little Flower responded in unison.

Beside them, Little Ai was lucky to have been wearing her seatbelt; otherwise, the child in her arms would have definitely been harmed.

Right now, the belt was constricting her chest, making it hard to breathe. Her stomach was churning violently, and she felt the urge to vomit but couldn’t. She was in no condition to observe her surroundings, let alone speak.

She needed a moment to recover.

”Help... help me...”

Just as Xia Yu got out of the car, she heard a faint cry for help from underneath it as a blood-covered hand reached out.

”Ouch.”

At the rear of the vehicle, Chen Hang was groaning in agony. He struggled to get up, but the moment he saw Xia Yu, he decisively shut his mouth.

’They’re not dead yet?’

Xia Yu clearly hadn’t expected these two to be so resilient, but that had nothing to do with her.

”Kill!”

She retracted her gaze and began to accelerate, charging toward the onrushing horde of Mutated Beasts.

One hundred meters.

Fifty meters.

...

Just as the distance between them closed to within ten meters.

”WHOOSH.”

...

Three Yin Bee Stingers suddenly appeared in Xia Yu’s left palm. She flung them forcefully, and they became hidden weapons, flying with extreme speed and precision to embed themselves in the heads of three Mutated Beasts.

The three high-speed Mutated Beasts died on the spot, their heads slamming into the ground. Their bodies tumbled and slid for more than ten meters before coming to a stop.

”HUP.”

Xia Yu’s footwork shifted, and she easily sliced open the head of the Mutated Beast directly in front of her.

She killed four Mutated Beasts in a single exchange!

The terror of her combat prowess far surpassed that of Little Flower and Xie Shaokun.

”ROAR.”

...

The other Mutated Beasts did not halt their attack.

”ROAR.”

Not only that, but the three Red-eyed Mutant Beasts lurking in the shadows all emerged.

They charged from three different directions.

The bloody battle had begun.

Meanwhile, the hedgehog responsible for the flat tire was secretly approaching the SUV...
