The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After their short confrontation in the park, Ilya decides to join Kaito and continue their walk together in Fuyuki City.

While on it, Kaito also told Ilya the truth about the misunderstanding she had against her own adopted brother.

Due to the lie told by her grandfather, Ilya believed that her father, Kiritsugu Emiya abandoned her in the Einzbern mansion because he preferred to live with her adopted brother.

The truth is, Kiritsugu Emiya tried to take Ilya several times but was always blocked by her grandfather and all the Einzbern androids.

Since he lost in the 4th Holy Grail war, Einzbern has become hostile to him, thus blocking Emiya even from visiting his own daughter.

Unfortunately, the injury he received from the 4th holy grail weakened Kiritsugu, making it impossible for him to break through the Einzbern defense at all.

...

”I see... So, my ad tried to meet me, but Grandpa stopped him.”

Ilya muttered sadly while walking, knowing well how her family behaved, ”How did you know this, big brother? You are not trying to fool me, right, big brother?”

”You can trust me Ilya-chan.” Kaito stepped behind her, and rubbed her hair, ”I don’t have any ill intention toward you, and I do want to save you.”

Even though the optional task tells him to save Ilya, Kaito would still do the same thing even without the task. As someone who has lived alone since childhood, Kaito can sympathize with Ilya, who now has a family (chat group), and wants her to become part of the family.

Not to mention she also looks cute, and Kaito admits he is fond of her.

As for Ilya shpuld living with Shirou? Kaito just gonna make sure Sakura will stay with him after saving her life.

...

”I see... Thank you for telling me this, big brother.”

”You’re welcome.” Kaito continued to rub her hair and then promised, ”If I still have time after this holy grail war, I promise to solve that family situation for you.”

Anyway, his final goal in this holy grail war is to become one of the magicians (get the third method), following the dream of the Einzbern family. If he succeeds in becoming a third-method magician and adopts Ilya as his sister, the dream of the Einzbern family is pretty much granted, and all their wealth will also belong to Kaito.

Aside from that, Kaito admits that he also wants to get Ilya’s companion androids, Sella and Leysritt to become Sakuya’s subordinates later. Although Sakuya can do all the work herself, Kaito honestly feels bad, because as the headmaid in the chat group, she doesn’t have any subordinates maid at all.

...

Hearing Kaito’s promise, Ilya couldn’t help but feel happy and warm. She couldn’t help but blushed and asked with excitement, ”Big brother, you went this far to help me... do you like me?”

*Cough*

Hearing Ilya’s question, Kaito immediately coughed in shock and panic. Saber and Est who were busy eating also stopped eating and also started to be suspicious, waiting for what answer Kaito would give.

”I do like you... But as a sister.” Kaito, who knew this question was a trap, answered carefully and added, ”My reason is because I want you to make friends with Est.”

”Sure!” Ilya nodded happily and then walked beside Est while trying to introduce herself.

Fortunately, Ilya doesn’t mind following Kaito’s wishes, since she also wants to be friends with Est, because Ilya herself also feels lonely. In addition, as a Magus, she is very curious about the existence of humanoid weapons and their similar appearance (flat chest and white hair) gives the impression that they are like sisters.

Other than himself, Kaito knew that Est didn’t have any friends of the same age that she could play with in the chat group. Nanoha and Fate could play with her, but they were also busy in their world.

Therefore, Kaito planned to invite Ilya to the chat group world after this task was completed, so that she could be Est’s playmate when Kaito was busy with his duties as the chat group owner. He knows that in the near future, as the owner, he will be very busy, especially when the base world is later connected to multiple worlds.

After walking around for a while together, it was time for lunch and they decided to eat at an expensive restaurant with a private room. In addition to preventing their sensitive topic from being heard by others, this also prevented people from seeing the 2 gluttons in their group. (Est and Saber)

While watching the 2 people in front of them eat heartily, Kaito who remembered the reason behind their ’confrontation’ this morning then called Ilya, ”Speaking of which, Ilya-chan. I just remember something... You don’t mind if I ask a few questions?”

”Sure, Big Brother.”

”Can I ask you why you are out of walking today? Honestly, my future vision told me that you are supposed to come out at night.” Kaito scratched his head in confusion, ”I have been thinking this whole day, so I hope you answer my question honestly, Ilya-chan.”

”Ah, about that...” Ilya nodded and explained, ”That’s because the priest told me that I would meet someone interesting if I decided to wander on the street today...”

”And he wasn’t lying! Because I met you, Big Brother!”

”...I see.”

Hearing Ilya answer, Kaito can’t help but frown. So it was also Kirei who told her to go outside today, but how Kirei does know that he would go outside today, and how Kirei was sure he was going to meet Ilya on the street?

Coincidence? That’s too many coincidences that align together to be true.

Immediately, Kaito comes out with 2 possibilities about the reason behind his act.

First, Kirei can predict the actual future... not fake like him. However, Kaito immediately denies this theory since in original Kirei does not have this ability at all. Besides, if he does have the ability to predict to future, Kirei probably done much worse instead of just taking Lancer as his servant like in the original.

Second, somehow Kirei got information about his future vision talk last night without him realizing it, and then with his bad taste in messing with people, Kirei told Ilya to wander in Fuyuki city the next day. But this theory also has a lot of flaws, because even if Ilya wanders in the city, there is only a very small chance their encounter happened in the city.

Kaito was also sure there was no one listening to their talk last night, as he scanned the surrounding area with Haki. Only the assassin class might get through his detection, but Kaito knows Kirei does not own an assassin in this holy grail war either.

”I have to find out what happened at the church.”

With too many questions, Kaito decided to visit the church and find out how Kirei knew all this. To anticipate the worst, Kaito then used a clone to split himself-- and gave it a little more energy so that his clone would last longer.

”Big brother?”

”Master?”

”Kaito?”

Seeing another Kaito appear behind him, Est, Ilya, and Saber were surprised because they didn’t know he had this ability. After telling his clone to go to the church, Kaito looked back at them and explained, ”I can multiply myself, and I was curious about how Kirei knew we would be walking today and meeting together.”

”Something is clearly not right with this holy grail, so I decided to go to the church to find out”

”The church... the mediator of the holy grail war?” Saber asked in surprise, ”Do I need to go there too? Because Shirou and I are also participants in the holy grail war.”

Hearing Kaito’s answer, Saber who also knew about the situation regarding the future also felt strange and offered to help find out what happened.

However, Kaito rejected her suggestion and explained ”Not yet, wait for the clone to return with information because the church is too strange...” Kaito shook his head and stated, ”Besides, Shirou and Rin’s situation is more important, and I have a feeling they will call us later.”

Considering the situation so far, Kaito had a feeling that Shirou and Rin were going to confront serious Rider alongside Shinji earlier than the plot-- as there is no way Shirou, the good protagonist can ignore what his classmate doing.

Fortunately, the plot was already messed up and he doesn’t want to follow the plot closely anymore, so if Rin asked for help-- He wouldn’t mind obliterating that bastard Shinji under 1 minute.

...

”Anyway, It’s better if we wait here while eating, you can add as much food as you want. I’ll pay, don’t worry.” Kaito suggested.

””Okay!””

Hearing Kaito’s suggestion to wait here, Saber and Est who wanted to enjoy as much food as they could agreed to stay here and follow Kaito’s instructions. As for Ilya, even though Ilya doesn’t like to eat, she is also willing to follow Kaito’s wishes, because Ilya has started to trust him.

Luckily, money wasn’t something Kaito was worried about so he was able to treat everyone to a meal together.

>>>>>

While Kaito (original) and the others continued their meal, Kaito (clone) used his teleportation ability to head straight to the area near the church... and found a giant white barrier stretching out around the church.

”A barrier? He never set a barrier at the church in the original plot, right?”

”Now I am 100% sure something is wrong here.” Kaito (clone) frowned at the big sphere in front of him, ”How the fuck did that bastard priest set up such a huge barrier?”

”Kirei shouldn’t have the ability to open this barrier in the original... what’s going on here...”

Curious about the barrier in front of him, Kaito (clone) decided to investigate it by touching it with his left hand (because he was afraid of destroying the barrier with his right hand) but this turned out to be the worst decision he ever made.

...!!

Instantly, Kaito felt an incredible stinging sensation from his left hand, spreading throughout his body-- making him groan in pain and instinctively wanting to stay away!

”Arrgh! I-It’s sting! It’s a barrier with holy attribute!”

At that moment, Kaito immediately remembered his identity as a devil-- and it made sense that the barrier around the church would have the holy attribute.

Kaito’s question now was, how and why was this barrier in the church?

When Kaito’s attention is focused on figuring out the barrier in front of him, Kaito doesn’t realize that someone is about to attack him.

*Woosh*

From inside the church, suddenly 4 swords (rapier-like) flew towards him at a very fast speed. Kaito who was not focused, with the help of haki was still able to read the incoming attacks, but one of the swords was still stuck in his leg.

....!!

”Aaaaargh!”

Kaito, who was usually injured, could normally still move even though he was stabbed by a sword, but he felt an extreme amount of pain all over his body. Seeing the appearance of the sword that stabbed him, Kaito immediately recognized why he was in pain because the sword that stabbed him was the black key, a special weapon made by the church to exterminate vampires and demons.

If it wasn’t for his clone being slightly more durable, Kaito (clone) was sure he would have been destroyed by this attack.

In this holy grail war, only one person is proficient in using this specialized church weapon so Kaito knows who’s attacking him.

*Step* *Step*

A few seconds later, coming out of the church from a dim part of the church was a brown-haired man wearing a cassock and 4 another black key on his left hand... the impartial mediator of this holy grail war, Kotomine Kirei.

”K-Kirei!”

”Good afternoon, Kaito-kun.” Ignoring his question, Kirei greeted him back with a smirk, clearly amused by his suffering look, ”Or I must say, devil-kun?”

...!!!

Hearing the call given by Kirei, Kaito was shocked and amazed. This is because, unlike the future vision that could be leaked overnight, his identity as a devil should be a secret that only Rin, Saber and Shirou knows!

At this moment, Kaito honestly felt very scared because this Holy Grail was different from what he knew and whoever the culprit is, he was clearly getting outplayed.
