The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

After meeting Ilya during their walk, Kaito naturally takes this opportunity to invite her to talk in the park, where there are not many people around at this current time (it’s a work day).

Fortunately, Kaito also has a device, which he calls a disperse rod, to make the surrounding area inaccessible to non-magi (similar to idle disperse from To Aru Majutsu), so he can create a place where anything that happens in this area will not affect innocent people.

”So, what did you want to talk to me about, Onii-chan?” Ilya said in a wary tone, her eyes also clearly wary of him, the people behind him, and the barrier surrounding them. When she is invited to a quiet place, Ilya naturally becomes cautious—especially when she seems to know Kaito’s identity already.

...

”Uh... It’s my guess, but you should know about my identity, right?” Kaito guessed calmly.

She seems equally surprised at their appearance when they meet, even though they never met before. At first, Ilya probably could tell whether he is a servant or not based on their mana, but her action tells him that she seems to know more than that.

”Yes.” Ilya stared at Kaito with her red eyes calmly and explained, ”At first I wasn’t sure, but after feeling the ’mana’ in your body and your appearance matched the information the church gave, I became certain that you are the servant that Tohsaka family summoned!”

...!!

Hearing Ilya answer, both Kaito, Est, and Saber are equally surprised since they know the content of the future-- especially Kaito who realizes the future plot he knows probably has been broken.

”...Damn that bastard priest!” Kaito complained immediately but also made him feel the same time.

...

According to the plot he remembers, Ilya should be going to church tonight, but Ilya should have visited the church last night and met Kirei, explaining why she knows about his identity. Or even worse, Kirei meets Ilya directly at Einzbern mansion... but that doesn’t make sense because Kirei shouldn’t know all the participant’s identities beforehand unlike him so this possibility can be denied.

Well, what makes it unbearable, is that bastard Kotomine Kirei also leaked his information to other participants already which in itself something would never happened in the original plot.

Assuming the worst situation, Medea and Shinji also know his information, considering even Ilya knows about his information.

In fact, Kaito has noticed a few things that are very different from what he remembers in the plot... he knows his plot insight is not so reliable anymore. After all, Lancer’s warning last night was very ominous-- and then according to Saber, the mana in the air is also quite abundant. Not as much the age of Gods, but she feels the modern age shouldn’t contain this much mana in the air.

She also told him that she could absorb mana normally in the air like when she was still alive, which means that every servant is probably capable of running magic power on their own as if they also have their independent action skill.

This series of facts already set alarm to him, and perhaps he is traveling not to the 5th holy grail war, but rather to its parallel world.

If Kaito had asked the system, he would already asked about this but unfortunately, all the system functions have been disabled.

Now Kaito has become even more convinced since somehow they manage to meet Ilya while walking around the city, something that shouldn’t ever happen in the original.

...

”Anyway, do you want to fight me, Big Brother?”

Ilya quickly assumed while taking a step back in wary, ”Otherwise, why you would bother to set up this kind of barrier?”

Although Ilya isn’t exactly an amazing magus, she could still recognize that the barrier surrounding them keeps this area safe from ordinary humans making it a perfect place to fight even in broad daylight.

”No.” Kaito shook his head, gesturing for her to calm down, ”I am here just to talk to you, master of Einzbern.”

”Then, what do you want to talk about, Onii-chan? We are an enemy, right? That blonde is also a servant, isn’t she?”

”Umm... Calm down. Let me introduce myself first.”

Kaito bowed his head slightly to her with his right hand on his chest (following the ethique of nobility) and then calmly said, ”My name is Kaito and I want to make a deal with you, Ilyasviel von Einzbern.”

???

Surprised by Kaito’s introduction, Ilya tilted her head in confusion, ignoring the fact somehow Kaito knew her name beforehand, ”A deal?”

Kaito nodded and directly explained, ”I know that the mini holy grail inside you will endanger your life the more servants get eliminated later on, and I have a way to save you from dying.”

...!!

””What?!””

Hearing Kaito’s sudden offer, both Saber, Est, and Ilya herself were shocked. Saber and Est, were shocked because this was not according to what Kaito had planned last night. And, Ilya, was shocked because the big brother she met for the first time knew about her body’s situation and even had a way to save her.

”Master?” (Est)

”Kaito, what are you doing right now? This is not part of the plan!” (Saber)

”Just trust me, Saber. I know what I am doing.” (Kaito)

”Are you serious, Big Brother?” (Ilya)

”Yes, I am very serious. Please trust and cooperate with me, Ilya-chan.” (Kaito)

...

At this point, Kaito, who had just realized that many things were different from the plothe currently knew, realized that his plan to follow the ’plot’ in the original and take advantage of it would most likely not work.

Instead, Kaito decides to change his approach to ”saving Ilya and Sakura as soon as possible before the plot becomes even more chaotic” instead of relying on the plot. Ilya already appeared in front of him, anyway... so all Kaito needed to do was convince this naughty arrogant legal loli in front of him.

...

Naturally, Ilya doesn’t believe in Kaito’s offer and thinks it is a trap. On the contrary, Ilya becomes more alert and seems to be preparing to fight Kaito, making the situation tense.

After all, they had just met for the first time and it was clear that Ilya didn’t trust him because their current position should be as enemies.

”Big Brother, how did you know this fact? Is this a trap?” Ilya asked with an angry look.

”One of my abilities gives me the ability to see the future.” Kaito explained calmly, ”That’s where I know your situation and I can’t help but want to help you.”

”Liar!!”

...!!!

Ilya rejected Kaito’s offer not believing he had any malicious intent toward her, ”How am I supposed to believe you, Onii-chan?”

”You must be lying, right? After all, we are an enemy!”

”Uh, I am not... Trust me.”

Kaito tried his best to convince Ilya, but too bad, Ilya decide to have enough of his bullshit.

”I don’t believe you, Berserker!!!”

...!!!

In an annoyed tone, Ilya shouted for her servant and a giant black man appeared behind Ilya stomping his feet, making the ground around him shake. He gave Kaito and Saber the impression of a monster, and just by his appearance they felt intimidated.

The Berserker, Heroic spirit, Heracles.

”Kaito!”

Saber immediately put out her Excalibur, prepared to fight, but Kaito shook his head and calmly said, ”Don’t worry, we are here not to fight.”

”Huh?”

”Just believe me. Put your sword down, I will take care of this quickly.”

Hearing Kaito’s words, Saber who initially prepared to fight decides to trust him and calm down. Although she never sees Kaito in action, she has heard that Kaito is very strong and able to playfully fight with Lancer without using any of his abilities.

Heracles is indeed one of the strongest servants in this holy grail, but Kaito has the confidence to defeat him easily. Thanks to his noble phantasm, Heracles may need to get killed 12 times with different methods to fully eliminate him, but Kaito has a dozen ways to kill him in a short time too using his props and multiple abilities.

The only concern he has in this holy grail war is Gilgamesh, which Kaito admits he really need to go all out to even got a chance to win against him.

...

”Ilya-chan, would you order him to stay still? I don’t want to hurt him.”

Kaito said calmly, seeming bored at the moment. Kaito even put both of his hands in his pockets, showing that he wasn’t taking this fight seriously. However, Kaito is also pissed at the moment, because all the plans he prepared before got scrapped since the situation changed.

He can only blame his bad luck and the system does something behind the scenes, and Kaito just hopes he makes it out alive of this troublesome personal task.

”Such arrogant words Onii-chan, no one is stronger than Berserker!”

Naturally, Ilya who saw Kaito looking normal and not afraid of Berserker at all, became furious and yelled, ”Berserker, beat this arrogant brother and capture him for me!”

”RAAAAAAA!” (Berserker)

”Archer, be careful!” (Saber)

”Master!” (Est)

...!!

After hearing Ilya’s order, Berserker immediately roared and ran towards Kaito very fast like a monster, creating a terror atmosphere along the way.

*Sigh*

[Eight Gates: Gate of Life]

....!!!

Normally, Kaito would try to gauge his skill against Servant as he did with Lancer last night, but right now, Kaito isn’t in the mood for that and decides to be serious.

His purpose was to save Ilya as soon as possible, not to beat her. He also doesn’t have much time to play, since the longer the barrier is up, the more magic energy he needs to spend to keep it up from the public.

...

As Berserker was about to hit him closely, Kaito jumped high into the air to avoid it. Not giving up, Heracles then quickly pursued him by also jumping into the air-- with an intent to not give Kaito time to rest.

However, this action quickly backfired, as both Ilya and Berserker don’t know about Kaito’s ability to teleport.

In a flash, Kaito immediately disappeared in front of Berserker and then appeared behind him in mid-air. And then, Kaito punched him in the back with a fist imbued with Armament Haki and Physical Enhancement from Eight Gates which strong enough combination to blow him away.

(A/N: Haki has been stated to multiply base attack power by 30-40x times than usual)

*BAMM*

...!!

This punch sent a huge body of Berserker flying away in the other direction, leaving Saber and Ilya surprised at how ridiculously fast and strong Kaito was.

Not stopping there, Kaito then teleported on top of Berserker in mid-air in a mere fraction of a second (still getting blown away from the previous impact) and delivered another punch from above to below-- causing Berserker to crash to the ground and creating a mini earthquake on the surrounding area.

*BOOM*

....!!!!

”Berserker!”

Seeing how easily Kaito destroyed Berserker in a second, Ilya screamed in dismay. Saber is also genuinely shocked at how strong Kaito is, wondering if she has a chance to win against him. The impact of Kaito’s attack was so great that it created a large crater in the park with Berserker groaning in pain in the middle-- which created the impression that Kaito is the one who is truly a monster, not Berserker who lay below him.

At that moment, Ilya realized what kind of grave mistake she just made in making an enemy of Kaito-- who had no trouble playing with her servant.

Still, Ilya who believes Berserker is the strongest in this holy grail, believes Kaito is just lucky (ignored). Kaito also knows there is no way Ilya would give up just because Berserker got killed once. After all, in the original, even when Berserker died for the first time, she still ordered him to hunt Saber and Archer relentlessly.

The only true way to stop this fight is not beating the Berserker, but stopping the master, so Kaito quickly decides to take the next course of action.

Before Ilya ordered Berserker again, this time Kaito used teleportation again to appear behind her-- while holding one of Petrify’s knives on her neck.

...!!!

*Gulp*

”Ilya-chan, the game is over.”

”Big Brother...”

”Order your servant to stop moving... otherwise I will start hurting you and eliminate your servant.” Kaito said with a cold tone, clearly showing he was not playing anymore.

At this point, Kaito doesn’t care if Ilya is going to hate him after this, as long the optional task is completed. With how messy the plot has become, he believes there is no way he could finish the optional task with his previous plan which is indeed true.

...

”Hmmph! I know you are lying Onii-chan, you want to hurt me!”

”Just kill me! I know I am already lost anyway!”

”Just kill me, I dare you!”

However, contrary to his expectations, instead of following his order, Ilya begins to cry and throws a tantrum, making Kaito feel bad and confused about what to do.

*Sigh*

Looking at disobedient Ilya in front of him, Kaito feels frustrated and then realizes he might need to show proof to convince her-- such as the device that he will use to save her.

”You don’t seem to be convinced... Then, how about I show you something, Ilya?”

...!!

The moment Ilya looked at the item in Kaito’s hand, both Saber and Ilya opened their eyes wide and exclaimed, ””Another... holy grail?!””

Seeing the grail that is very similar to the holy grail, Ilya and Saber are surprised and wonder if he won the holy grail war-- then Kaito explains that one of his abilities is creation, and this grail is just one of his works inspired by real holy grail and can accommodate human souls (it has been proven).

Learning about this, Ilya agrees to follow and listen to Kaito’s offer since she admits that if he wanted to trick her, Kaito could eliminate them anytime with the abilities he showed before. Meanwhile, Saber is very grateful that Kaito is her ally, and not her enemy because Saber realizes that Kaito is probably the most dangerous servant with his ability to create any item that is no less dangerous than a noble phantasm.

Only Berserker got hurt severely in this confrontation but fortunately, Kaito was not so serious and never wanted to kill him in the first place.
